After two mysterious and sudden attacks that left Fara scarred for life, she flees from her town in search of her long lost best friend, Xhaiden, who insists that he is the only one who can help her. The two decide to leave together to prevent more innocent lives from cruel and silent death, and to find out why it was them.

It was they who were being pursued.

It was they who possessed powers.

And it was they who sought for the meaning of their enemies that were always right behind them, which ultimately led to more attacks, which also led to some things that neither of them can fathom, and something that Fara and Xhaiden cannot escape.

Together, Fara and Xhaiden must travel from city to city, in search of sanctuary.

Together, they must fight and defend themselves from the inevitable, in search of a distant hope that may never come.
