Chapter six
I was not able to help but smile as I got out of the car, welcomed by a slight winter breeze. "The movies?" I asked, smirking as I looked at Josh, he taking my paw to lead me to the building. "The first stop of many, I promise you," Josh replied, rubbing his nose against mine before wrapping an arm around me, warming up my body in the process. To my surprise, Josh led me inside without stopping to get tickets, which we were supposed to do before entering. Surprising me yet again, Josh pulled out his phone before showing the attendant the screen, which was held in such a way I could not see the screen, but the attendant did scan it. "Theater eleven, to your left," he said, sounding bored. Josh nodded to him before asking if I wanted anything from the concessions as we walked over to them, the smell of melting butter tempting. "Medium popcorn and cherry coke Icee please, with a splash of Bluerasberry mixed in," Josh said, the particular order stirring a memory in my mind, one that made me smile lightly. "Do you mind if I can get a box of Skittles?" I asked Josh when he offered. Josh beamed before he paid for the food and drink. "Enjoy your movie!" the Luxray, named Lucx, told us with a friendly smile. However, thanks to my sensitive hearing, I heard him mumble 'fags' under his breath.
Since we were in public, I went ahead and slipped him the pidgey. "he called us fags," I explained, keeping a firm hold on Josh as his body started to heat up, his eyes glowing dangerously as he threw a glare at Lucx. "Calm down; I do not want to have to bail you out of jail for mon slaughter; keep a cool head, okay?" I asked him, holding him tight with my tails. After a minute, Josh snapped out of it and looked at me with an embarrassed smile. "Thanks; you just saved his life," Josh whispered to me, wrapping an arm around me before taking the popcorn from me. As we walked to our theater, I could not help but think about what Lucx did, how he reacted the same way my father did, bringing tears to my eyes. Josh noticed and held me comfortingly, running a paw up and down my back; this was definitely NOT how our first movie date went down. "Don't worry, about a thing, 'cause every little thing is going to be alright," Josh told me, making me feel a little better.
As we walked into the dark theater, the previews were playing as we choose our seats. The theater was completely empty, no one has shown up yet except for us. I slipped Josh a quick kiss, getting him to blush as we sat down, smiling at me shyly. I settled in with my Skittles as the screen darkened, the lights doing the same before the movie finally started.
I gasped when the intro started, recognizing it like my reflection. "The Notebook?!? How did you get them to play it again?! This movie came out like, two years ago!" I whispered as other Pokemon started to walk into the theater, all in couples; I could feel a few of them stare at us, but did nothing other than gaze away. "It's romance week, love," Josh smiled to me before taking a paw in mine. We both remained silent for the rest of the movie, enjoying the film together with each others company.
I could not stop smiling as we walked out of the theater, holding Josh's paw lovingly. "That was a wonderful movie; thanks for taking me," I said, giving his paw a quick squeeze. "Not at a problem; I know how much you love The Notebook," Josh responded, returning the squeeze slightly as a light wind blew, bringing us back to December. "Now, on to surprise number two," he smirked, rubbing his nose against mine, leading me to his car with a smile on his face.
'I wonder what he has planned...' I thought to myself, smiling all the while.
Here is Chapter six. I know that it is a short one, but it is because, well, there was nothing to say really in this one.
Listen, I know that I have not been updating a lot lately, and I have a good reason(s). My classes have been pushing me to my limits almost every day, and to top it all off, we are using knives every second of the day, so... yeah (I have not been cutting myself on accident though!) Also, I got a new job here in Mckinney (I won't tell you where it is, though it is one of a kind) and THAT has kept me up to my elbows in soapy water as the dishwasher. So, in short, I have been working my butt off every day to earn knowledge and money; it is worth it, is it not?
I will try my absolute hardest to update this weekend of 'Book of Zorua' 'A Deadly Love' and, yes, 'A little love story between Lucario and Braxien'. I will work my hardest but do know there is a chance of me not updating, as I may be dead to the world for the weekend due to sleeping. Just watch out for that.
