(Good Omens)
Info: basically just an unfinished one shot, when Good Omens came out I was immediately obsessed and in love.)
Crowley woke with a start and a cry of Aziraphale's name, sweat beaded his temple which resulted in locks of scarlet sticking to his forehead. He glimpsed to his side to find the spot next to him deserted and cold, a ripple of dread washed over him like a tidal wave and before he knew it he was scrambling off the bed as tears threatened to spill over. "Aziraphale?!" He frantically searched throughout the corridor and inspected the vacant rooms, when he couldn't find any sign of the angel he ran downstairs, scarcely falling over as he skipped a couple of steps. When he arrived at the bottom he scanned the area with wide eyes, his sunglasses were left forgotten upstairs on the nightstand. Crowley didn't bother to switch on the lights, he was made to have night vision, all demons had night vision; so when he also found the small living room empty his heart fell to the bottom of his stomach and finally, he fell to his knees at the bottom of the stairs.
He hunched over himself allowing his tears to fall, his shoulders shook with agony, his voice filled with sorrow and mourn.
His angel was gone.
"Crowley?"
The demon stifled a heartwrenching sob upon hearing the familiar angelic voice calling for him and reluctantly lifted his teary-eyed gaze, when he did so he was face to face with a worried looking Aziraphale.
"A-angel.." the demon stammered and subconsciously reached out to cup his face when his hand came in contact with soft plump skin he nearly broke into a fit of sobs. This was real. Aziraphale was here. He wasn't gone. The angel fell to his knees in front of the crying demon, the sight was utterly heartbreaking, tears didn't go well with his face at all. "Dear, it's alright. Did you fall down the stairs? Are you hurt?" The angel fretted over him and checked him over from head to toe, Crowley merely stared at him with an almost blank expression.
His dream was so vivid, it felt so real. He could still hear his angel's screams...
He shuddered violently and almost immediately wrapped his arms around Aziraphale who just as quickly returned the gesture with a secure hold. "Crowley dear, please tell me what's wrong." The angel begged as he ran his hand through the demon's disheveled hair. "No. I can't- I can't." Crowley whimpered and clung to him as though his life depended on it, the angel hummed knowing that Crowley would talk to him when he was ready. "Hush now dear, you're trembling," Aziraphale whispered to him and hugged him close.
