At school, Adrien was only half listening to the teacher, while pretending to write notes, though he was actually just writing down names of girls with blue eyes. So far he had Chloe, Rose, and a few other classes, but he felt like he was missing a name, someone he had seen that had blue eyes.
"Adrien, can you tell me the answer to this equation?" Adrien's head ago up, a slight pink tinting his cheeks, but a look at what was on the board, and he relaxed.
"It's, uh, y = 2x + 4," he answered, the teacher nodded and continued on to the next question. He looked back down at his notebook, and sighed quietly. Who was missing?
The shrill ringing of the bell broke his thoughts once more, signaling the end of the class. He closed the notebook and immediately packed it in his bag along with his other utensils he had out.
"Dude, Adrien, are you okay?" He turned to his best friend, Nino, who was looking at him worriedly. "You were spacing out and writing the whole class!"
He shook his head and smiled, "I'm fine Nino, I've just been th--" he stopped, frozen as he watched two familiar faces exit the classroom, the windows allowing him to watch them walking towards the stairs. One was Alya, and the other was the girl who had stood up to Chloe a while back, Marinette, his mind supplied.
She has blue eyes.
"Thinking...a lot..." He finished off, his eyes following the girl curiously. He had never realized they were in the same class. 'Weird,' he thought, 'I thought I knew everyone in my class...'
"You're also spacing out a lot," Nino chuckled, and held out a letter to him. "You got a new one, bright and early." Adrien's eyes flicked down to the letter and snatched it from Nino's hands, grinning and slipping it in his bag. "I swear, you're to hooked on this 'Ladybug' girl, dude."
"Oh, shut up Nino," he rolled his eyes, shoving his friend by the shoulder playfully, "I can't have a little love in my life?"
"Sure you can, but from a mystery girl? I don't know man..."
"Just trust me, okay? She's really nice."
Nino sighed, "I'll take your word for it. But don't come to me if she turns out to be a psycho." Well, he knew Marinette wasn't crazy, she was just shy and not very confident in herself. But hey, he can't let Adriens know that he knows who she is. Where's the fun in that?
Unknown to the two boys, a ginger-haired girl had recorded their conversation and as soon as they were gone, she darted away, smiling. "Chloe has to hear this!" She mumbled as she went to find her "best friend".

Good morning, Adrien!
Are you okay? You were spacing out a little in class today, I'm surprised you answered that equation so easily even though you were t really paying attention.
I would have been a stuttering mess before apologizing to the teacher for not paying attention.
If you're wondering why I sent a letter so early in the morning, it's because I'll be busy later and won't be able to. Not for the next few days, actually.
Don't be surprised if you don't get a letter, that just means I have tasks piled up and trying to finish them ASAP.
Sorry, I saw you writing down names in your notebook. But why? Do they have something in common?
All those girls have blue eyes.
Oh.
Did you...did you remember something?
Um.
I'll give you another hint then, since you remembered.
I didn't actually meet you on a rainy day, that's when I feel in love with you. I met you a few days before that, at the beginning of the year.
Love,
Ladybug

Adrien read the letter carefully. So she's in his math class, met him during the first day of school or so, didn't like him, fell in love with him on a rainy day, and has beautiful blue eyes.
Though it's as though she seemed nervous that he knew she had blue eyes. Well, she has been anonymous for a while now, and didn't want him to know...
He looked down at his notebook, crossing off a few names from his list, knowing full well that Chloe picks on Ladybug helped cross her off the list. Plus, she would never have come up with this, and she's not nice enough to ask him how is every day. Or talk about her own day. She would just talk about herself and how they should be together.
He looked at the few names on the list before resting his chin on his palm, closing his eyes and smiling. He was getting closer!
She hesitantly took the umbrella from his grasp, the fingers brushing together.
His opened his eyes, widening as he realized that he had remembered something again! He took out his stationary, smiling.

My Dearest Ladybug,
I believe you still have my umbrella.
