I've wondered this for a while, and I still don't have an answer so maybe you guys will, I don't know. Anyway, this question is more for Tris and Tobias than any other fictional characters, but here we go.
Question: how did they know how to kiss well and not screw it up?
They were born Abnegation so it's not like they knew how, Tobias probably knew more than Tris since Tobias had been in Dauntless for two years while Tris had just arrived in iniation, but they were like flawless and I was rereading it and having FourTris feels but then thought about that. I mean, you'd think they'd bump noses or something or screw it up in some way, but nope. Sure she tensed up but then it was perfect.
I love when couples have awkward first kisses (the doctor and pretty much EVERYONE) it's kinda adorable. The Selection, Maxon and America's first kiss was just plain adorable because it was weird and I was giggling like an idiot during the whole thing.
I don't own this scene, Kiera Cass does, and any other scene from any other book I don't own it
This is for you people who haven't read the Selection, and you'll see what I mean, for those of you who have, well, memories, and if you don't want it spoiled then just don't read what's underneath.

Maxon: *kisses America*
Anerica: *pulls away*
Maxon: *blush* "Sorry,"
America: "Why are you doing?" (Give him a break, Ames, he's adorable)
Maxon: "Sorry."
America: "Why did you just do that?"
Maxon: "It's just . . . with what you said earlier, and then seeking me out yesterday . . . just the way you acted . . . I thought maybe your feelings had changed. And I like you, I thought you could tell," "And . . . Oh, was it terrible? You don't look happy at all." (Aww isn't he awkwardly adorable? I love him so much and I don't care if he's taken!)
Maxon: "I'm so sorry. I've never kissed anyone before. I don't know what I'm doing. I'm just . . . I'm sorry, America."
America: *rubs his forehead*
Maxon: "What are you doing?"
America: "I'm erasing the memory. I think we can do better."
Maxon: "America, I don't think you can change history."
America: "Sure we can. Besides, who'd ever know about it but you and me?"
America: "One can never help being born into perfection,"
Maxon: "No, I don't suppose you can," *feels scene*
