'I really hope he doesn't push me away and we can talk about this... ' I tell myself mentally before being torn away from my thoughts "We're here. What time do you want me to pick you up?" My mom asks "Oh um.. Somewhere between 4:30 and 5:30 if that's okay? " I ask as she nodded "Okay love you! " I kiss her goodbye before getting out the car and knocking on Jackie's door, a friend of mine, who was hosting a party with me to celebrate Armaan's birthday. The week before today him and I were going through a rough patch, but on Friday, since I was barely there for school, our friend Jayna stopped me and said "Armaan says he misses you and loves you. " That gave me hope I could talk to him. "Hey Nat! You're here early? " Jackie says "Yeah, well I like to be early. Plus it's only a few minutes before noon. " I say before hearing two familiar voices "Hey Nat!" I peek over Jackie's shoulder to see Nick and Kenneth on the couch "Hey guys!" I check the time "Let's wait outside for the birthday boy. " They nod as we all headed to the park across the street

Around noon a familiar bike pulled up "Armaan! " Jackie says as she gets up. I start to feel my heart beat out of my chest as I sat at the table. I let everyone say their hello's to him before I get up and approach him "H-Hey Armaan.. Um.. Do you mind if we talk in private? " I ask as Kenneth and Jackie held Nick back from asking any questions. Armaan and I went behind the playground "I um.. I wrote you something cause if I said any of it I would forget so.. H-here.. " I handed Armaan a note as I look down and play with the hem of my shirt. A few minutes of silence went by before I heard him move the paper down. I wanted to look up, but couldn't before I felt a pair of hands on my waist. Looking up in confusion I feel a pair of soft lips smash against mine. My eyes widen in shock before wrapping my arms around his neck, shutting my eyes tightly as I kissed back. We soon pull back for air as his hand cups my cheek "I want you to stay as my girlfriend. " He said, looking into my eyes with his soft ones. I smile, feeling tears that threaten to spill from my eyes "I'd like that. " I say before we share a passionate kiss once again.

Once we were done with our moment we walked back to the ground, hand in hand. They look at us and smile "I'm glad you two work things out. " Kenneth said "MY OTP IS BACK!!! " Jackie exclaims, causing Armaan and I to laugh. I glance up at Armaan,  smiling softly to myself before he looks at me "I love you. " He says. I lean my head on his shoulder and squeeze his hand tightly "I love you too."
