Fairy Tail Academy. It's not the place you want to go to school, but it is one of the best school in the country. Why don't you want to go there? Every student there has their fair share of problems, and it's usually family problems since they are so young. Sting Eucliffe, Rogue Cheney, Natsu Dragneel, Gajeel Redfox, & Wendy Marvell, said that they were raised by dragons and that parent of opposite gender to their dragons just didn't excite, they were deemed the Dragon Slayers. In reality, they were all found in a facility where they were drugged with the same drug. Lauren Crystal, and Megan Luna, are considered to be the "Lucky Ones" that get to live with their parents instead of at the dorms - there are others as well, but the two girls are the most known. Megan doesn't consider herself to live with her parents since they are always away, and Lauren wishes her parents would be away more often. Laxus Dreyar is considered to be part of the Dragon Slayers, although he isn't really. His grandfather is the principle of the school, he doesn't remember his mother, and his father is jail, so he lives with his grandfather. Then there is Emma Boisjolie. Emma got to skip a year making her in the same grade as "Lucky Ones" and the Dragon Slayers. Emma's parents - like several other parents of the kids in Fairy Tail - abused her. Her parents heard how smart she is and how Emma wants become doctor for children. Knowing this would make a lot of money, they say they went to therapy to get better, but Emma refuses to see them. Lauren and Megan always look out for Emma. It's rare to see the three apart, unless Megan and Lauren have dates with their boyfriends.

"Do you guys want to come over?" Emma said. School just finished, and Emma knows that neither girl want to go to the place they call "home."

"Laxus is taking me out... I need somethings from.. Places.." Lauren said. Lauren has been wearing Laxus' shirts for a majority for the last two weeks. Laxus and Lauren have been dating since the end of sophomore year and they are all seniors now. At first people thought it was because Lauren and Laxus had participated in promiscuous activities the night before, but after a few days they realized that something happened and Lauren is living with Laxus.

"Oh well what about you Meg?"

"Natsu wants to look around town for apartments for the three of us, that includes you Emma, you can come if you want. Natsu, he doesn't want me to live in that house anymore, and I can't go on knowing that you might have to go back to your parents. Natsu agreed to let you live with us after graduation."

"Meg and I talked about this a lot since it's getting closer to graduation even though the school year seemed to have just started. Neither of us want you to go back there, that's what we've heard happens to most of the kids that don't dorm at a college or find an apartment. If they have parents, they need to go back.. Originally it was going to be the three of us but since...... I'm living with Laxus right now and who knows how long..... The three of us can't..."

"That's when Natsu said he wanted to move in with me and welcomed you with open arms."

"Oh, no, you and Natsu to find a nice apartment for us." Emma said with a sad smile that pulled at both the girls heart strings.

"Emma, don't give us that look." Lauren said. "You know we hate it."

"How about we hang out after we are finished with what we need to do?"

"If Laxus let's me out of his sight..." Lauren mumbled.

"I'm surprised he isn't here right now." Emma said.

"He means well, but, tomorrow, you can bet we are coming over."

"Definitely, can stay over tomorrow since it's Friday? Have a girls night in?" Megan said.

"Totally!"

"There you are Lauren. I was looking all over for you." Laxus said putting an arm around Lauren and kissing her cheek.

"You found me babe. Looks like I got to go. Love you guys, have a good night."

"You too Lauren." The two girl said and watched as Lauren walked away with her boyfriend.

"I want me to walk to our dorm before I go find Natsu?"

"No it's fine. Really, go."

"Text Lauren and I when you get back there, please."

"You make it sound I am so much younger, I'm only a year younger."

"We know, but you know we care too much."

"Yeah, I'll text you."

Emma and Meg parted ways, Emma to go to her dorm, and Meg to find her boyfriend. On the way to her dorm, Emma ran into two other good friends of hers, two members of the Dragon Slayers. Sting and Rogue. They sometimes tease Emma, but they mean well, they know that Lauren and Megan would be on there asses if they hurt Emma, and that would mean Laxus and Natsu would also be on them.

"Hey Em." Sting said happily.

"How are you Emma?" Rogue said.

