With Franky on board as their new crewmate the Strawhats set off on their new ship "So that's it we're leaving?"Nami asked "Luffy"Chopper whined a bit "Last call Strawhat are you sure? Seems like we're still missing someone"Franky said "No it's okay we waited long enough and he never bothered to show up, we went over this back at Galley La everyone agreed on what to do"Luffy said but despite that he was still nervous.

~flashback~

After dinner Sanji revealed he had spotted Usopp, the sniper had been practicing what to say when he'd return "So Usopp's really gonna come back?"Luffy asked "Uh huh i saw him on the coast practicing his big return speech "That's great news man i was so worried, okay let's go get him right now!"Luffy said.

"Well that's Usopp for ya, should of known"Nami said, Luffy, Nami and Chopper went to head out "All of you hold on a second!"Zoro said stopping them "I understand that you wanna see him again but i won't allow you to bring him back here"Zoro said "Huh? Why not?"Luffy asked "You can't kiss his ass and tell him you're happy to see him again you know that"Zoro said crossing his arms.

"Zoro"Luffy said "Until he bows his head and apologizes for what he did he can't come back" Zoro said "Hey i don't know what your problem is but"Nami was cut off "Shut up! Doesn't matter what you two were thinking when you started arguing it doesn't matter who was wrong or who was right either, when two men agree to have a duel with each other no matter what the outcome is they have to accept it and after he lost that duel he left on his own accord" Zoro said continueing what he was saying earlier.

"You understand don't you? He may be and idiot but this guy is still our captain, we're better off without a crew member who disrespects their leader when things get rough, a crew with no respect and a captain that doesn't demand it are destined to fall apart quickly"Zoro said turning to the others.

"Listen"Zoro said turning to Luffy "I don't mind if you're easy going most of the time but right now you've gotta man up, you can't let people walk all over you cause if you do that it's gonna be me who leaves this crew"Zoro said "You're making this harder then it needs to be"Nami said.

"Don't get me wrong it's fine if he rejoins the crew and it's fine if you want him back but if he doesn't apologize for what he did and pretends like nothing ever happened between the two of you, then i won't forgive him and i won't stand for it, in other words we'll leave the island without him"Zoro said.

"Wait Zoro i agree Usopp's the one at fault not Luffy but we can settle with that after he joins up with us again"Nami said, Zoro stabbed the floor with one of his swords "So that the fact that he left our crew means nothing? He can come and go as he pleases?!"Zoro asked "No but i, Nicole talk some sense into him"Nami said turning to Nicole who was still sitting on the floor.

Nicole sighed a bit as she stood up the sunset behind her showing off the light red ish tint to her hair "Nami, he's got a point, you know he has a point if anyone of us can just come and go as they want we won't get further then this, Usopp has to say sorry and if Luffy forgives him everything is fine"she said walking over to Zoro and turning around as she stood next to him.

"However if Usopp is let on like nothing happened i'll be leaving the crew too"Nicole said narrowing her eyes a bit "If he pulls a pointless like this on a whim then how are we supposed to trust him moving forward? It's simple if the first thing that comes out of Usopp's mouth is and apology then we're good but if he tried to make some excuse then he's no longer welcome here, we're not just pretending to be pirates, this isn't a game"Zoro said putting his sword back.

"You're right we already went our separate ways before, there's still a few days until they finish with the ship we can wait that long, it's all up to him"Luffy said.

~present~

"We waited all that time but he never bothered to come so i guess we have our answer, he'll be fine, it's not like he quit being a pirate it's a big world out there but i'm sure we'll run into him again someday even if he isn't one of us any more"Luffy said still very clearly nervous, Zoro was shaking a bit from anger but he stopped as Nicole held his hand.

"Luffy can we wait a bit longer we're not in a rush just yet right? Hey Luffy!"Nami called but Luffy wasn't saying anything when something rocked the ship, they were under cannon fire from Garp "Hey Luffy can you hear me?! This is your grandpa speaking! Don't try to ignore me!"Garp said using a megaphone.

"Yeah i hear you what's the deal?! What are you doing coming back here! You said you were gonna leave us alone!"Luffy yelled "Yeah well i say a lot of things truth of the matter is i'm sending you to a watery grave"Garp said still using the megaphone.

