*REMEMBER: TRY NOT TO TALK ABOUT MAJOR SPOILERS*

Alrighty!! So, I read The Maze Runner like around 5 years ago, maybe more. I have ALWAYS loved this particular, outstanding character. Newt.

In fact, I call him my "Precious Human: #1" because I love him SO much. That... and it distinguishes that I like him better than most other book characters I love so much. :P

I liked him from the very instant he entered the book. I told myself, "This is who I'm going to follow for the rest of the series. This is the guy who will be my favorite, no matter what."

Now call me crazy, because not even half the characters had even entered the story yet. Yet, there I was, picking a favorite. And Newt... He very much remained my favorite until the very end. He STILL is after so many years.

I love Newt because he's so many things. You can not pinpoint just ONE thing to him. He's kind, thoughtful, a little funny, smart, and level-headed and reasonable. I know people would argue with me on this, but he is also brave and strong. If put in the real world, he'd most likely be considered someone with depression. However, with how well he got through things, wouldn't it make sense to say that he is strong?

There are still things we don't know entirely about him. Questions that are not answered or things we don't fully understand. But afterwards, once the very last book closes and has come to an end, we are left with broken hearts--but also a heart that is complete and has utterly changed because of the fact that Newt had even been created in the first place. We were lucky enough to have him in our lives.

These are the reasons why I chose Newt first.

Sorry for all that! I really made him sound like a real person, didn't I? XD
