The Ponds: Remember

"I waited two thousand years for you, Amy! I protected you every single day because I love you damn it," Rory shouted through tears at Amy.

Amy shook her head, hugging the doctor from behind in pure terror trying to hide her face. She answered, "That's impossible. I don't know who you are and I can tell you as a matter of fact I am not two thousand years old!"

The Doctor commented, "Looking pretty good for your age, ey?"

She giggled, but Rory gave him a death glare. He massaged his temples deeply, pondering on what to say or do. He whispered, "I just wish you would remember me."

She shook her head, "I'm sorry I don't. Am I supposed to?"

He sighed, "We are engaged to be married-or at least we were..."

She defended, "That isn't true. I've never seen you before in my life. Not to mention I found The Doctor's ring. He's going to propose to me."

The Doctor's eyes widened in shock as she grabbed his coat collars and he felt a weight on his lips. His arms flailed, not knowing what to do as she deepened into their kiss. He lightly pushed her off of him in time for Rory to punch his left cheek as hard as he could. The Doctor immediately spun around, falling to the ground. Amy kneeled beside him, her thumb grazing over the blood and forming bruise. She asked in a whisper, "Doctor?"

No response.

Rory rolled his eyes and spoke, "Oh come on! He's not dead!"

She glared at him, "He's unconscious because of you. Why can't you just leave me alone and realize I don't know who the hell you are! We are not engaged and I clearly do not love you!"

That hit Rory harder than anything before. His heart dropped and spirit was shattered. The love of his life didn't even remember who he was. Then, he noticed the red velvet box sitting on a chair. He quickly snatched it and pulled out the ring. He yelled, "This is the ring I proposed to you with! Read inside the band!"

He put the ring back into its slot and tossed her the box. She caught it, staring at him confused. She looked down and said, "That's impossible. This is from The Doctor."

Rory yelled, "Just read the damn thing!"

She pulled out the ring and examined what it said on the inner band, "Yours Forever With Love, Rory."

She read it over and over, slowly remembering the exact moment he gave it to her.

They were at the same park they went to as kids together. They sat on the swings as rain lightly fell upon their smiles and laughter. Rory pushed her on the swing while making small talk before the question came.

*I'm going to make the next one-shot of the whole proposal scene. Not sure if anyone wants it, but I want to write it all out anyways.*

Her head shot up. She spoke, "Oh Rory."

She dropped the ring while running into his arms, nearly knocking him over in the process. All of the memories they spent together her entire life came flooding back all at once. She looked up at him with tears welling. She apologized, "I am so so so very sorry. How could I forget you, my Rory?"

He kissed her lips and held her waist. Her arms reached up and wrapped around his neck. Then, he abruptly pulled away. The Doctor slowly began waking up and Amy ran to his aid. Rory stood there, realizing she was going to have to choose. He loved her, but he could tell a part of her loved The Doctor too.

Rory stated, "You have to choose."

She looked up at him and replied, "You can't make me choose."

"I am, Amy. You have to choose. It's me or The Doctor."

She closed hers, preventing tears. She whispered, "I can't choose...."

Rory took a step forward, "I didn't hear you. Who?"

She yelled, "I will not choose! I love you, Rory, but I love him too..."

Rory reminded, "I waited thousands of years for you and you waited about two decades for him. You can't seriously pick him."

"Rory...The Doctor's been apart of my life for so long now and he's never let me down. Even when I thought he had when I was a kid and he left me. He came back, he saved me."

"I'm tired of waiting for you, when I know it will always be him in the end," Rory couldn't bare to look at her. He told The Doctor, "Take me home."

She stood up and walked towards him. She hugged Rory gently and nuzzled her face against his neck, but he didn't hug back.

The Doctor commented, "Amy, it's not me, it will never be me. I fell in love once and she was taken away from me. I refuse to take you away from Rory when he loves you more than I have ever seen a human love another human before. He was the centurion who waited. I'm just the mad man with a box who can never be in the right place at the right time. It's always been him and it always will be him. You know that, Amelia Pond. You aren't a fool."

She looked up at Rory and whispered, "He's right. It's always been you, our entire life ever since we were kids. Rory, I love you and only you. I guess I can be so forgetful at times."

Rory smiled and joked, "I think that was the crack's fault. It made you forget."

She disagreed, "No, I mean before that, even when I remembered I was still blinded by The Doctor and that was wrong of me. I don't understand what I was thinking, but I remember now. I'll always remember you, Rory, because I love you more than anything in the entire universe because you are easily the love of my life."

"And all along I believed I would find you. Time has brought your heart to me. I have loved you for a thousand years. I'll love you for a thousand more."

*About this damn song, sorry it's not in English or even the real version, but after thirty minutes of searching it's the best I got.

Is it just me or who else absolutely loves the way Amy says "Rory" like with her accent I don't know I just love it, but anyways here's this, just putting it out there and next one will be the proposal. Yay fluff.*
