Alright, so a huge influence in my life has been a senior in my high school. I go to a private Christian school and so we have a thing where we have to bond with several seniors during the year so they help guide us poor lost Freshmen.
Anyway, this girl directed me to a verse. Ezekiel 36:26. Something's been weighing down on my heart lately and this shed some light.
It says, "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh."
Sometimes it's hard to feel, and you want your heart to be as calloused as your hands so you can't feel anything. So you're protected, but feeling is what makes us alive. Feeling is good, even if it feels bad. I hope this helped you and if you need someone to talk more about this, just PM.
