Summary:

Marie flees her town after discovering she has strange magical abilities that could have her persecuted by the Church. This and the mysterious death of her dearest friend Grace, so she resolves to find out what truly happened to her. Having found out the relations the Winter Witch has to Grace and her newfound magic, Marie will come by many obstacles to reach the snowy keep of the witch in the Northern Mountains. Throughout the coming years she will understand love and the consequences of her actions, growing to know a world far crueller than what she'd once thought it to be. In time Marie will discover a resolve within herself to remove the power from those who abuse it. She believes her promise made to the fair folk will be fulfilled, when there may come a day magic isn't scorned, when the fair folk can once again live not in fear, but side by side with the humans.
