Lucy walked into the guild hall and up sat down next to her friends Gray and Lauren.

"Hey guys." Lucy said happily.

They all just looked at her and blinked a few times before Gray said, "Are you wearing Natsu's scarf?!"

"Hm, yeah. He broke into my house again apparently and I found it on my bed when I woke up, but Natsu wasn't there. I was looking for him for a while but I can't see to find him and he isn't here."

"..b-but why are you wearing it?" Lauren said.

"Why are you wearing Gray's shirt?" Lucy said. "And I didn't feel like holding it any longer."

Both Lauren and Gray's face turned red, "Look, it doesn't matter why I am wearing his shirt. Not like he ever wears it anyway!" Lauren said.

"Last I heard Natsu, Erza, and Happy went out on a job. It was a decade job I think. Ask Master, he should know more about it."

When Lucy asked Master he had that it was a special job that only the two of them could do, and it should take a minimum of ten years.

Twenty years to the day since Erza and Natsu left. Lucy still wears his scarf but now lies to people she is meeting for the first were it came from and why it is special. Lucy also has a boyfriend named Sting that joined the guild seven years after they left, they started dating three and a half years ago. Gray and Lauren are married with a ten year old son named Ciel.

"Lucy! There you are I've been looking all over for you!" Sting said. "Hey Ciel. How you doing kid."

"CIEL PHANTOM FULLBUSTER!" Lauren said. "WHAT DID I TELL YOU ABOUT RUNNING OFF LIKE THAT!"

"Sorry Mom. Hi Uncle Sting! I'm doing good." Ciel said. "Hey why is the guild so gloomy?"

"Today is the day Uncle Natsu and Aunt Erza left. They were suppose to back ten years ago." Gray said.

"Oddly enough you remind me a lot of him." Lucy said.

"Well, Natsu is my brother." Lauren said.

"What was Uncle Natsu like?"

"Well.. he got really bad motion sickness, he was a fire dragon slayer, he and your dad fought a lot but were still best of friends, he cared about everyone, he was very destructive, he'd destroy a whole city doing a job." Lucy started to cry talking about him, and held his scarf tight. She never takes it off. Only to shower.

"Hey Lucy. It's alright." Sting said hugging her. "Natsu also hated seeing his friends cry. He would be very unhappy right now. Looking down on you seeing you cry."

"You are all talking like his is dead!" Gray said with a lot of anger in his voice. "He is still alive! Its Natsu we are talking about! He wouldn't go down so easily."

"OH Dad! I know! Let's go look for him! And Aunt Erza!" Ciel said.

"We have sent people look for him. No one could find them."

"Sweetie, why don't you go out back and practice your ice make magic. Dad and I will be out in a minute." Lauren said.

"Alright Mom! Tomorrow can we go out to the mountains to practice? Please!"

"Sure Ciel. Now go." Gray said smiling at his son.

Ciel ran out back, and Lauren sat down next to Lucy and Sting rubbing Lucy's back saying, "I wish we could be so optimistic like Ciel."

"He isn't dead.. He can't be.." Lucy said crying into Stings shoulder.

"Why don't you and Sting go on a job. Get your mind of things for now." Gray said. "We can't let this keep us back. IF IF he is gone and is watching us, he would want us to be strong and move on."

"Yeah. Alright. Come on honey let's go pick a job. We do have to pay the rent anyway." Lucy said to Sting.

