I entered Ancilla into the Romance category two weeks ago. I have no idea if it was accepted or not.

UPDATE (4/19/2024) - There appear to have been no updates to this contest since early February.

UPDATE (6/5/2024) - The contest closes on 6/30/2024. I will need to contact the hosts and see if my entry was ever accepted.

UPDATE (7/13/2024) - As with the Nanowatts and practically every other contest that makes use of longlists, shortlists, etc, I did not even make the first official cut. 

(This bodes ill for next year's Romance Reads contest, but I'll still be entering that if I can. Ditto the Amby Awards, if I can).

UPDATE (7/22/2024) - At the last minute, it looks like Ancilla was admitted to compete in the Romance category, and Excavations in the Poetry category. The very last minute. This is a reader's choice contest, so it'll be interesting to see how both those books do.

UPDATE (12/31/2024) - Ancilla was one of three official winners. Out of the three winners, Ancilla got the most votes. (Nine votes, to be exact). It's a good thing I captured a screenshot. The award vote pages have all been deleted. (Just before I could look up exactly who left me a vote, so I could thank them, darn it...)

Excavations got the third most votes in the Poetry category (seven votes tallied) technically making it one of the winners, but one of the third-place winners who tied for third with six votes is someone I call a friend, and I don't want to take his award away.
