The Huns, the most feared enemy of the kingdom, have just invaded the border, and this means war. Therefore, a man from every family must serve in the army to combat this threat.

Vivi Yukino, the only daughter of an aged warrior, has just reached the age where she is expected to marry to bring honor to her family. Despite her hatred for the system under which she lives, she must go along with it to keep her family strong, and hopes that she will marry one of her two childhood friends; Lewis Pepper, the mysterious adopted son of well-known chefs, or Arthur Kingsmen, the interesting orphaned blacksmith raised by his uncle, while at the same time pained that she couldn't marry the both of them.

But when her father, who couldn't hope to survive an enemy encounter, and her two loves are drafted into the war, Vivi fears for them, but as a woman in a patriarchal regime, she is unqualified to serve. So, left with no choice, and accompanied by her supernatural companion, Mystery, Vivi disguises herself as a man and takes her father's place in the war, knowing that being revealed will get her killed.

But she will not go down without a fight, and Lewis and Arthur will not let her fall either. After all, they are determined to get out of this war alive and live happily with each other when it's over, but first, they need use their smarts to get out alive, even when they are falling even deeper in love with each other.