"I'm alright, you guys?"

"We are good."

They are like twins, but DNA tests that were done on all of the Dragon Slayers - except Laxus since he didn't need one - showed that they are all unrelated.

"Rogue and I are going out back to the park, come with us." Sting said.

"Alright." Emma smiled. "Let's go."

Emma spent most of the evening with the two boys as well as dinner. She enjoyed there company and Rogue kept teasing the two about being a cute couple. Although the two do have feelings for each other, they refuse to admit it.. In front of Rogue, Sting asked Emma out to a movie date to which she said yes.

"Ready for movie night Em?" Lauren said happily, her boyfriend behind her annoyed that she won't be home until the next day.

"Lauren and I got the snacks, we just gotta pick out the movies." Megan said just as happily as Lauren.

"Actually, I have a date. We can do this next week though."

"Emma has a date.." Megan said.

"Our little sister has a date.." Lauren said.

"I'm only a year younger!"

"You better text us when you get to where you are going, all of the places, and when you get back to your dorm." Lauren said getting to protective.

"Or at least when you get back to your dorm so we know you are safe." Megan said realizing that Lauren went over bored again.

"Alright, fine."

"Who is the lucky one?" Lauren smirked.

"Oh, It's uh, it's Sting."

"A Dragon Slayer, nice." Lauren said.

"You make is sound like being a Dragon Slayer is a good thing..." Laxus said annoyed.

"Well no, but they are the most popular in school, there are fan clubs for all of them, that includes you Laxus, since for reasons no one will ever understand you're considered to be one." Megan said. "OH! Why are standing here talking?! We can't keep Emma here! She will be late for her date!"

"Oh shit Meg you're right."

"Actually, here comes Sting now, he said he would met me here."

The two girls - and Laxus - turned around to see Sting walking towards them with out Rogue - he and Rogue are usually never apart.

"Hey Meg, Lauren, Laxus. Ready to go Emma?"

The girls can see the way he looks at Emma and his never faltering bright smile, and they knew that the would be the one to keep Emma safe for a long time. The way he looks at Emma, and the way Emma looks at him reminds the "Lucky Ones" of how their boyfriends look at them and how they look at their boyfriends.

"Have fun you two." Lauren winked reassured her little sister would be save.

"Not to much fun though." Megan smirked finishing Lauren's thought.

"GUYS!" Emma yelled.

The two girls laughed as the three walked away to find Natsu leaving behind an annoyed Emma and a blushing Sting.

The following week, Lauren and Megan did end up sleeping over Emma's dorm for a movie night, unfortunately at midnight everyone has to be quite to respect those who are trying to sleep, so the three girls decided it was best to sleep. Emma sleeping her bed, Meg sleeping the opposite way as Emma in her bed, and Lauren on the couch.

It was 3am when Emma woke up from a nightmare. She knew she wasn't going to get much sleep for a while, so she was going to get up and sit on the floor on her laptop with the glow facing away from Lauren and Meg, but she saw a glow coming from the couch and realized that Lauren was awake.

"Hey, nightmares?" Lauren whispered as Emma sat next to her.

"Yeah, why are you up?"

"Nightmares."

"Hey, come here. I want to tell you something." Lauren motioned for Emma to come sit under her arm as she pulled the blanket under the two to keep the warm in the cold mid December air.

"Alright what's up?"

"Sting."

"What about him?"

"One day, I can just tell, you two will get comfortable enough for him to be sleeping on this couch. Even you have a nightmare, if you are ready, tell him, let him keep you safe. Let him in. I know it isn't easy, just me, you know how long it took of me to let Laxus in. Go at our pace, it doesn't matter how slow or fast you get to that point, even if isn't this couch it happens on, but the couch that will be in the apartment you Meg and Natsu will be sharing. Let him protect you, and he will let you protect him. Even if it happens the other way around first. Don't tell anyone I told you this, but Laxus let me in but I let him in, it hurts his pride sometimes."

"Why are telling me this instead of just asking what the nightmare was about and making me tell you?"

