A Soul Worth Entertaining 4: The Fiance and the Film
Summary: Skipping episode 3, we head towards episode 4. Say hi to Renge everybody!
The Host Club was humming with its usual symphony of chatter, roses, and porcelain clinks when the thunder of a helicopter shattered the calm.
The doors burst open—Renge Houshakuji, complete with parasol and dramatic laugh, descended upon the bewildered boys.
“My darling Kyoya-sama!” she cried, throwing her arms wide. “At last, we are reunited! Fate itself has declared me your fiancée!”
Every head turned to Kyoya.
For a heartbeat, Sebastian’s true self almost slipped through. His red eyes flared faintly behind the glasses, and he murmured lowly, with the faintest smirk—
“…This complicates things.”
But with perfect composure, he adjusted his spectacles and replied, “If you say so, Renge-san.”
The rest of the club erupted in chaos.
“Kyoya, WHAT?!” Tamaki shrieked, flailing like a drowning prince.
The twins grinned. “This is going to be fun.”
Haruhi simply blinked. He’s just… accepting this? she thought, uneasy. Again, Kyoya felt different. Almost like he was humoring something no one else could see.

[The Movie Scheme]
Soon, Renge unveiled her grand plan: the Host Club would become the stars of her self-produced romance action-drama.
The boys groaned. The girls squealed. Renge sparkled with unstoppable energy.
Kyoya, meanwhile, leaned against the wall, amused. “If this brings more attention to the Host Club, why not indulge her?”
Privately, Sebastian relished the spectacle. Watching the others squirm under Renge’s direction was pure entertainment.
Besides, he mused, a demon is entitled to a laugh every now and then.

[The Villains Arrive]
Of course, Renge took things too far, hiring delinquents to play “villains” in her movie. They were not actors—they were actual thugs.
The club prepared to defend themselves. Mori squared up. Honey bristled. The twins whispered tactics. Tamaki posed like a tragic hero.
But Kyoya stepped forward first, his notebook in hand.
“Gentlemen,” he said coldly, his glasses flashing. “Any harm done to Ouran Academy’s reputation… will not be tolerated.”
The thugs lunged, but a flash of movement knocked the camera to the ground, its film reel shredded beyond repair. No one quite saw how it happened—too fast, too precise.
Sebastian’s handiwork.
“Ah,” Kyoya murmured, dusting off his sleeve. “What a pity. Without footage, this farce cannot continue.”
The others didn’t question it—though Haruhi’s eyes lingered on him again. That speed… it wasn’t normal.

[The Fallout]
Renge, still shaken, found herself shielded by Haruhi, who had instinctively stepped between her and danger.
Renge’s cheeks flamed. “Haruhi-kun… so brave!”
She clasped her hands, swooning. “You’re even cuter than Kyoya-sama! Perhaps you’re the one I’ve been searching for!”
Tamaki froze mid-flourish, eyes bulging. “WHAT?! Haruhi, you can’t—she can’t—WE CAN’T LET THIS—!”
Kyoya closed his notebook and deadpanned, “I thought you wanted her to have female companionship.”
Tamaki flailed dramatically, his voice breaking. “Yes—but not a girlfriend!!”
The twins nearly collapsed laughing. Honey giggled behind a cake. Mori blinked stoically.

[Epilogue]
By the end of the day, Renge, humiliated and disillusioned, fled back into the sky on her helicopter, declaring she had lost interest in Kyoya entirely.
The club heaved a sigh of relief.
And Kyoya—alone in the quiet of the music room later—slid his glasses off, crimson eyes glowing faintly in the dim light.
“…At last,” Sebastian sighed, shoulders relaxing. “One tires of false fiancées. A demon has only so much patience for dramatics—even mine.”
He smirked toward the window, where Haruhi’s faint reflection lingered as she swept up petals.
“…But this girl, Haruhi… she grows more intriguing by the day.”
Episode End.
