What are you meant to do when the person that matters the most to you disappears?

@Minimoxx is an incredible writer of over 20 stories here on Wattpad, she has collected many awards for her writing by the community as well as being up for an award in this year's Watty's.

Today we will be focusing on her novel Vanishing Acts - one of her lesser-known novels that deserve its own recognition.

The story opens with Adeline standing in front of her daughter's bedroom. Adeline had a hard time during her high school years, well only one of them when she became pregnant in her last year of high school. She was alone and scared after the baby's father decided not to raise her but Adeline loved her daughter with everything she was.

Unfortunately, life and emotions got in the way of everything. One day her beautiful daughter Quinn didn't come home, sixteen years old she left with just a backpack and no explanation. Adeline's life has been at a pinnacle ever since. Waiting and hoping for her daughter to return.

Now seventeen years old Quinn is ready to make her own decisions in life. She's making money (even if it's not exactly legal) and for the most part, she's having a good time better than the treatment she was getting at home with her mother and stepfather.

Now Adeline's life seems to be falling apart at the seams, and her marriage is drifting further and further away from her. The husband she has loved for so many years seems like a stranger, a roommate in the empty house.

When everyone wants you to give up how can someone continue?

Adeline has spent the past year actively looking for her daughter but she's lost almost all her energy in the fight. Until one day she finds it. The one thing she had hoped for but now leaves a bitter, horrible taste in her mouth.

Her daughter is alive but her fate is worse than death.

It all leads to the question. How well do you know the people around you?

Minimoxx has written an amazing story about life and love. She focuses the story on the parents dealing with life after their daughter runs away. The divide and strain it puts on loved ones. While also showing the daughter's side and the reason she had for running away.

The story focuses on the character's mistakes and flaws giving them this realness that authors often miss out on. Quinn and Adeline are like real people, they make mistakes and issues they need to work on but as the story progresses it's clear the love the two hold for each other is very much real.

This story is never what your expecting, something is always peeking around the next corner ready to shock you in the best way possible.

This book keeps you on your toes and loving every minute of it.
