2~I Fall Out Of The Wrong Chimney
Percy
"Percy! Annabeth! Thalia!" My mum embraced us all in a bone crushing hug.
My mum, Sally Jackson, the best mum in the world. She is kind, nice and rarely raises her voice...except when my room looks a complete mess. And she makes the best blue cookies!
My mum shut the door behind us as we came in with our huge trunks filled with a few things that barely took a fifth of the space. They were light enough, what with them being empty, but I doubt that they'll remain that way after we were done shopping for our books and equipment.
"Mum! You are a- a witch! And you never told me?" I asked her.
"I'm sorry, Percy. I just thought that you already had a lot on your plate." My mum answered.
Guess she was right though with the whole Greek, Roman, Gaia, war thing.
"Percy! Annabeth! Thalia! What are you doing here?" Paul Blofis, my step dad appeared out of a room.
I turned to him and replied, "Paul, someone has a lot of explaining to do.
***
"So, you are a witch?" Paul asked. Poor Paul. He looked so much more confused than I ever was. And that's stating a lot.
"Well, yes. And because you three are starting school in a couple of days, we have to go to London to do all your shopping." My mum replied like it was no big deal.
"London! Mum! How are we gonna get to London?" I asked, freaking out. If we were going to go by plane then-
"We'll be going to London by floo powder." My mum answered
What the hell is flee powder supposed to be?
"What?" Me, Annabeth and Thalia chorused together.
"Well, it's- I'd better show you. Get ready boys and girls 'cause we'll be travelling to London in a few seconds. Paul, we won't take long, okay?"
Paul just nodded his head numbly as we mum got up and walked over to our fireplace. Yeah, we have a fireplace in our apartment. Don't ask me why 'cause I don't know. Ask Annabeth. She knows the answer to every single question in the world.
My mum took down a vase from the mantel and emptied the artificial flowers from it.
"Alright," my mum started facing us. "So you take a handful of this powder from this vase, chuck it at the fireplace, step into it, say 'Diagon Alley' clearly and you should appear in a street filled with people wearing robes and pointed hats and different shops. There'll be a big white marble bank called 'Gringotts', okay? I want you to go there and wait for the rest of us. All clear?"
We all nodded and then she asked, "Who'd like to go first?"
"I will." Annabeth replied. I was about to protest but she had already taken a handful of the flee powder stuff and chucked it at the empty fireplace. Well, it was empty a second before she threw the powder in it. Now green flames danced across it.
"Uh, so do I...um, step into this?" Annabeth asked uncertainly.
My mum just nodded.
Annabeth took a deep breath and walked straight in and said in a clear loud voice, "Diagon Alley."
Then she vanished. Before I could react, my mum said, "Don't worry, Percy. She's fine." Years of war had made me specially protective over my friends and family. And after that fall into Tartarus, I was even more worried about Annabeth. "Thalia you next." My mum said.
Thalia took a handful of the powder and went through the same process.
"Percy." My mum said to me.
I threw in some powder, walked into it and said as clearly as I could with the smoke filling my lungs, "D-Diagon Alley."
Suddenly, the whole world spun before me and darkness swallowed me. A couple of chimney shapes passed on in front of me as I spun then I was shot out from one of the chimneys and landed in a gloomy and creepy looking shop. Something told me that this was not the right place to be.
(A/N. I so wanted to stop here! But I owe you guys a longer chapter.)
Instinctively, my hand crept to my pocket where my fingers found the reassurance of my lethal ballpoint pen. Riptide.
I only vaguely realised that I was sooty because I was more concerned in not getting my self killed. I looked around the shop. It was definitely a shop, though it was unlike any that I had ever seen before. In racks stood glass jars filled with gruesome things like eyeballs that were looking right at me and...were those noses?
The door was boarded up, so I guessed that the shop was closed or out of business or something.
Displayed behind the dusty window at the front of the shop, in a glass case, was a book. Yeah, a book. But the book radiated pure death and misery. In fact, this whole place radiated death and misery!
Then I heard a crash behind me. One of the glass jars had crashed onto the floor but there was no one around there that could've caused it.
I took Riptide from my pocket and looked around. Still, I could see nothing. Then, just as I was about to get out of there, I saw something dart behind one of the racks. At once I recognised it. An Empousai.
I uncapped my pen, turning it into a sword and I did what I'd normally do. I ran after it.
I ran behind the many racks, the eyeballs following my every movement, chasing down the Empousai. In a short few seconds, I had it cornered. Behind her was a wall. Dead end. The Empousai slowly turned to me, realising there was no place it could go, and said in a raspy voice, "My mistress will overpower you demigod scum. She's waiting to get revenge on that miserable girl. The one who you hold dear."
"Just skip the speech and let me finish you off." I said trying to sound impatient but truthfully I was kinda worried about what she said.
She tried backing up against the wall but banged into something. Something invisible. The 'something fell to the floor with a crash. I ran my sword through the empousai, finish her off and faced the 'something' on the floor. There was nothing there. Then I wondered whether that person had something like Annabeth's invisibility cap...
