Levi Ackerman and (Y/N) (L/N) have been dating for three years. They live together in the house they share. They are both twenty four. Levi has every intention of marrying her and loves her more than anything in the world, and (Y/N) would love nothing more than to spend the rest of her life with Levi. But human faults to protect the ones you love could ruin everything.

(Y/N) was out with her friends when she caught Levi cheating on her with her best friend Petra Ral. (Y/N) wasn't the type of person to cry and lock herself away though. She decided to put up with it and get her revenge.

"Babe, I'm working late tonight. Don't wait up." (Y/N) said, pecking her lover's lips.

"I hate when you have to work late." Levi said. He truly meant it. (Y/N) is his world.

"So do I. I have Monday and Tuesday off though. Take off and we can spend the two days together doing whatever we want."

"I'll call Erwin now."  

The two shared another kiss before (Y/N) left to go to work.

(Y/N) walked into the house with another man later that day. She knew that Petra would have been there as soon as Levi got home from work.

"LEVI! You home?" (Y/N) yelled out. She smiled when she didn't get a response. "Let's watch some TV for now. I'm tired from a long week at work.

Levi heard the TV turn on and blast his and (Y/N)'s favorite TV show. He was shocked that she would watch it without him, although he had a bigger problem right now. The girl that lays on top of him.

"You need to leave and we need to stop this."

"Oh come on Levi. We can be quiet while she watches TV." Petra said. "You don't want anything bad to happen to her now, do you?"

"Get the fuck off of me. I don't care. I'll do anything to protect her but this! You think you're the only person with connections Petra?! Now get out of my house! She's at home!"

"Fine, we will continue this tomorrow at my place."

"Tch, we will see about that."

Levi fixed his hair and clothing so that they're perfect and went downstairs to distract (Y/N) while Petra would escape through the back door.

Petra smirked and Levi felt like he was just stabbed with a knife when the two saw the sight in front of them. On the couch laid (Y/N) with her shirt tossed lazily on the other couch, leaving her in her favorite (F/C) fancy bra. A man's shirt laid carelessly beside them as well, leaving the man shirtless while the mysterious man and (Y/N) lay comfortably, watching TV.

"What the fuck is this?!" Levi said, grinding his teeth.

"Why the fuck is Perta here?"

That hit Levi like a ton of bricks. She knew. She knew that he was sleeping with Petra, she thinks he's cheating on her and this is her revenge. She doesn't really know why.

He soon seen (Y/N) sigh, he saw her whisper something in the man's ear, then saw the man nod. He saw (Y/N)'s  mouth move as she yelled at Petra to get out of her house and to stay away from her, but he didn't hear what exactly she said. He didn't notice them come close to him, he didn't hear the door close signaling the two people besides him and (Y/N) had left, he didn't hear anything. He did see however, the tears rolling down (Y/N)'s cheeks making him snap slightly back into reality. She hated to cry, and now, she's crying because of him.

"Why?" (Y/N)'s voice came out like a whisper, but he heard it clearly.

"I was... Petra she..."

"Levi?" (Y/N) questioned. She can see in his eyes that he's not completely there. He was still taking in what was going on.

(Y/N) sighed as she gently grabbed Levi's hand and lead him to the couch. He almost didn't want to sit on it, that man had laid down here with his girlfriend. (Y/N) gently placed a hand on his cheek and wiped away the tears on his face that he didn't even realize fell. "Levi, tell me why? Why did you do this to me? Come back to it. Tell me, I need to know why you broke my heart."

"To protect you." Levi said, looking into her watering eyes. "Petra threatened your life, said she'd have you killed if I didn't do what she said. If I would have told anyone, she'd have you killed. I did it because I love you more than anything in this world. I'm sorry. I deserve this. You don't have to love me because of what I did. I deserve this pain."

"That man, he was my best friend from elementary school. We work at the same place but not together. I told him what happened.. He agreed to help me get my revenge. He lives with his fiancé. She agreed to let him do this and said I was allowed to live there until I was on my feet again. Damn it Levi! Can't you see how much I love you?! Why didn't you tell me?! We could have worked this out! We work for the damn government! We could have had people watching us. We could have gotten through this together and that bitch would never have known."

"We still can... (Y/N), don't leave me. Please don't leave. I'll do anything to make you stay. I'll sleep in the guest room, we can take things slow again. Just, don't.. Don't leave me... please, (Y/N) I... I was going to ask you to marry me. I still want to ask you but I'm afraid you won't say yes anymore. I have the ring upstairs. I was planning the perfect way to ask you but now mistakes have been made and you won't say yes." Levi didn't bother to wipe the new tears running down his face. He didn't care anymore. He only cared about the one person in front of him.

(Y/N) was shocked hearing him ramble on. (Y/N) could see the truth in his eyes and in his voice. Levi was not one to ramble on about anything.

"We can work this out. You don't need to sleep alone. We'll work through this together, as husband and wife. I won't leave as long as you stay with me."

"Can I kiss you?"

"Since when did you need to ask if you can kiss me?"

The two shared a kiss filled with love and passion for the other. It had been awhile since they shared a kiss like this. The kiss brought them back to their senses. They still had each other and that's all that mattered now.