"Because forcing you tell me if you aren't ready to tell me, well that won't get anyone anywhere anytime fast. It may end up doing more harm than good. Even if you did tell me, I also wouldn't know how to help you since I am still running from my own nightmares. I could very easily be wrong, but I've tried to look at The Dragon Slayers from different angles - I don't count Laxus as a Dragon Slayer in this - have you ever noticed that for the most part, they are the only ones that don't seem to put on fake smiles? Like no matter what you think of one of them, their smiles seem to brighten up the rooms?"

"Well, when you put it like that yeah, I guess so, for those that do smile, there smile does seem to brighten rooms."

"They've beaten the nightmares."

"Alright, well if we are looking at them from different angles, every think they don't have nightmares because they were drugged the entire time they were there."

"That's true, I never thought about that, but then why would they be here in Fairy Tail? Fairy Tail as you know it the best school that no one wants to go to. To the disbelief of many, the way you get into this school is by the government saying you have to go here because of the nightmares. That's why no one goes anywhere during summer break and it's a summer camp. When the kids that dorm here aren't outside playing because you guys are told too, you are at counseling for the nightmares, correct?"

"Yeah?"

"I know you have noticed that some people seem to have disappeared from this school, like Erza Scarlet and Jellal Fernandez. They beat the nightmares. They confronted there pasted and beat it. They got to leave the Fairy Tail school system before graduation and since they weren't eighteen yet they were more than likely placed in foster house. I'm not sure, but that's not the point, the point was that The Dragon Slayers more than likely have nightmares too, and/or backlashes of the drug."

"Or, they are still here because they thoroughly believe that dragon are real, and that the dragon that raised them will come back one day."

"That could be a reason too, we might never know."

"You said Erza and Jellal got out because they confronted their pasted? So if I confronted my parents I would get to go back to my old school?"

"Well, theoretically, yes, but, you might just be placed with your parents or in a foster home. Meg says that Natsu still talks to Erza along with his group of friends, she wants to come back here, so does Jellal they are together."

"Looking from the outside in, we seem to be a bunch of troubled kids with problems no one wants to deal with, but from the inside looking out, we are the top ranked school with some of the best teachers, who is just like everyone else, we just have motivation to try harder."

"Exactly, Gramps, oops, I mean Principal Dreyer, he told me, "My children return to the school at teachers, nurses and social workers. Their children, never come here, rarely there grandchildren come here, it's only after my children pass, while my successor as principal and headmaster will see possible family connections to my children." He calls all us students his children because he cares for all of us and hope to see us get better and come see him grown with the nightmares no longer haunting us. The school breeds the best adults because we've been through things that some adults haven't."

"Wow..."

"Look, I know this known of that does anything for you and it's just random information I gathered and some of it could be completely wrong since some of it is just me thinking too much, but I hope that help just a little for you to get some sleep."

"I guess it did, you should get some sleep too." Emma whispered getting up.

"I'll try."

"I'll take your phone away." Emma smirked.

"Yeah?"

"I know you are talking to Laxus, he should sleep too."

"Alright, fine fine, but I need my phone, I'm going to fall asleep to music."

"Night Lauren."

"Night Emma."

Later that month, the school is having its usual holiday party. They do several things over the course of the holidays, one being a dance. The "Lucky Ones" are going with there boyfriends, but that didn't stop other people form asking them to the dance -or at least trying to ask them - this is one of the many reasons that Laxus and Natsu refuse to leave their sides - only for class. In the past since they got together with their boyfriends, Emma had always felt awkward and didn't like the two boys being around them so much, but this year, she didn't mind as her boyfriend did the same thing others did.

"What color tux should I wear to the dance Em?" Sting said.

"What ever color you want." Laxus said leaning back against the wall in his seat eyes closed, one hand behind his head, the other around Lauren who is leaning on him.

"Dude, you are suppose match your tux to your girlfriends dress."

"I really hope you mean the tie or bow tie then." Emma said. "And, I don't know, Lauren, Meg and I have to go dress shopping."

"That's funny, you think I'm going to go dress shopping, or even go to the dance."

"I thought you went every year.." Emma said.

"Meg does, I sat listening to my parents argue or say with Laxus watching a movie."

