Somewhere above Japan, a distortion in space occurred, destroying a swathe of (luckily uninhabited) land. From the distortion emerge a blonde man wearing a white coat (who likes to travel a lot). His arrival didn't go unnoticed. The Japanese Self-Defense Force had detected the distortion and dispatch squads of their special forces to neutralize the threat.

Arthur: This seems to be a parallel Earth. I wonder if there's something unique to this place.

He heard guns cocking. Around him was about 20 people armed with mechanized combat suits of various designs, their weapons armed and ready to open fire at any point.

Arthur: What a warm welcome. Could you people tell me who you are before shooting me first?

A short girl with slivery-white hair stepped forward. 

Tobiichi Origami: We are the Anti-Spirit-Team (AST). Prepare to die, evil Spirit.

Arthur: I am no Spirit. (He knows it won't work, but said it anyway)

Tobiichi: The recent Spacequake is enough proof that you are a Spirit. Now die.

The surrounding AST troops open fire at Arthur, but to their shock, every projectile was stopped dead when they got near. One swat of his hand and all of the projectiles vanished. Arthur then took a glance at the combat suits, called CR-Units by denizens of this world.

Arthur: Some nifty gears you girls got there. Too bad I have to turn them to scrap.

All of the CR-Units stopped functioning, broke into pieces and turned to rust. Some airborne AST troops fell from the sky, all of them were caught by those on the ground. Only Tobiichi Origami's suit remained operational. With an energy sword, Tobiichi Origami lunges at Arthur, swung a downward slash at his neck. The blow connected, but failed to even make a scratch. Origami then got her face grabbed by Arthur, and he used a sleeping sleep on her while looking at the information inside her brain. When done, he dropped Origami on the ground

Random AST member: You vile Spirit! What have you done to our leader?

Arthur: She's asleep. Alive sleeping. 

The AST troops knowing they can't do anything to harm him, wisely chose to flee.

Arthur: You there, behind the tree. Stop hiding

From a nearby tree emerged a blue-haired teenage boy. His name was Itsuka Shidou. T

10 minutes earlier, above the Franxinus airship:

Murasame Reine: We have detected a Spacequake 3 kilometers from the spot we are above right now. The AST has begun to mobilize

Itsuka Kotori: Send my brother. We must retrieve her before DEM can intervene.

One minute before Shidou get spotted

Itsuka Shidou: Kotori, I have bad news.

Itsuka Kotori: Report.

Itsuka Shidou: The spirit....is a male.

Itsuka Kotori: What? A male Spirit? Are you sure, Shidou? There's no male Spirit ever recorded!

Itsuka Shidou: I'm certain he's a male Spirit

Itsuka Kotori: What about the AST?

Itsuka Shidou: They already fled. The spirit turned their suits into rust and knocked out Origami...... He spotted me. Shidou out.

Return to present:

Arthur: Who are you two?

Shidou: I am Itsuka Shidou. 

Arthur: Okay, stop there. *snatches Shidou's communicator* I know you are listening, Itsuka Kotori. My name's Arthur Godfrey.

Kotori: Wha...How do you know my name?

Arthur: I looked at your brother's mind. I know everything about him, about you about your job. And I'm gonna say one thing: You can't seal me. Not in a billion years. But I will supoort you in your goal. Inform Ratatoskr about this.

Inside the Fraxinus:

Never once did Kotori fell into a situation like this. A male Spirit suddenly manifested near Tenguu City. Not only he didn't kill any AST troops, he also knew everything about her team. He even knew of Ratatoskr's existence by looking at Shidou's mind. This make her wonder: Is there anything else he doesn't know? Her thought was cut short when someone teleported in front of her. It was the male Spirit, with Shidou in hand.

Arthur: Nice to meet you in person, Kotori. Nice ship you got here.

Kotori: Uh, thanks! Uhm, Arthur-san, can you...introduce yourself to my sidekicks. On my left is Murasame Reine, and there's the blonde masochist Kyouhei Kannazuki.

Arthur: Very well. My name's Arthur Godfrey, and I guess I'm one of the things you people called "Spirits". 

He then took a glance at Reine, and keep looking at her for a while.

