Summer's Eve
Ian sat on the polished steps at the dinning hall, he’d made the worst decision possible. He was a Monk, an example of peace and composure, but Min has driven him to his breaking point. She pushed him over the edge knowing that he’d fall. Ian sighed,
the Monks will be displeased once word got out. He has failed miserably. He locked up his emotions in an internal jar in attempting to keep a calm demeanor, but Min being Min, she knew exactly where his weak spots were. She knew how to get at him,
and she always managed to get him in to trouble. Though he had to admit, Min also knew when to stop, she knew he had a very mean temper if crossed and holding in his emotions like that made it worse. How to break a person down without provoking the temper, Min was the one to go to. Everyone agrees that she mastered the human mind.
“Are you having second thoughts?”
Ian looked up and was extremely surprised to see Azula.
“What?” she frowned.
“Nothing, just surprised you’re here.”
Azula cocked an eyebrow.
“You got angry at me when I was trying to get us to the rock faster and…”
“I’m still mad.”
“Oh, um is there a way to get back in to your good graces?” Ian asked sheepishly.
“You promised to finish the tour.”
“Oh right, lets go.”
“You’re forgetting a few people.”
“Huh, right oops. SOKKA, SUKI, TIME TO FINISH THE TOUR!!”
Suki came running.
“Sokka wants to finish his meal, can you wait for us?”
“No problem.”
Suki grinned and walked off.
“So, what were you saying?”
“Are you having second thoughts?”
“Yeah. Wait, how did you know!”
“You are not very good a hiding your emotions, you had a blank face but your body language needs work.”
“What about you?”
Azula smirked,
“I am a 400 foot tall purple platypus bear with pink horns and silver wings.”
Ian smirked back, he shook his finger.
“Almost.”
“WHAT!”
“Like I said before, you spoke too formally in the beginning with I am, and your irises enlarged just the tiniest bit but I’m impressed, even I’m not such a good liar.”
“You can lie?”
“Yes, I can lie with a straight face but my pulse increases and my ears turn red.”
Azula laughed.
“Dead give away I suppose.”
She suddenly stopped, her eyes narrowing slightly.
“Why were you having second thoughts?”
“Because Monks are role models, people who are supposed to show that everything can be solved peacefully and I flop at that.”
“Huh, kinda reminds me of the relationship Zuzu and I have.”
“Zuzu?” Ian snickered.
“My brother, Firelord Zuko.”
“You call him Zuzu?”
“Yes.”
“I’m sure he enjoys it.” his voice dipped in sarcasm.
“He loves it, oh and he has two other nicknames.”
Ian’s face broke into a devilish grin.
“The blind earth bender, you haven’t met her, calls him Sparky, and the Avatar calls him Sifu Hotman.”
He roared in laughter. Azula joined in.
“He has the best nicknames.” Ian managed to wheeze out.
“Nope, it get better, the Avatar is known as TwinkleToes ‘cause he’s light on his feet and the Water tribe girl is known as Sugar Queen or Madame Fuzzy-britches, and the Water tribe boy is known as Snoozels.”
“What about you?” he asked, his eyes twinkled in amusement.
Azula shrugged,
“Don’t have one and I hope I never do.”
“What’s the fun in that?
“Hey arrow head,”
Ian and Azula turned to find Sokka and Suki approaching them.
“Who you calling arrow head.” Ian accused.
“You.”
Azula snorted at Ian’s outraged face.
“I was meaning to ask, don't you guys have any meat.”
Everyone in the entire hall turned and stared at Sokka.
“Sokka, what did you think when I told you I don’t eat meat?” Aang called.
“I thought you were being pesky.” Sokka answered.
Aang slammed his head onto the table, and Katara patted his shoulder attempting to soothe him.
“Like I said before,” Azula continued, “I pity Suki for having such an idiot for a husband.”
Suki giggled while Sokka shook his fist at Azula.
“Okay, okay, let’s get started on the tour so we finish before dusk. We have quite a bit to see, and if my memory is correct, I promised to show the library.”

Aang shook his head, what in the world is wrong with Sokka, he should have known this already, they traveled together for the past six years! Katara stroked his shoulders to calm Aang down.
“Come on sweetie, what did you promise to show me?”
Aang’s face brightened, he already forgot the entire event.
“Let’s go then!”
Aang took Katara’s hand in his and they walked out of the Dining room towards
the rock.

“So, what is it you wanted to show me Aang?”
Aang smiled brightly, he kneeled down and placed his hand in his pocket.
“I always wanted to ask you this.”
Katara’s eyes sparkled, Aang removed the most beautiful betrothal necklace has she ever seen.
“Will you marry me, my forever girl?”
“Oh my spirits, yes!”
Aang slipped on her necklace, Katara leapt into Aang’s arms and she hugged his neck while he spun her around.
“EWWWWW, MUSHY OVERLOAD!”
Aang and Katara ignored the comment.
“SERIOUSLY YOU”RE GIVING ME THE…”
Aang stomped his foot and sent the unfortunate person whom he perceived as Min flying. Nothing can ruin this moment.

“This is the library, home to the knowledge of the entire nation!”
Everyone’s jaw dropped. The library was a huge dome made of white brick, and stained windows colored in orange, white, yellow, blue, purple, red, and green. If the outside of the building wasn’t fascinating enough, the inside was incredible. The dome had an open ceiling made of colored glass letting in the strange light that shined like a spotlight on the well kept light brown shelves. The shelves were filled to the brim with scrolls and books. Azula looked hungrily about them, she loved learning knew things.
“I promised to introduce you to human anatomy, here follow me. Suki, Sokka, feel free to roam around.”
Ian led Azula to a shelf. To her amazement, he stomped his foot and shot through the air much like she done back at the rock.
He picked out a scroll and softly landed beside her.
“Here you go.”
Azula opened the scroll and awed at the detailed drawings. She went to the closest table and sat down to read, absorbing the information like a sponge. Ian sat next to her with a different scroll and began to read as well. Sokka was busily searching through books as Suki called out from behind him.
“I can’t believe it, they have an entire series about chi blocking!”
“Cool.” Sokka replied absentmindedly.
Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted a book called The Ancient History of Swordsmanship, he snatched the book, jumped onto a chair and began reading.
Suki sat beside him consumed by the Chi Blocking scrolls.

Ian lifted his head and took a look at the time.
“Guys, we better leave if we don’t want to not miss dinner.”
Azula looked up from her twentieth scroll. She has read through the entire series on human anatomy and she was able to identify all of the humans weak and strong points. She easily could see why Chi blocking was so effective. It spasmed the muscles and blocked the Chi flow, rendering the persons bending or body useless.
“Yeah, I agree with arrow head, I’m so hungry. Wait, where is Katara and Aang?”
“They didn’t come with us Sokka.” Suki replied.
Sokka’s eyes widened.
“AANG!!! I WILL KILL THAT SLY MONK!”
“SHHHHHHHH!” Everyone in the library hissed at him.
Sokka ignored his friends and ran out of the library.
“I better stop him before he decides to attack the wrong couple.” Suki excused herself.
Ian shook his head as Suki ran after the over protective brother. Azula bit her lip trying to keep herself from laughing out loud.
Ian carefully closed the book and got up from his seat, Azula glanced curiously at the title, it was called The Rules of the Government.
“So you’re interested in the law and government.”
“Kinda.” replied Ian.
He held out his hand to her and he helped her up.
“Would you like to eat?”
“Yes please.”
