A better way to think of school/chores is to think of it as preparation for fandoms.

Examples:
P. E.: a Dauntless training course/ training for The Games
Track: preparation for The Maze
Health: Augustus and Hazel talking about cancer
Washing dishes: scrubbing shields
Pretty much any other class: imagine Athena as the teacher
Etc.