Reine: Is there something on my face? (Did he find out who I am?)

Arthur: I'm just thinking....Did you ever sleep, Reine? (The Spirit of Origin herself in disguise....)

Reine: I have some problems with sleeping.

Arthur: I see. It's not good staying awake all the time. 

Fraxinus's announcement speaker: A spacequake has been detected. Repeat, a spacequake has been detected.

Arthur: Another Spirit is manifesting, am I correct?

Kotori: You are right. 

Arthur: Hmm. I shall demonstrate a bit of my might to you. Pay close attention to the "ground zero".

"[Stabilize and Disappear]"

Kotori: The spacequake..it's stopped expanding and disappeared!

Kannazuki: I have never seen someone capable of stopping a spacequake.

Kotori: I think now I know why he said we cannot seal him.

Reine: But the Spirit manifested nonetheless. We shoud get to her before AST.

Arthur: I will go with Shidou. *teleports*

At the location of the spacequake.

AST Squad Commander: The spacequake has disappeared. All units, proceed with caution.

AST trooper: This quake was smaller than every other we've encounter. Like, abnormally small.

AST Squad Commander: Our mission is to neutralize the Spirit, not investigating the phenomenon.

On Arthur's side:

Arthur: The Spirit is inside that partially-ruined school. I protect you from AST, you deal with the Spirits

Shidou: You sure I can do this?

Kotori: Believe in yourself, Shidou. You represent a different method of dealing with Spirits, and we're into that. Be friendly with the Spirits.

Shidou: I'll make them fall for me.

Arthur: Word of advice: Say what you truly think deep in your heart. Besides, I've got your back.

Shidou: Okay....And can I ask why you suddenly help us?

Arthur: Because I know the spacequakes were unintentional, and Spirits are not deserved to be hunted down. That's why I decided to help you.

Shidou: What do you mean "unintentional"?

Arthur: Enough talking. Let's find the Spirit.

Shidou: Okay?

We made our way through the ruins of the school, searching room after room for the Spirit. We found her on the highest floor, at the leftmost room in the upper corner. The Spirit, upon seeing us, swung her hand, creating a shockwave towards Shidou. It collided with a barrier I created then dissipate away.

Shidou: We're here for peace. Listen to me!

Spirit: What's your name? And why are you two following me?

Arthur: Before asking someone their names, you should tell your own first.

Spirit: I don't have time for this nonsense.

She blasted another shockwave towards us, and again it proved ineffectual. The Spirit charged an energy ball and pointed at Shidou. Frightened, Shidou told her his name.

Spirit: Hold on. This isn't the first time I've crossed paths with you.

Shidou: We have met before actually

Spirit: And who is he?

Shidou: He's Arthur Godfrey, an acquaintance of mine.

Arthur: Hello, nice to meet you. Could you tell us your name?

Spirit: I don't have one.

Shidou: You....don't have a name?

Arthur: Guess I'll call you Tohka from now on.

Spirit: That acquaintance of you, I can tell he's powerful. And yet you said you're here for peace. Are you bluffing me?

Shidou: I'm not bluffing or anything. We really came for peace. I just....don't want to see you being sad

Tohka: You're lying! Every human I've met so far all want to kill me! I haven't done anything to them, yet they want me dead!

Arthur: I believe I can explain this. First, if we want to kill you, I would have done that the second you attack Shidou. Secondly, you probably aren't aware, but anytime a Spirit pops up, they created spatial distortions that wreak destruction to the surrounding area. The humans, thinking you intentionally created such distortions, consider you evil and must be eliminated. "Spirits" is what they called your kind.

Shidou: (So that's what Arthur means "unintentional". They aren't even aware of the spacequakes!)

Tohka: So that why they want me dead....But the main question remains: Why are you here?

From the Fraxinus, Kotori and her "advisors" began to tell Shidou what choices he should make. Shidou paid no heed to Kotori, instead he followed Arthur's advice: "Say what you think deep inside your heart".

Shidou: I came here so I could talk to you. I don't care what we're going to talk about, not one bit! You could ignore me if you want, I will not object. But know this: I'm not like every other human. Because I'll never bring sadness to you, and I will never let you down!

