My Way-Biana, Linh, Marella, and Maruca
Hey guys. Thanks for reading my book. If you want to hear these songs I'm using to write, you can find some of them on the YouTube channels kotlcsquad and kotlc_nerd. Again, I do not own these characters or the music. The thing I write about might not have actually happened. Please do not judge if it is not something that happened in the book. Here is My Way by Ava Max.
My momma used to say,
Baby, make me proud.
You've got such a pretty face,
But such a dirty mouth.
But how come when I tell you,
What's on my mind like men do,
I'm called crazy?
Crazy.
Biana was done being pushed around. The whole world did it, now even her dad and Fitz. They treated her like she was a little girl. Like she was too delicate to be involved in serious matters. She had had enough.
This is not a love song,
This is not a sing along.
But ladies, are you with me?
I know that you're with me.
Just because she was a girl didn't mean she wasn't strong. Biana had an idea. She got out her Imparter and got to work.
Add a little sugar, they say,
Be a little sweeter, they say.
Gotta give and take, but I say,
This time it's my way, ah, my way.
Be a little proper, they say,
Speak a little softer, they say.
Gotta be a lady, but I say,
This time it's my way, ah, my way.
(My way, my way, my way)
This time it's my way, ah, my way.
(My way, my way, my way)
This time it's my way, ah, my way.
Biana met up with Marcua, Linh, and Marella outside the Councillor's tower. They got out their microphones, looked at each other and smiled.
I'll do me,
You do you.
I don't need nobody's permission.
Won't back down,
Win or lose,
Oh yeah, one and only limited edition. (yeah)
Marcua turned on their amplifiers. "Ready girls?" Biana said. "Let's show them women are just as good as they are."
"This is not a love song." Sang Maruca.
"This is not a sing along." Marella harmonized.
"But ladies, are you with me? I know that you're with me!" Biana and Linh joined in, hitting the high note perfectly. A crowd started to gather around them, most of them women.
"Add a little sugar, they say, be a little sweeter, they say." Linh started.
"Gotta give and take but I say." Maruca and Marella jumped in.
"This time it's my way, ah, my way." The four girls sang together.
"Be a little proper, they say, speak a little softer, they say, gotta be a lady, but I say. This time it's my way, ah, my way." Biana's voice soared through the crowd, who had gathered and started cheering.
"My way, my way, my way" Marella and Maruca crooned in the background.
"This time it's my way, ah, my way. This time it's my way, ah, my way. This time it's my way, ah, my way. This time it's my way, ah, my way" Four voices blended into one as they finished the song.
The crowd burst into cheers. The girls looked around at each other. They were grinning, proud of themselves. They had stood up for their rights, and encouraged others to do the same. They high fived and hugged.
"We did amazing." Biana said, congratulating them.
