Species: Beltane Dragon

Abilities: These small dragons have the ability to absorb energy from the sun and release that energy in the form of a lightning breath. They are the fastest species of dragon in the air. They also happen to be immune to electricity and lightning.

Looks: These wyvern-type dragons are the smallest dragon species, the largest barely reaching past 8 foot at the shoulder. Their long (and disproportionate) front arms act as their first set of wings. Their second set is located on their haunches above their hips, which give them incredible speed and agility in the air. Their long, thin wings with a single 'spoke' also give them exceptional control. They have sharp, bird like heads with beak like muzzles. They are a rich golden color on top and sky blue on the bottom to blend into the sky from below. Their cloud like markings stretch all over their body to give them extra cover. Their tails act as balance beams in flight with sharp spines facing backwards, making it hard for the inevitable predators to hunt them. They have an extra digit on both front and back feet to grip the rocky surfaces of the side of bluffs, but their arms and legs aren't well suited for walking.

Habitat: Beltane Dragons happen to live on plateaus and on bluffs near the ocean where the wind current are strong. They often make their nests out in the open.

Diet: These small dragons are opportunistic feeders, eating anything from large mammals to small fish and birds, to even lichen. Humans too.
