what is with hurricane season this year?

like why do we need harvey, irma, jose, and katia back-to-back?

it's bad enough that irma has been upgraded to the strongest hurricane ever recorded in the atlantic, but now that we have two category 1 hurricanes behind it is just catastrophic

my thoughts and prayers are with those that have been impacted and/or are preparing for impact. stay safe and please don't put yourself in harm's way.
