Saved

I can't remember the exact day, but it happened during the summer before high school. It was a normal day and my mom had to work for a few hours. She told me that a babysitter would be coming at 11:00. I rolled my eyes, knowing that I didn't need a babysitter. It was my younger brother who needed babysitting and my mom didn't want me to watch him while she had to work. I thought my mom was wasting money. At 11:00, the babysitter walked in and almost immediately, my brother asked if he could hang out with a friend that lived close by. She said yes and my brother went outside. This left me and the babysitter alone for a while.

I didn't know her and I tried to start some small talk to break the tension. I asked how school was and she told me she was in college. She was looking for Christian roommates and that she recently moved out of an apartment room she shared with non-Christian roommates. I was surprised to know that she was Christian. I was a little Christian too, but not much. I believed in God, prayed, and sometimes read the Bible, but I didn't allow God into my life and kept him at a distance. I didn't want God to interfere with my life and wanted to do what I pleased.

The babysitter and I eventually started to dive deeper into the topic of God. She talked about the importance of involving God in our lives and asking him for help. She emphasized how critical it was to maintain a strong and close relationship with God. She told me to stick to my faith and never back down, no matter who criticized or disagreed with me. While she talked, I did a lot of pondering and looking back at my past actions. I realized that I didn't have a close relationship with God and needed to fix it. I asked what I should do to build a stronger connection between God and I and she recommended I watch a religious series called The Fuel Project on YouTube.

Eventually, time passed and the babysitter left. I sat down and watched an episode of The Fuel Project. Immediately, I was inspired and struck with awe. I was excited to learn about God and get closer to him. Every day, I watched the series and I started to read the bible more often. I eventually started to talk with God, asking him for help in situations and thanking him, even when times were tough. I put more faith into a God and made him more important in my life than anything else. As a result, my prayers became more powerful and my life changed for the better.

My whole life changed because of one babysitter. Ever since that day passed I have put my faith into God and tried my best to live the way he wants me to live. I know there are a lot of atheists that put people down for following God, but how could you not believe? Every plant, animal, and person was created beautifully by God. Who else could have created beautiful beings? Such magnificent creations couldn't have been made through the theories of the Big Bang or evolution.

I hope you enjoyed reading about my salvation. If you are atheist, always know that God loves you and that He wants you to turn from your sin. If you are a half Christian like I was, read your Bible more and put all of your faith and trust into God. If you learned something from this, please share it with people you know. Share it with Christians and non-Christians or share your story of salvation if you have one.

Check out the Fuel Project on YouTube and may the Lord be with you!
