wasn't long after

I was recuperating

an old oak tree fell

by me .. through the roof

large branches scraped my body

everything was crashing

winds howled .. lights went out

rain was blowing hard .. sideways

storm surge .. blew snakes in

step-dad snatched me up

carried me fast to safety

mom .. rest of the kids

waited in the car

seemed like hurricane betsy

called in by demons