Tohka: Are you serious?

Shidou: I'm serious.

Tohka: Serious serious?

Shidou: I'm 1000% serious, Tohka.

Arthur: Guys, I don't want to to interrupt, but we got company. The AST, they are here.

From above, a platoon of AST troopers rained down a hail of bullet upon us. I raised a barrier to shield Shidou and Tohka while their barrage continues.

Arthur: Shidou, get that last step done quickly.

Shidou: What should I do?

Arthur: I don't know, ask her on a date or something?

Shidou: Tohka, I want to ask you something. I know it's kinda abrupt, but will you go out on a date with me?

On the AST's side, while Shidou was asking Arthur:

AST Squad Leader: Have you received any new orders, Origami?

Origami: No ma'am.

AST Squad Leader: Even after all of this?

A chunk of concrete cracked and fell off of the rooftop after sustaining heavy fire.

AST Squad Leader: Hold on, someone's down there with the Spirit!...Hold your fire!

The smoke and dust started to clear out, revealing Shidou and Arthur, much to their surprise.

AST Squad Leader: A human...and the male Spirit himself!

Out of anger, Origami pulled our her energy sword and dived to where the three of them was.

Tohka: What exactly is a date?

Shidou: It's....

Arthur: Origami's here. She's diving towards us

Shidou: What? Why is Tobiichi here?

Before Arthur could answer, Origami landed between him and Shidou.

Origami: Stand back, Shidou!

Tohka: How rude of you to interrupt our conversation.

Origami: Don't even think of using him as a shield, vile Spirits.

Shidou: Wait Origami, you got it all wrong!

Arthur: Her mind is clouded with anger, Shidou. She won't listen.

Tohka: Tch! Sandalp....

Arthur: Hold on, I got this.

I snap my fingers, and Origami along with rest of her squad disappeared. Shidou could only stare wide-eyed, dumbfounded and shocked at the same tie.

Shidou: Did you...did you kill them?

Arthur: I just sent them back to where they depart. Fraxinus's coming. Now do your part, Shidou.

Shidou: Tohka, do you want to go out with me?

Tohka: I still don't know what's a "date" mean, but you seem trustworthy. I suppose we could go on a "date" like you said, Itsuka Shidou - the first human I ever have a conversation with.

Shidou: It's getting dark, so how about tomorrow? Is that okay with you?

Tohka: Yes, I suppose.

Shidou: Great!

The next day, Shidou went on a date with Tohka. Tokha was very intrigued of the human world's cuisine, and she was a big eater, guzzling down on sumptuous amounts of food. The date went on smooth and well, but then things went south. Tobiichi Origami had been stalking them the entire time, and when they were viewing the sunset, Shidou heard a gunshot, and pushed Tohka aside. The sniper shot intended for Tohka hit Shidou in his stomach. Thinking Shidou was dead, Tohka summoned her Astral Dress then [Sandalphon] and lashed out at an equally shocked Origami, swinging strike after strike at Origami with her broadsword - Halvanhelev. Each time it impacted with Origami's shield, it brought forth destruction to everything around. Luckily, Shidou was still alive. The Reiryoku that made up Tohka's shirt, which she used to cover Shidou's body, fully healed his wound.

Shidou: What is going on?

Arthur: Tohka's power is going out of control.

Shidou: Since when were you next to me? I don't remember seeing you during our date.

Arthur: I want to let you two have some time with each other, but then this happened. 

Shidou: What should we do to calm her down?

Arthur: Isn't it obvious? I'm going to brought you to her *snaps

Shidou began falling from the sky, towards where Tohka stands. 

Shidou: Why do you drop me from above like thisssss!

Tohka: Shidou? You're alive? *caught Shidou mid-air* Is it really you?

Shidou: Yeah, I think it is.

Tohka: Thank you....Thank you for coming back!

Shidou: Everyone's okay now.

Tohka: I've thought you, the first person who accepted me, have left me forever....

Halvanhelev began glowing red and emits large amounts of energy.

Shidou: Tohka, what the hell is that?

Tohka: Halvanhelev is overloading with energy! I must find somewhere to release it!