"That's what you were doing watching a movie." Megan said. Emma and Sting laughed

"Watch it Meg, you know better." Lauren said.

"It would be the perfect night since Principle Dreyar wouldn't be there."

"You think he would leave us there alone? He has one of his old friends watch us that night knowing he would be home late." Laxus said.

"That sucks."

"Well, this year you don't need to worry about that because you two are going."

"A dress with what money? What do you want me to go up to my parents and ask for six hundred bucks for a dress? My parents maybe very rich, but they don't give a shit, they only way I'd get money or the dress I'd want is move back in with them."

"You parents are rich?" Megan said surprised with this new information.

"Swimming in it. Another reason why I go to school here, and why I don't go to the dance, they'd get me this over the top dress."

"My parents wish they were that rich." Emma said. "How would we get the money for a dress..."

"The school gets dresses that the girls can wear for a night, and the same goes for the boys, there is a good chance that your tux won't match Emma's dress." Megan said.

"Well that's stupid. If I can talk to my mother without my father being home, I might be able to get us all dresses and matching tuxedos for the guys."

"No." Laxus said.

"Why not that sounds awesome!" Sting said.

"She isn't going near her parents."

"You aren't the boss of you know babe, if it us just my mother isn't going to kill me. You can be there this time if you must."

"I don't like this idea."

"To bad, this is going to be my first and last dance where I can actually participate, might as well enjoy it."

Laxus still hated the idea, but Lauren was set on doing this, so no one was going to stop her.

"Emma, you look amazing in that dress." Megan said looking at her 'little sister' amazed about how pretty the dress is on her.

"I don't know..." Emma said. The dress is yellow that goes down to her knees, from the bottom up there are sparkles, smaller amounts of sparkles as they crawl up the dress until they stop all together just under her chest.

"You look gorgeous darling." Lauren's mother said.

"You really do look stunning, you are going to be turned heads. Sting won't let you out of his sight you look so good."

"You really think so?"

"Definitely." Megan said.

"Alright." Emma smiled.

Megan ended up getting a plan pink colored dress that ended at her knees and flowed out nicely, and Lauren got a black dress were the zipper is the front instead of the back or side. There were sparkles on it as well down to her knees as well. Her mother didn't approve, but she didn't care, both her friends and her loved the way she looked it.

"You guys are late." Lauren smirked know that they are really on time.

"Oh shut it Lauren, they are on time." Emma said.

"I know, I'm just fucking with them."

"Lauren Emily! Young ladies don't use that kind of language."

Rolling her eyes Lauren said, "Yes Mother.."

Lauren's mother sighed while Emma and Megan looked at each other a giggled. "Let's just get this over with.." Natsu said.

"Don't want to be shopping with the girls?" Megan said smirking.

"No, not at all..."

"It's a good thing we got the dress already, all that's left is your tuxedos and shoe shopping."

"We need to go shoe shopping with you girls..." Sting said. It almost sounded like he was going to be sick.

"Yep." Megan said.

All the guys - and Lauren - groaned annoyed at the thought of having to go shoe shopping.

"Let's get this over with."

As the group walked towards the store were the 'young men', as Lauren's mother called them, to get there tuxedos' that will match the girls dresses, Natsu held Meg's hand, Laxus put his arm around Lauren, Lauren holding the hand that's around her shoulder. Sting noticed the signs of affection of the couples in front of them and decided to go grab Emma's hand, but lost the nerve to at the last second. Emma noticed and grabbed his hand giving him a reassuring smile and peck on the cheek.

"You look good Natsu." Megan said smiling at her boyfriend who is modeling a suit size, Lauren and Lauren's mother looked at him carefully, Emma, Sting and Laxus looking at the two like they are insane.

"It doesn't fit right." Lauren said leaning back against her boyfriend.

"Lauren's right, the sleeves are too long."

"So are the pants.. Unfortunately they wouldn't have his size since it's such a slight misfit." Lauren said. "It's gonna have to be tailored."

"How the hell can you tell?!" Emma said. "It looks like it fits perfectly!"

"I was trained to notice.. Thank you mother for teaching me the world's most useless skill."