Lucy and Sting went on a job, Lauren, Gray and Ciel went up into the mountains earlier than they thought so they could spend a few days and really have Ciel practice his ice make magic. Although Lauren is an ice dragon slayer, she can still help out.

~~~A week later, everyone is just now returning to the guild hall~~~

"Mom, Dad, who are they. I haven't seen them in the guild hall before." Ciel said. "And why is there another flying cat..."

"There smell, its almost smells Happy, Erza, and Natsu, but its off." Lauren said.

"Can I go day hi?" Ciel said.

"Be careful." Gray said.

"You know they even look them." Gray said.

"You don't think they are back!" Lucy said.

"Don't get your hopes on honey. They have been gone ten years longer than they should have been." Sting said. "I just don't want to see you get hurt. I could tell that Natsu was someone special to you."

"Yeah you are right. Come on lets go sit."

"Hi Mister and Mistress. Are you two going to join the guild."

"Hi kid. We are already members of the guild. What's you name?" The man said rubbing his head.

"Hey, my hair." Ciel said laughing. "I'm Ciel, Ciel Fullbuster."

"Fullbuster huh." The lady said. "Never thought Gray would have a child. Do you think he finally admitted his feelings for Juvia?" She said to the man.

"No, Aunt Juvia isn't my mom. Aunt Juvia is happily married to Uncle Lyon."

"What's you mom name?" The man said.

"Lauren." Ciel said. "Oh, what are your names?"

"I'm Natsu and this is Erza." Natsu said.

"Uncle Natsu? Aunt Erza? Mom and Dad said you two haven't been seen in twenty years and probably dead..." Ciel said backing up a little.

"Why don't you take us to your Mom and Dad then." Erza said.

"Alright." Ciel said happily and ran over to his parents. Jumping on both of them laughing.

Everyone at the table laughed at the young kids actions. "Let's have kids one day Sting." Lucy said leaning on him.

"Alright, sounds like a good idea." Sting said then kissed the top of her head.

"Guys, they say that they are Uncle Natsu and Aunt Erza." Ciel said.

"Lucy? Who is he?" Natsu said heart broken. Lucy just looked at Natsu like she is looking at a ghost.

"I'm Sting. Lucy's boyfriend."

"Well, its nice to meet you Sting. I'm Erza and this is Natsu, and the talking flying cat is Happy."

"Aye!" Happy said.

"I knew you'd come back flame brain." Gray said.

"What did you call me, ice princess?!" Natsu said.

"Watch it flame breath!"

"Pervy Popsicle!"

"KNOCK IT OFF! NOT IN FRONT OF CIEL!" Lauren said.

"Its been twenty years.." Erza said laughing.

"I guess somethings never change." Lauren said. "Its good to have you back Erza. Hasn't been the same with out you too."

"Its good to back."

"N-Natsu..." Lucy finally said. "I-its really you."

"I knew my scarf would look good on you."

"Yeah. Here." Lucy said getting up and taking of the scarf to hand it to Natsu.

"Keep it. It looks good on you."

"No, I can't. Igneel gave it to you. It's yours. Come one Sting. Let's go."

Sting placed his hand in Lucy's and together they walked out of the guild to there apartment.

"You know she really liked you.. it was heart breaking for her when you didn't come back." Gray said. "That's the first time I have seen her ever take off your scarf.

"What's wrong with Aunt Lucy, Mom?"

"It's nothing sweet heart."

"How about we go out back and practice your ice make magic. Erza would you like to join us?" Gray said.

"I'd love to."

Gray, Ciel, and Erza went out back leaving the brother and sister alone to talk.

"I love her.. that is why I gave her the scarf instead of you." Natsu said.

"Got to tell her that."

"How? I don't want to see her cry. I hate it when she cries."

"I don't know Natsu." Lauren took the scarf out of his hands and placed around his neck how he use to wear it. "I really don't know. Come out back with us if you want."

Natsu was unsure of what to do. He and Happy did a few jobs over the next few days. Making sure none of them would make him stay over night. Lucy avoided him, which hurt him. Although what was odd and what made Lucy realize she was hurting him by ignoring him, is when he didn't go to attack Gildarts when came back. Gildarts even went up to him and Natsu just didn't want to fight him.

"What's wrong with you kid?" Gildarts said to Natsu.

Natsu didn't answer, he just looked away.

"I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS!" Sting said, then dragged Natsu outside and starting attacking him.

"I'd stop if I were you Sting.." Natsu said not being affected by his attacks. Sting didn't stop. "Fire dragon IRON FIST!"

The two kept fighting with Natsu clearly winning.

"Stop.." Lucy said crying. When Natsu saw Lucy crying, he immediately stopped taking all the hits. "STING! STOP YOU ARE HURTING HIM!" Lucy ran to Natsu's side. "Natsu.."

"Why are you crying? I'm fine. That didn't hurt." Natsu said putting his hand on her check wiping away her tears.

"We thought you were gone for good. I was worried sick about you Natsu. How can you just leave like that?"

"I didn't want to, but Gramps needed us to go on the job. I still don't know how the extra ten years pasted."

"Don't leave me again."

"I'm not going anywhere with out you Lucy." Natsu said holding Lucy in her arms. "I love you."

"I love you too." Lucy said.

(A/N): Alright this isn't as good as I wanted it to be.. SO I AM GOING TO MAKE A VERSION TWO ONE SHOT OF THIS THAT WILL A HOLE LOT SHORTER BUT HOPEFULLY BETTER :D
