A/N: I kinda want to make this page to take in some consideration for Godzilla vs Kong and it's victor.

One one side, There are People who are saying Godzilla will Effortlessly beat Kong because of Size and Atomic Breath. But they need to understand that this version of Kong is pretty smart, fast on his feet and will likely use his brain in the fight to gain himself a win.

And to People who are saying Kong will Effortlessly beat Godzilla because all of the film is said to be an "underdog" one still need to keep in mind of the durability, strength, power output and some times speed of this Godzilla. And while not as smart as Kong, Monsterverse Godzilla is not a mere simply minded beast with zero intelligence. And he has has millions of years of combat experience to help him out in the battle to try and gain victory.

And before people bring up the original King Kong vs Godzilla movie and try using that as 100 percent proof that Kong will win. We kinda need to take into consideration that in that same film, Godzilla literally made Kong retreat in their first battle.

And even in their second encounter, Kong still struggled a bit against Godzilla. It wasn't until later in that round he had a much bigger edge against Godzilla after he received a lighting power up.

Another thing that needs to be considered is the fact that this was Godzilla much early in the Showa Era. Had Kong gone up against a later Showa Era Godzilla, he'd probably have more trouble considering how much stronger, faster, and more durable he was in those films. I mean, he was turned into a fucking bloodied mess from Mechagodzilla and Gigan and those were far worse than what Kong was able to do. He's also seemed to have gotten more powerful from lightning as well, as seen in Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla.

That, and Godzilla's atomic breath became MUCH more powerful throughout the Showa Era.

I doubt Kong's fur would be the only thing burned or damaged by it if he faced a late Showa Godzilla. 

And for an out of universe reason why Godzilla lost in the first place, Godzilla was still in the antagonistic part of his carrier and Kong was being promoted as the protagonist of the film, of course he was going to win. 

This time however, is different. Godzilla and Kong in the Monsterverse are a bit different from their Showa incarnations when it comes to their personalities.

Now, Monsterverse Kong obviously has a lot more connections to humanity with a larger range of emotions. But, while Monsterverse Godzilla isn't exactly on our side, he has not direct hostility towards humanity. The only reason he'd have to attack would be if we did something that was stepping too far and he has to step in and restore balance.

Yes, the film is described as sort of an "underdog" one. But that shouldn't just mean a 100% no denying win for Kong. I mean, Rocky was called the Underdog, and there have still been cases where he's still lost. I'd say this just means that the fight will be a difficult struggle for both of the two.

Difficult for Kong because he'll be facing an opponent new to him with large bulky size, immense strength and a destructive blast who he's likely a greater challenge for him than probably even the giant Skull Crawler. And Difficult for Godzilla because he'll be facing against an enemy who's a lot more faster on his feet, is more intelligent and can even use some parts of his environment as weapons.

I'm not really part of any of the Team Godzilla Team Kong thing because not trying to let personal bias to rule the other out. I really say this fight could go either way for one of the two depending on how things go. And whenever trailers and stuff eventually come we'll possibly start getting clues on it.
