My Words on Humans in Godzilla Films

A/N: I kinda think some people seem to forget why human moments are in Godzilla films.

Humans scenes can be just as important as they are either there to explain the kaiju, where they're from, how they work and why they're there.

Not to mention that the kaiju themselves usually are the result of Humanities arrogance and showing them just how insignificant they are to them. And the levels of fear with humans being shown to see the destruction being made from the kaiju through them.

We have to remember that while these creatures are the result of Humanity's arrogance, that doesn't mean that we shouldn't feel for some of them. Especially defenseless innocents who are caught within the destruction.

And then there's even stuff where the humans need to come up with strategies and weapons to combat said monsters in order to try and defeat them.

Another thing is that Humans drive the narrative of Godzilla movies. If we had godzilla movies that focused ONLY on the kaiju and godzilla was fighting a new one and there was no explanation given to what was going on, the film itself would only be getting asked multiple questions on what just happened, what is this new creature, where did it come from, what's it's name, why is it fighting godzilla?

I have no problem with Human scenes in Godzilla movies as long as things can at least be well balanced with the amount of kaiju scenes or the human characters can be likable and play big roles in their respected stories. Like Miki Saegusa or Dr. Serizawa. They were both important and likable characters in their respected stories.

Godzilla maybe the star of the films. But, just because his name is in the title, doesn't mean that the human characters for monster fights. (Which is NOT what godzilla is truly about).
