Summary:

A deadly new threat had settled over Elvendale, last haven of the Seelie. In order to drive the dangers caused by the dark sorceress away, the seers of the faerie court prayed to the goddess Galaviora for guidance. In response, the goddess gave the purest of elemental magic to five half human half Seelie babies born in the light of the Fading Moons, moon cycles that only appeared every sixteen years. However, the minute the children were born they were hunted down by the sorceress's minions. Sent to the human world to evade the dangers of the sorceress, the five changelings carry the burden of one day overthrowing the darkness.

Sixteen years later, the five prophesied face problems of their own. Andromeda becomes twice orphaned when her aunt and uncle passed away in a fire that seemed accidental at first. Eliza had always known her mother was hiding something, but she doesn't find out how dark her mother's secrets were until she's found dead in an empty alleyway. Willow once trusted everyone, until she finds out that the people closest to you aren't trustworthy at all. Katelyn has everything anyone could ever wish for: a large house, tons of money, and the best parents and sibling. Though that all changes when she finds out she's adopted. Isaac grew up in Mirodis, the origin of dragons. He struggles between becoming the person his father expects of him and the person the faerie court entrusted with the job of finding and protecting the other prophesied.

When a deadly plague infects Willow's mother, the five changelings must enter the Seelie realm to find a cure. To do that though, they must venture into the most deadly part of Elvendale, the Faerie Circle, where the dark sorceress is waiting for them to fall into her grasp.
