Story description: So. . . Hi! I'm Amorette Vow. I'm twenty years old, I attend my local college, I live in an apartment building twenty minutes away from my family, and work part time at a cafe to help pay off my bills! My goal is to become a Line Cook and get my own little diner or cafe or something, but right now I just work as a server and a student. I pretty much specialize in making breakfast type foods, so my normal cooking skills aren't great. For example, if you want me to make you pea soup, it'll probably become a sort of goopy gloopy thing in a bowl. I don't know though, since I don't really like peas. Or vegetables in general. Except veggie chips, I guess those are ok. Anything with the word "chip" in it usually tastes good. Chocolate chips, potato chips, nacho cheese chips, tortilla chips, peanut butter chips. AHG OFF TOPIC!! Getting back on topic, my boss, the owner of the cafe I work at, is a really cool lady. Her name is Ms. Rosie, and her and I get along just fine! I'd even say we're friends if bosses and employees can be friends. If so, then we're definitely friends! And if not. . . Eh, we're friends anyway! Oh, also I'm a Matchmaker. And Ms. Rosie is kind of my mentor since she's a Matchmaker too. For anyone (which I guess is pretty much everyone) who doesn't know what a Matchmaker is, I'll try to explain! Matchmakers are certain people who have the ability to see other people's hearts. Not the organ, but the generic heart shape. If we saw the actual organ. . . Eww. But we don't so, that's a relief! Anyway, we're not only able to see other people's hearts, but we're also able to see their heart's colors as well. So like if someone's in a group or talking to someone on the phone or next to someone, we can see their hearts. Their heart's colors depends on what that person is feeling towards the people their with. So say, if two strangers were sitting next to each other on a bus, their hearts would be white, which mean they're neutral. Or if a group of friends were hanging out together their hearts would be yellow for friendship. These are normal everyday things and after awhile you just begin to ignore it. But what's harder to ignore is an Orange heart or a Purple heart or a Dark Red heart. Depending on the emotion and on how strong it is, the brighter the glow of the heart and the brighter the heart, the harder it is to ignore. Seriously, if I see a Bright Red heart out in public it's kinda like someone is pointing a flashlight in my face. When a Matchmaker encounters someone with a glowing heart, they have two options. They could either try to help them with their feelings or they could ignore them and let it work out on it's own. Choosing to ignore them is usually what Matchmakers end up doing since it's none of their business. On top of that, even if they do offer to help, there's no guarantee that it'll work or that they'd get rewarded for helping. Occasionally however, some Matchmakers do dedicate part of their lives to helping others with their feelings. I happen to be one of them. With Ms. Rosie as my teacher, I'm going to try to help people with their emotions and make them couples! Although so far, I've already messed up an ton, made people think I was a weirdo, has been called a stalker on several occasions, and I've also never been in a relationship before. But I'm still going to try my best anyway! Hopefully I won't end up in a jail cell. . . Nah. That won't happen. Probably.