"What?!"Luffy asked "I know this isn't much consolation but for what it's worth i'll fight you all on my own"Garp said using the megaphone before he started throwing cannonballs at them with his bare hands but they still had a force like they were shot out of a cannon.

The Strawhats did their best to hold off the cannonball barrage as they waited on Usopp, Usopp did show up but the crew ignored his attempts to act like nothing happened as they fought off the barrage of cannonballs thrown by Garp.

"I'M SORRY!!! I'm too stubborn i know! I take back every word i said!"Usopp yelled snot and tears running down his face, the others stopped ignoring him "I know i'm being pathetic, i know i already said i quit, but will you let me take it back?! Please! I'm begging you! You gotta forgive me! If i'm not with you there's no point! Don't leave me alone! I need you guys! Please let me join the crew! Just one more time!"Usopp cried.

Luffy stretched his arm out "Hurry up! Grab on already!"he yelled snot and tears running down his face, Usopp grabbed on and Luffy pulled him in "Alright the gangs all here! We're gonna get away from this cannonballs and head to the new world! Let's go!"Luffy said and the others cheered.

The Strawhats pulled their sails up on Franky's command, whatever he had planned he wasn't sharing with the others and Luffy was going along with it far too happy now that they had Usopp back "Would you hurry up? We've got cannons flying at us!"Sanji said kicking a cannonball away "Alright Franky i don't get it but Nicole and i furled all the sails now do whatever you're gonna do before the navy blows us up"Zoro said.

"There's something you're forgetting, don't you know we can leave until we give this ship a name"Franky said "A name?! At a time like this?!"Sanji yelled at him "Of course this is her maiden voyage so there's no point if we do it now"Franky said "Well i guess"Sanji said kicking away another cannonball.

"I just thought of the perfect name!"Luffy said and went onto list a bunch of animal names somehow fitting lion into it "Well i did have a lion in mind for the design though the guys at Galley La didn't seem to get that, Iceburg had a suggestion, the Thousand Sunny, a fitting name for a ship that will sail a thousand seas with a sunny smile"Franky said.

"Oh i like it"Luffy said "Me too it's super cool!" Chopper said "I kinda wanted Big Boss Lionel but Thousand Sunny is good too" Zoro said "I was going to suggest Creature of Darkness"Robin said "Funny i had something similar in mind, Beast of the Night"Nicole said "I like Monsieur Sunflower personally"Sanji said.

"A ship to sail a thousand seas with a sunny smile it's perfect don't you think?"Robin asked "I like Ice pops idea just fine let's go with that"Luffy said "Sounds good the Thousand Sunny it is" Sanji said "I agree!"Nami, Nicole and Usopp said "Nice to meet you Sunny!"Chopper said "I thought we had a harder time agreeing on this but i guess it worked out fine"Zoro said "So it did"Robin said.

"Hey Franky stop pouting and get moving use this secret weapon of yours so we can get out of here"Sanji said "Better make it fast too the navy's gonna catch up any second"Zoro said "Yea yeah i know take one last look at Water 7 cause it's gonna be out of sight before you know it, i'm warning ya once we start moving we'll really be moving"Franky said going to do whatever he was planning.

"Okay got it one sec"Luffy said and hoped on the rail "Grandpa! Oh and if you're there Coby! It was nice to see you again!"he called "What are you yapping about Luffy?! I got plenty more cannonballs!"Garp called and tossed one right over but Luffy smashed it once it got close.

"I don't know what's gonna happen but we're gonna get away well i hope to see you guys again some day!"Luffy called "You little turd you show your grandpa some respect you hear me?! How dare you!"Garp yelled "Thanks for helping us name the ship Ice pops you're awesome! And thanks to everybody else too! Bye monster granny! Bye Galley La!"Luffy yelled.

Garp brought a gigantic cannonball attached to a chain and tossed it over just as the ball was going to hit them Franky finished with his plan and the Thousand Sunny went flying "It need some three barrels of cola but it can fly for a whole kilometer"Franky said.

"I'm not trying to brag here but simply put anything the Going Merry could do this ship can do better and it's got tricks of it's own but even if it's all new i hope the brave spirit of the Merry can live on in the Sunny, if anything brakes i'll fix it up as good as new from weapons to furniture i know this ship up and down it may be my masterpiece but it's all your now"Franky said as the Sunny landed into the sea and the Strawhats continued on their way.
