Emberpaw gazed at Goldenpaw snuggled in his fur. He blushed for a few moments. He gently moved away from her, deciding to hunt.

"I'll come," Blossompaw said. Emberpaw nodded.

"Alright, I was going to go hunting. I thought I smelled a cat's scent," Emberpaw explained. The she-cat nodded, and padded after the tom. Emberpaw sniffed the air for scents of prey.. He parted his jaws. Rabbit! Blossompaw stepped back. He shrugged, and followed the scent.

"Who are you and why are you stealing our prey!?" a howl rang out, making the apprentice stop.

"Fang. They are barely to-bes," a soft, reassuring mew came.

"So!? They are intruders!" Emberpaw took a step back, before breaking into a run.

"Guys! Rub!" Blossompaw yelled. Emberpaw ran to Goldenpaw.

"Wake up1" He begged. She shifted. A dark tom growled.

"Do i need to repeat myself?" Goldenpaw shot up. The tom looked at her. "Will you tell me?" She glanced at Emberpaw.

"She won't answer," He said. "She's mute," He explained.

"Is she?" He narrowed his eyes, before jumping at her, going for a killing bite. Emberpaw froze for a heart beat, before pouncing at the tom, tearing him off Goldenpaw. The older she-cat wound up the others.

"Come," She said. "You too, Fang. It won't do any good if they're dead," She spat. The apprentices had no choice. Goldenpaw's grey eyes were wide i fear. The blue-gray she-cat led them to a cave, deeper in the forest.

"Stoneteller?" She murmured. An Elderly tom blinked his yellow eyes open.

"Gleam? Who are those young cats with you?"

"We don't know. They are to-be aged,"

"To-be?" Otterpaw echoed.

"Yes, cats 8 moons old and above, training to be cave guards or prey-hunters,"

"Cave-guards? Prey-hunter?" Emberpaw was confused.

" i told you! They must be rouges or something!" the red tom said.

"Rouges!? We are no rouges! We are Clan cats!" Goldpaw snarled.

"And that is..." the blue-gray she-cat tilted her head.

Blossompaw sighed. "We are a group of cats. Three groups. Each one has a leader, deputy, medicine cats, warriors, apprentices, queens, kits, and elders," She explained.

"This is Stoneteller. Our leader and healer," She said. "I'm Gleam of Leaping Fish, a prey-hunter. I was chosen to feed the Tribe of Calming Wind. This is the Fang of Hissing Viper," She flicked her blue-gray tail to the tom who almost murdered Goldenpaw. "He;s a cave-guard, the protector of the tribe," Gleam said. "Stoneteller sees signs in The Pointed Stones from the Tribe of Endless Hunting, where the cats that came before now live,"

"We were sent by StarClan. We are on a journey," Reedpaw said. "StarClan is where our ancestors go," he explained. "I'm Reedpaw, This is Otterpaw, Flare, Blossompaw, Goldenpaw, Emberpaw, and Goldpaw,"

"Show them around," Stoneteller said, closing his yellow eyes. Fang huffed.

"Show them your kits!" Gleam encouraged. Fang sighed and led them to a willow tree.

"Fawn, shh," a calming, motherly mew came from inside.

"This is Deer that watches cautiously, my mate," Fang said. "And my kits, Fawn that is lost in the forest, Fog that hides many secrets, and Beetle that crawls forward," Fang said proudly.

"Why do you have such looong names?" Goldpaw asked rudely.

"We name our kits after what we first see after they are born," Deer explained.

"How long have you been a queen?" Otterpaw asked. Deer looked at the brown tabby with a quizzical look.

"Nursing kits," Flarepaw said annoyed.

"Oh! A kit mother? Well, these kits are three moons, and our oldest, and our only kit from our first litter is twelve moons," She said. "That's Sunshine between the tree leaves and her kits, Wren that pecks the ground and Lake that bursts with life," She said.

"There's a lake!?" Otterpaw burst out. "I'm from a clan that loves water," she quickly explained.

The kit-mother chuckled. "Yes! Oak that stands tall can help you," she said. Otterpaw beamed. Goldenpaw watched the kits. She limped toward them. Fawn mewed up at her. Emberpaw sighed, and his stomach rumbled. When the cats looked at him he licked his chest with discomfort.

"Eat before you go," Sunshine yawned. He gave a nod at the she-cat, walking out the willow tree.
