The Authography Charts 2025
This was a contest aimed at small authors and new/underrated books. To qualify to rise in the charts, your book needed to have 500 views or fewer at the time of contest entry.
I entered three books that could really use some love: What Is Told: A Conglomeration of Confabulations (a book of linked fantasy stories), Songs Of Summer, Discovered In Autumn (a short book of poetry, all of it written in 2003 when I was much younger, and dealing with parenting my first baby. The poems went missing until we cleaned our back room this year and discovered a box full of old papers. Hence the title of the book) and One Of Your French Girls (art).
They are all in the streaming category, which counts views. There is also a popularity/voting category, which counts votes, but I was feeling too insecure to enter that one.
UPDATE: WEEK ONE (1/19/25)
This is absolutely fascinating. Also, two of my relatively new releases are doing a lot better than I thought they would.
The most fascinating part for me is seeing who added my books to reading lists. At least, I think that's what "Added" means.
UPDATE: WEEK 2 (1/25/25)
"Added" does not mean added to a reading list. It just means new reads were counted. Oh, well.
Still fascinating.
