Daniel "Danny" Runnells is the baby of the late great WWE Hall of Famer, "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes, who started to have a life that made him resent his own family: drugs, alcohol, getting into fights, and getting into trouble with the law.

Danny would eventually be put in the military as a punishment, where he served as a US Army Ranger, where he was forced to eat one meal a day and put through such harsh training to turned him into a better person. While he survived and served his country for five years, it all came crashing down when Danny lost his leg to an enemy's land mine, where he was honorably discharged with a Purple Heart.

Feeling that Wrestling called his name, Danny decided to give it the sport a try and although he was disabled and only had one leg, he managed to pass through the training and went on to have a successful career while being a role model for kids who have lost their military fathers.

After trying his luck with New Japan and AEW, Danny went to NXT, where he made a name for himself and attracted so many fans that nobody new he would attract a certain girl with the shiniest wizard.

On April 3rd, Danny confronted his older brother Cody, berating him for losing the match against Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Wrestlemania the night before, attacking him in the process, turning heel.

In the back, a certain girl named Steffanie Newell, best known as Tegan Nox, has started to fancy him and started to get to know Danny, but how does she react when she learns that not only is he a former military man, the third generation son of Dusty Rhodes?