"When you go to fancy balls you can't go if your future husband's tuxedo or your own dress doesn't fit absolutely perfectly."

"That's funny, me going to fancy balls. Let's just pay and get out of here so that Mother can take everything to be tailored in time for the dance next week."

"Everything won't be down in a week Lauren. There suits are fine." Emma said

"Only Sting is wearing a suit, what Natsu and Laxus is wearing are tuxedos. Man I hate that I know that. Let's just shoe shopping over with."

The group found shoes for both the Dragon Slayers, "Lucky Ones", and Emma. They girls then left with Lauren's mother, the boys following behind to Lauren's house were Natsu, Sting, and Laxus had met earlier leaving Natsu and Sting's car there so that they only took one care to the mall.

"When will he be back?" Lauren said to her mother.

"Soon more than likely."

"Well, would you look at the time, we all really should be getting back. We all have a big test to study for.. Bye see you in a few days when Laxus and I pick up the dresses and tuxedos."

They others all yelled a thanks as Lauren rushed them out of the house.

They all knew better than to ask what that was all about, so they went to the park before Natsu took Megan to the place where she lives - a place she doesn't call home - and Laxus and Lauren had to go back because dinner was ready. Leaving just Sting and Emma.

"Come on, I'll take you out to dinner, what do you want?"

"Hm, let's just go to the diner."

"Alright, let's go."

Emma loves looking at Sting's smile. She's never seen anyone so brightly, it's almost as if the sky lights up when Emma sees Sting's smile, even in the night sky. Sting loves looking at Emma's smile just as much Emma loves looking at his. When Emma smiles back at him, he can't help but get butterflies in his stomach. Her smile lights up his world.

It was late that night, Emma woke up from another nightmare, she looked over to the couch to see Sting sleeping soundly. She sighed remembering what Lauren told her, but she didn't want to wake him, so she went to the bathroom to wash her face instead.

The opening and closing of the dorm door, although Emma did it quietly, it still woke Sting. When Emma came out of the bathroom, Sting had turned a light and give a sad look to his girlfriend, and motioned for her to sit next to him. Sighing, Emma sat next to him.

"I don't want to know what it was about, I just want to make you smile again, so when you go back to sleep, you'll go to sleep with a smile on your face. I hate seeing you sad or upset. So, let's think about the sun, and the things we can do in the park tomorrow."

"Okay, Sun, let's think about the blinding light." Emma said rolling her eyes playfully, a smirk on her lips.

"How about we look at the clouds?"

"Alright Stingy. We can watch the clouds tomorrow, we can go on a picnic date."

"Yeah! I'll help you get the sandwiches in the morning!"

The couple then made watching the clouds on a picnic date a weekly thing. Sometimes they allowed Rogue and his girlfriend, Lauren and Laxus, and Megan and Natsu to join, but it was rare. It was there thing they did together, and when it rained they would sit in side watching the rain out the window just talking. They are able to talk about anything, everything, and nothing. There wasn't a topic that the two didn't talk about by the end of the school year. They even ended up moving into together instead of Emma moving in with Megan and Natsu.

Emma ended up being very successful after graduating. She went on to become a doctor and is one if the top rated in the country, as for her husband Sting. He became successful as well, he and the other dragon slayers - except Laxus - created a company called Dragon Inc. and it's done very well.

"Em, dear, are you home?" Sting said walking into the house they live in.

"Where else would I be?" Emma said walking up to her husband. "You don't let me leave the house without you or one of our friends."

Sting pecked his wife's lips with his own before saying, "Gotta make sure you have someone with you. Can't have you go into labor and no one is around to help you. As speaking of which isn't Rogue suppose to be here with you?"

"His wife needed him. Said it was very important. He only left ten minutes ago."

"What if something happened?"

"Sting, I'm only pregnant, nothing bad will happen."

"I just don't want anything to happen to the love my life and my unborn child."

"Nothing is going to happen to us Sting."

"I'll able to make sure of it now because I'll be home from now on until a good several months after our baby is born."

The baby was born a week later and is completely healthy. Emma stared at her husband and baby thankful for everything that happened because it lead her to where she is right now, and couldn't change a thing.
