chapter ninety-six

"yuta." mark spoke to him, using the calmest voice he had used with yuta since all of this happened. swallowing, yuta waited for what he was going to say next. mark could feel his palms sweating; was he really going to say this? he knew yuta was strong, and he'd probably be dead before he could tell anyone else.

"yes, mark?" he replied in, again, the calmest voice he could muster whilst clenching his jaw, because he really fucking hated mark. he never understood why people liked him. it baffled him, really.

"may i ask you something?"

yuta hesitated. should he really go ahead and give him the 'okay'? it could be anything, for goodness sake. about him, about doyoung, about sicheng. "go ahead."

"why did you cheat on him in the first place?"

yuta grinned. he had many reasons, but did mark never hear him talk about it? "well. i didn't really love him anymore, but at that point, i felt bad for him, so i didn't tell him. then, i met taeyong. we started doing it, right. then, i forgot about sicheng and how he felt, i didn't really care for him. at all. period. so, me and taeyong are together, yeah yeah, and he's alone and i suppose he came to you. after a while, taeyong stops it and i get with doyoung and i couldn't be happier."

mark is astounded. "you fucking piece of shit!" yuta's face drops, his jaw hung low - as if he were surprised. "don't fucking give me that look! you disgust me. i swear to god. please, never speak to me again. i don't want anything to do with you. fucking bastard." he punched his stomach in one swift motion before moving towards the door, tears in his eyes. "and i'll never forgive you for what you did to sicheng."

yuta stood up at the front, shaking. everyone's eyes were locked on his, apart from mark. mark was glaring rather than simply looking at him. if looks could kill, he'd be 5ft under the ground. he coughed, nearly laughing. he composed himself before saying. "i can't believe he's gone."

"oh, stop lying, you fat cow."

"mark, please." haechan stopped him.

"i loved him so much."

"this is sicheng we're talking about, not doyoung."

he froze.

"now, who's being rude?"

"you, you twat!"

"yuta, carry on." haechan yelled.

"he's an angel. i don't know where he is."

"yes you do, you fat bastard."

"mARK!"

"i do miss him so much. i wish for him to return quickly."

"who are you lying to? oh, yeah, everyone. including sicheng. move out of the way, you unintelligent fucker."

"mark, that's enough." haechan said, softly.

mark walked up to the front, sighing as he closed his eyes. "sicheng was a dear friend of mine, and i can't believe he's gone. i love sicheng more than anything." haechan narrowed his eyes. "save for haechan, maybe. possibly. anyway, what i'm saying is, sicheng deserved the world, not this. i pray to god that he's okay, even though we all know he isn't."

yuta blinked. once. twice. he looked over at mark, noticing that he had spaced out. he walked over, unconsciously, and placed a hand on his shoulder from behind. mark turned around with such speed, yuta winced; afraid he'd snap his neck -- but he wouldn't care. if anything, it'd be a blessing for him to break his neck.

"get off of me, you cow." mark pushed yuta's hand away feistily. yuta snorted under his breath before going to sit down.