Shidou: Hold on, you can't do that!

Tohka: Then what should I do? It's reaching the critical state!

Kotori: *via communicator* Shidou, use that method I taught you during your training. That way, you can save her.

Shidou: Tohka, listen to me. We have to kiss now, okay.

Tohka: Eh, what?

Shidou: Just put our lips together.

Tohka took the initiative. Soon after they made their first kiss, [Sandalphon] was deactivated, and Tohka's Astral Dress disappeared. They softly landed on the ground afterwards. Shidou gave Tohka his shirt so she wouldn't be seen naked. Tohka asked Shidou for another date, to which he happily obliged. 

Arthur: Now that everything's fine and dandy, I'm gonna go eat some ramen. 

The next day, Tohka enrolled into Raizen High School, where Shidou is currently learning, and immediately formed a rivalry with Origami. A rough starting day. And then he learned from Kotori and Reine that from his kiss with Tohka, he had gained some of her powers while sealing them, and extreme stress could undo the seal. The boy also learned how living with a woman other than his sister would be. Let's just say.....Shidou grew weary of the bathroom.

Tomorrow, at noon, Tohka and Origami's rivalry continues at lunch, much to Shidou's dismay. Then the spacequake alarm sounded once again. While everyone was busy entering the shelter, Shidou left Tohka with his teacher, while he went on to capture the Spirit - a child with long blue hair with a hand puppet, codenamed Hermit. Shidou met the Spirit inside a shopping mall, as per Kotori's calculations. The process of "capturing" Hermit was challenging, the hand puppet that called itself Yoshinon proved to be a tricky thing to deal with. As Shidou was talking with the puppet, Hermit lost her balance, causing her lips to touch Shidou's. In front of the eyes of Tohka, who just arrived at the spot. To prevent things going out of hand, I burst through a wall and bonked Tohka's head.

Tohka: Why do you hit me? Don't you see that girl is trying to take Shidou from me?

Arthur: No, you're just being jealous and jump to the conclusion without thinking. That puppet is just messing with you. It and the girl are, techniclly, separate entities. And she's a fellow Spirit, just like you. Shidou is trying to save her.

Tohka: Oh.....

Some missiles passed through the hole I made and hit Yoshino. They startled the girl, and she ran away.

Shidou: This is bad. The AST is out there.

Tohka: She dropped her puppet.

Arthur: Well fuck. That puppet was her alter ego. Losing it means she will be captured by the AST.

Shidou/Tohka: How do you know?

Arthur: My eyes can reveal truths.

Tohka: There's snow. And a rampaging rabbit monster outside.

Arthur: That's her Angel, Zadkiel. 

Shidou: We should return the puppet to her. Will you two help me?

Arthur: Do you even have to ask?

Tohka: I will assist you with all my strength.

Arthur:  Tohka, you lure the AST away from the city. Shidou, you will return the doll by riding Tohka's throne

Tohka: And what about you. 

Arthur:

Outside the mall, the AST was trying their damdest to kill Yoshino by their firepower. Suddenly Tohka interrupted the fight, prompting them to change target, while Shido rode on the throne made by Sandalphon. After a few minutes, Tohka has lured them to the surrounding forest.

Tohka: I have lured them outside the city. What now?

Arthur: You get to see my offensive might.

Standing on a hilltop, I pointed my finger towards the monster and fire a little fire arrow. That arrow instantly melted away the much larger ice barrier, allowing Shidou to approach Hermit. As for the AST, I merely threw a light punch that generated a massive shockwave which blew them far away, holding back enough so they would not die after an eventual collision. 

Tohka: As I expected, you are really strong.

Arthur: Haha, this is just a speck of my power

Shidou: *via communicator* Holy shit, where does that giant inferno come from?

Arthur: *via communicator* It's me, boy. And it's a tiny fire arrow, actually

Shidou: *via communicator* WAIT WHAT?

Arthur: *via commucatiot* Don't forget your part

Saving a Hermit became a piece of cake after that. Yoshinon was returned, we befriended another Spirit named Yoshino, and Tohka learned how to think carefully when seeing Shidou kissing another girl.
