Have you read The Infernal Devices and The Mortal Instruments books?

I keep looking at them on my book shelf, but then the amount of books and pages scares me away ^.^ I've owned them for years, I'm not quite sure why as it isn't my usual genre but I want to give them a go.

After a few more summer reads I'm going to do this. Any recommendations or thoughts on these series?
