Kate opened her eyes again and said " A new day in my eternal prison." Kate grabbed the diary and got ready for the day and sat on the third floor stairs and said " This diary is the only thing that is keeping me sane in this house." Kate started to read the diary again. " Dear Diary, I kept trying to escape the house but gave up after a while and I can't stop hearing voices telling me to go to the third floor and I want the voices out of my head so I went up to the third floor but it gave me chills down my spine. Date 5/20/1998." Kate looked up at the third floor and got scared and jumped off the stairs and heard a voice saying " Go to the third floor."  Kate shook her head and said " After reading that page I am not going to that floor." Kate put the diary on the chest that was in the hallway and walked away from it. After some time curiosity was getting to Kate and she kept looking at the diary every time she was on the second floor getting a book which got boring really fast. " I feel like I've been reading the same book over and over again." Which was true, for Kate the book was really boring that she kept reading the same book over and over again and even though Kate wouldn't mind reading the diary she got a little scared of it not only for the entry but also the voice telling her to go to the third floor. " I need to talk to a human not me, myself and I." Kate said sighing but no one would come near this house and she couldn't leave the house so the only other people she could talk to were characters in the books. When night came Kate knew that she was done and opened the door and stepped outside and she didn't black out and Kate was so happy that she could scream. " I'm free and now I need to have a talk with her." Kate said as she walked over to the key shop and opened the door and heard that voice. " Sorry but we're closing." Penny said and Kate shut the door and started to talk " Look who's out of the cursed house." Kate said and Penny looked up with a smile on her face and said " Well I didn't expect you to be out to tell the truth I didn't really think anyone could get out of that house." Kate rolled her eyes and asked angrily " So why did you put me in that hell of a house?" Penny looked at her and said " I'm sorry but I have to close up." " You are not closing this shop until you give me some answers!" Kate yelled with anger and annoyance but Penny was also getting annoyed and said " I said I need to close up shop." Kate felt like she was talking to a six year old and yelled " ARE YOU GOING TO TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY OR NOT?!" Penny got up and walked over to Kate and said " For the last time I have to close up shop and when I'm done I'll start talking!" " Oh." Kate said finally calming down and once Penny closed up the shop she said " Anyway I knew that the house was cursed." " What?....." Kate said and Penny continued talking. " I knew that the house was cursed and I only gave you the key because I wanted to play a little prank." Kate was shocked because the only reason why she was locked in that house was because of a joke?! " So what would happen if I didn't accept the house I would have slept on the streets?!" Kate asked and Penny started to laugh and said " First of all we don't have streets you would have slept on the grass and two the villagers are very nice people. They would have loved to help a stranger." " But you said-" Kate was about to say what Penny had said when they first met but Penny interrupted her. " The house is not the only thing I lied about." Kate wanted to explode which she did. " You put me through that house all for a prank! Well it's not funny not even close!" Kate yelled. " Calm down- wait is that purple hair?" Penny said while messing with her hair and Kate said " Yes my hair is purple but that's not important I'm leaving-" But before Kate would say another word and take another step she felt her leg being pulled and that's when she started to get pulled back to the house. " Help me!" Kate screamed but Penny said " I am not getting into this stuff." Penny started to walk away while hearing Kate yelling for help but that's when Kate heard a voice saying " Don't fight it."  Kate held her breath and stopped screaming but it didn't stop the chain pulling her leg and out of fear. Kate closed her eyes. When Kate opened her eyes again she saw that she was back into the house and said " No h-how can I be back here?!" Kate opened the door and tried to ran out of the house but she blacked out like before and when she woke up she saw that she was in the bedroom but something was on her. When Kate looked what was on her she saw it was the diary. " AHHHHHHHH!" Kate screamed as she threw the diary across the room and said " I'm forever trap here because of Penny and I've been hearing voices ever since I read that stupid diary!" Kate said as she got up, grabbed the diary, walked over to the chest and opened it. " I'm done with this diary." She said and put the diary in the chest and closed it and started to face reality.
