fast forward .. shadows

old wallpaper .. water stains

shaped like a devil

a trident and all

even two small horns on head

and a pointy tail

imagination

it was all too close .. too real

couldn't even sleep

dark figure stared hard

long and hard .. all hours of night

couldn't sleep a wink

even seemed to move

i'd lie under my small bed

sleepless till daylight
