Sing For Me (Maki Itoh X Male OC) [REMAKE]

Paolo Cristo, the adopted son of the wrestling legend Konnan, has traveled around the world winning championships in almost every wrestling company apart from WWE and AEW.

Now, a J-pop idol turned wrestler named Maki Itoh takes a liking to the Cuban, but what will he think of her?

For anyone not familiar with Maki Itoh, let me give you an idea of who Itoh is: she's like if you take a failure of Destiny's Child and Beyoncé starts wrestling.

If you are, then I think you'll like this.

And let's not forget, this story was originally supposed to be finished, but I had to discontinue it because I lacked ideas and I never had time to write more.

The cover I did, the background had half the Cuban flag and half the Japanese flag, which I thought looked so cool, but I didn't have anything else after that, so for this updated one, I decided to add an alleyway to elevate it a bit more.

Now, I'm hoping to do a remake of "Sing For Me" in the future because I always admired Itoh for her perseverance on working on her mental health.

Sharing her story with PWI (Pro Wrestling Illustrated), Itoh shared the story from her battles with mental health, her firing from the J-Pop industry being a blessing in disguise, and how she was able to make it in the Joshi wrestling scene,

"My story has not always been a cheerful one. When I was in school, I was bullied, and I battled with mental health issues. On days that I could not bring myself to go to school, I would stay home and sing songs. That is why I decided I wanted to be an idol, so I could escape the situation I was in.

"When I became an idol, I found that life wasn't easy. I wasn't popular at all, and I ended up getting fired. But that is what brought me to where I am now. I still sing and dance during my entrance because my idol days were an important formative period that made Maki Itoh who she is today, and I don't want to forget that part of my history."

That's just inspiring. I mean, she managed to turn that negative into a positive while being the person who she is today.

When you look her up on YouTube, you'll be surprised by how dedicated she is into her work while working with fellow DDT wrestler Chris Brookes.

Anyway, that's who Maki Itoh is and if you want to see the story, be my guest!
