Mount Ebott. A mysterious mountain that is home to a race long forgotten by humanity: monsters. Legend has it that whoever goes up that mountain never returns, but that has not stopped some curious people from venturing there and falling in, seeing the world underneath. In fact, six children have fallen and lost their lives underneath that mountain, their SOULs being used to break the barrier that keeps the monsters imprisoned underneath the mountain. Now, all they need is one more.

When the seventh SOUL, a human named Frisk, falls in, she never expected to have an ally in the form of Annaly, the most humane-looking raven monster of the Underground who has lived to see the war, who was born different from the rest of her clan, and who had been the ally to the other six SOULs until she was unable to protect them.

And Annaly is going to have an impact on Frisk that will decide the fate of all monsters.
