Umm.. Symbolism? Ok. So the time turner represents how hermione matured, from being the brightest witch of her age to also being brave and loyal. There's a slightly older version and a younger version of hermione there representing that. The blue-purple colors represent how she almost got accepted into ravenclaw, and the dull darkness of those colors represent how her life at Hogwarts was full of mayhem and conflict, and her future was clouded with doubt as to whether she could actually survive Voldemort's regime. So, it's cloudy and masked near the bottom. The star-constellation thing on the top left is there to look cool, but also represents stars in a certain pattern. Centaurs can tell the future by looking at the sky; and since hermione helped Harry, who was the subject of a prophecy, that kind of represents that.
