Chapter Seven.
I watched the passing buildings steadily change to trees and pastures as Josh drove us to the next surprise, refusing to tell me what it could be. "You will love it, that I promise you," was all he would say. The radio had been playing all this time, but when one song started, I broke out into a grin, Josh doing the same.
You'll never take us alive
Josh sang as he looked at the review mirror dramatically
We swore that death will do us partThey'll call our crimes a work of art
I said, turning all the way around, peering to see if I could see the imaginary cops behind us.
You'll never take us alive
Josh had rolled down a window, shaking his free paw outside the car.
We'll live like spoiled royalty, lovers, and partners
Partners in crimePartners in crime
I held Josh's paw as I sang this, smiling at him.
This, the tale of reckless love,
iving a life of crime on the run,
I brush to a gun to paint these states green and red,Everybody freeze,
I froze, Josh, doing the same while still driving.
nobody move,
put the money in the bag
I held up a random bag up, holding my paw like a gun.
or we will shoot,
Josh threatened,
Empty out the vault and me and my doll will be on our way,
I sang, brushing Josh's shoulder as the car started to slow down, and when I saw why my jaw dropped, the music was forgotten while still being pleasant. "JOSH!!" I shouted, looking at him with deep surprise. "Yes, this is the next surprise. Welcome to the Sakura Garden Pastures!" Josh told me, smiling with a glint in his eye. "But- how did you- when" I stuttered as Josh parked in the parking lot, somehow getting a front row spot. "Oh you know, a little planning goes a long way to making things happen," Josh told me, squeezing my paw before he led me out of the car and to the front gates. "How long have you been planning this?" I asked, looking at all the cherry trees with wide eyes, the very air smelling of the fruit. "Since our third date," Josh replied, making me stunned, stopping me in my tracks. "We have been together for over a year, and you had been planning this since our third date?!" I cried, unable to believe it.
Josh wrapped an arm around me, leading me slowly to the front gates with a loving smile. "Do you trust me?" he asked me, making me smile "Yes...." I said, trailing off like a very certain Disney movie princess. As soon as we bypassed the gates, a scent so strong, so good that it made my stomach rumble loudly, despite having a filling breakfast. "Is that..." I said, inhaling deeply as I opened my eyes. "Yep, Shogun Steak House and Bar, the second stop," Josh told me, making me smile wide as he led me to the restaurant. A country song was playing on the speakers as we walked in, the smell of steak making my mouth water.
"Welcome to Shogun steak house sirs; two for today?" the host, a Lucario named Lucas, asked us. "Yes sir," Josh replied, wrapping an arm around me. "Would you like a private room or a public?" Lucas asked us as he picked up two menu's; I was confused as Josh grinned. "Private," Josh replied; I directed my confused look to him as Lucas nodded. "Follow me then," Lucas told us, leading us away from the main building and to a separate hallway, only to stop at a door three down. "This will be your room, sirs. May I get one of you to come forward and pay up front? We need to make sure you can afford the Se-," was all Lucas got to say before Josh dragged him away, smirking with an evil glint in his eyes.
Since I had nothing else to do, I went into the room and stopped cold in my tracks. Black leather seating surrounded a circular table, a rich blue carpet under my feet. It turned out two menus were already on the table, so I took a seat and looked over it, thinking I would decide what I want while I waited for Josh to return. 'Hmm, T-bone steak sounds great... But the Steak Pot Pie also sounds good... I will get the Sirloin steak, six ounces' I thought, nodding as I decided what I was going to get. Josh soon walked into the room, smiling as he sat down from across from me. "Josh, what is this room called?" I asked him immediately, looking into his hazel eyes, demanding him to tell me the answer. "You will find out soon love; do you know what you want to eat?" Josh asked me, directing the question to a different topic. "Yeah, the six-ounce Sirloin steak," I told him, looking dreamy at the thought of food; my stomach rumbled loudly.
Josh smirked before saying he would get the same thing, a Quiliva in a waiter's uniform walking in. "Hello my good sirs; may I get you something to drink? The specialty for tonight is Dragon's Chocolate Milk at half price," the Quilva said, informing us of the special as he pulled out a notepad and pen. "I will have the Chocolate Milk," I said before telling him what I wanted to eat. "I will have the same thing as my boyfriend here," Josh said, stressing 'boyfriend' suddenly, catching me off guard. "Sure thing sirs; I will be right back with your drinks," the Quiliva told us before leaving, giving me a wink with a smirk.
I looked back to Josh to see an aura of fire around him; I could see that he was about to erupt if not extinguished. I scooted around and planted a kiss firmly on his lips, not getting any response at first, but I soon got the pressure returned, Josh holding me firmly. "Now you know how I felt," I told him when I broke the contact, smiling lightly as I wrapped my arms around him in a hug, holding his waist protectively as I looked into his hazel eyes. "And that is why I love you, Brandon; you always bring me back to me," Josh smiled at me, hugging me back, his head on my shoulder. I only smiled as we waited in silence, at least till Josh seemed to remember something.
"We have been together for two years now, right?" Josh asked, smiling as he broke the hug, looking at me with love and respect. "Yeah?" I said, looking at him a little strange. "Then here is a little anniversary gift, from me," Josh said, taking a box out of his pocket, sliding it over to me. I gasped, stunned and surprised, tears in my eyes as I picked up the gift; when I opened it, my tears fell freely.
A necklace was inside the box, one that caught the light of our room beautifully, the tiny white flecks in the sapphire making the heart look like a galaxy, infinite and beautiful. "Oh, Josh," I said, my tears falling freely as I held the necklace close to my heart. "Like the universe, my love for you only grows with each passing moment. You are my love, for now, and forever after," Josh murmured in my ear, getting me to sob as I flung myself into his arms, crying my eyes out happily.
This is the next chapter to Book of Buizel; I know that it has been a while. I wish I have updated sooner, but this will do for now. I will see when I can put another chapter up.
Till next time,
Peace out mi Pokemans!