I kneeled down and felt around attempting to find who ever it is. Just as my hand touched something solid, there was a crack and it disappeared. I felt the ground near me but there was nothing there.
With Rptide still in my hand, I made my way over to the front door. I used Riptide to slice the door in half and get out. I was now standing in a street lined with shops, just as dark and gloomy as the one that I was in a second ago.
People with pointed hats and robes, just as my mum described, were walking around. But, if I was gonna go to a school filled with these people, I'd have probably freaked out. A sign, placed not far away from me, told me that I was in a place called 'Knockturn Alley.' Even with my dyslexia, I knew that the sign definitely did not say 'Diagon Alley.'
An old grandmother came up to me. She had yellowed teeth and looked just plain creepy. "Are you alright dear? Would you like some of these?" She asked, gesturing at a tray she was holding. The tray had stuff that looked like toenails or something!
"Uh, no thanks." I said before quickly pushing my way past her, resisting the urge to swipe her through with my sword.
I walked on for a bit through the road with people staring at me as I walked by. Then I saw someone over the crowd of people. He was giant man with a bushy beard and just as bushy hair. His head rose above all the other people here.
He turned and looked right at me. He frowned and walked over to me. " 'ey, you there! What ya doin' 'ere?"
"Uh, I was traveling with flee...floo powder and I think I shot out of the wrong chimney. Can you maybe, um, show me to Diagon Alley?" I asked him nervously.
"Sure. Ya from Hogwarts?" He asked me as we kept walking.
"Uh, yeah. This is going to be my first year at Hogwarts. I'm Percy by the way. Percy Jackson."
"Me, me name is Hagrid. Bit old fer a fist year, aren't ya?"
"Uh, I'm gonna be in year seven." I explained.
"So ya only got ya letter this year?!" Hagrid asked.
"Yeah."
"Well, that's strange. Ya meant to get it when ya were 11." He explained. "Well, 'ere we are. Diagon Alley."
Stretched out In front of me was another street with shops. But this was more of the type I was expecting.
There witches and wizards walking around everywhere. Old and young alike. Shops were lined on either side of the street.
"Well, I'll leave you 'ere. Need to get on with some business of mine. Ya'll be seeing me at Hogwarts. See ya!" Hagrid said waving at me.
"Bye. Thanks again, Hagrid." I said waving back. Soon enough his enormous head had disappeared into the distance and I walked down Diagon Alley on my own, looking for a bank named Gringotts or something.
I passed a shop with a bunch of kids pressing their noses to the glass window staring at a broomstick that was on display.
Another shop looked like a joke shop. Crowds and crowds of kids were packed inside it. I made a mental note to visit that later.
Then in the distance, I saw a big white building with the word, 'Gringotts' on it. Before I could even get close to it a blur of blonde raced across me and someone squashed me in a massive hug.
"Oh gods, Percy, don't ever scare me like that again!" Annabeth mumbled into my shirt as I hugged her back. Then she pulled away from me, examining me at at an arms distance. "Uh- why are you sooty and covered in golden dust?" She asked me skeptically.
"Long story." I said as I attempted to dust my self off, managing to get most of the soot away.
"Kelp head? Where were you and why did you leave a distressed Annabeth with me?" Thalia asked me as she ran over to us.
"Percy!" I was yet again crushed in a bone cracking hug from my mum.
"Mum, I'm fine!" I said pulling myself free from her grasp.
"Alright, now you explain what happened." My mum said, folding her arms across her chest and trying to look stern.
"Well, I landed in the wrong place. Knock turn Alley or something. I was in an abandoned shop then I heard something behind me it was an empousai. I finished her off. There was someone invisible there so I felt around the floor. I felt something or someone solid but then I heard a crack and it disappeared. Like it wasn't there any more. Then I met this man outside the shop. His name was Hagrid. He was huge. And he showed me the way here and went away somewhere. The End!" I said giving them the short version.
Thalia was frowning, thinking hard and I could basically see the gears turn in Annabeth's head as she tried to figure it out.
"Well, that's suspicious. But we'll worry about it later. Right now, we need to go get some money from Gringotts for all of you." My mum said.
With that we headed towards the big, white marble building.
Please answer the questions below so that I can continue this story. I can't wait to continue until I finish the series.

A/N
That's the end of that chapter people!
How was it? Did I get any facts wrong?
Sorry for not updating in like, a long time! I'm still reading the harry potter books. I just finished the order of the Phoenix. I couldn't get much reading done because of all the exams and stuff that I had.
Here are the questions:
❓Does Harry still have his invisibility cloak after the last book?
❓Can the Golden Trio plus Ginny apparate?
❓Who dies?
❓Anything happen to Hagrid?
❓I heard that Snape died, so is the Potions spot free and available for a new teacher?
❓Is there a free DADA spot?
I'm pretty sure that's it so far. And I'm also pretty sure I gave away a lot of what may happen too. So anyway, plz plz plz comment and tell me the answers. I really need them for the coming chapters. Thanks guys.
Well, bye.
C ya
