A year ago...

I'm so glad you're mine now. Said the elder to the younger. Serenity. A place with serenity was what Jimin always dreamed of. Yes he got it. Now alongside his partner, Yoongi. They managed to make out their differences and shake hands on it. Never did it cross Yoongi's mind that the boy would accept him after all the horrible things he did before.

But no, Jimin proved him wrong. He also proved himself wrong. He is able to move on from Hoseok, the man he once loved so dearly. Accepting his death wasn't easy at all but moving on was the right thing to do. Like they say, life goes on.

Time will only advance forward, not backwards. Time won't freeze like it does in a fairy tale. Time won't stop to give you the happy ending you wanted but it moves so that it can give you the ending you deserve. Be it bright or gloomy.

Two worlds collide, settling in their differences despite what happened in the past. Friends become foes, foes become friends. Even the best of lovers can turn their back against each other.

That is what time does. It tells a story which flows either violently or smoothly, depending on what fate has in store for you. You'll never know what's coming yet you have no choice but to gear yourself up for the next wave.

Never did Jimin expect that he would fall for his sworn enemy neither did Hoseok, even though he was the one who encouraged him to be with Yoongi, to give him a chance.

But little did they know, all these while, Hoseok has been observing their every move like a hunter never leaving his eyes off its target.

I'll get him back someday, was the words he reminded himself everyday without fail.

As for the two unbreakable lovers, it wasn't all rainbows and sunshine either. They had a couple of feuds every now and then on whether they should turn human or stay supernatural.

Taehyung let's take the cure so we can become normal.

But Jungkook, maybe we shouldn't. Being human means being powerless

Taehyung please, didn't we promise to do this together?

I know but still.. If we both turn human, I can't protect you anymore

Hey look at me, nevermind that. We will protect each other remember?

The elder let out a heavy sigh, still hesitating to take the cure which is right in front of their eyes.

Are you sure we can take this? Shouldn't we seek permission from the other side or something like that?

I have no idea but it's right here. Let's just take it and run!

I don't know, Jungkook. I've a bad feeling if we do that

Stop worrying so much. The younger said in an annoyed tone and took the bottle away, quickly drinking half of it before handling it over to his lover.

Taehyung took the bottle but was having second thoughts on whether he should drink it.

Drink it, Tae! Quick!

Still he was still hesitant.

Please Tae, drink it! The younger continued persuading.

Again, he refused. The cave they were in started to shake vigorously, a voice echoed which said Who dares take the cure without permission from the ancestors?

Tae, now!

Frightened, Taehyung immediately gulped down every last drop of the cure, threw the bottle down and ran away with his lover.

And who would have thought that the most gruesome villains were the ones to have a happily ever after? Kim Seokjin and Kim Namjoon settling down at their own cozy cottage, feeling so carefree, nothing in this world could ever affect them.

See. This is the irony of time and fate. People judge too fast, only by the exterior and not what's behind the scenes. They always think that the bad ones would have the darkest future while the good ones, the brightest. Yet fate twisted that fact, using time as its solution to answer the question.

What's worse, when two close friends betray each other just so one could use it to his own gain. In this story, no one can be trusted. Even your other half. You'll never know when they will stab you in the back.

Because let's face it, at the end of the day, all you truly have is yourself.

Present time

"Hey lovebirds!" Jimin approached the young couple with smile so wide, you can pinpoint that it is fake.

"Oh hey Jiminie, sup?" Taehyung answered cheerfully with his lover lying on his chest. "Ah nothing, beautiful night isn't it?"

Taehyung knows something is wrong when his best friend starts complimenting out of the blue, "What do you really want, Jimin?" He glared into the shorter boy's eyes, trying to rake the truth out of him.

"I was wondering whether I could talk to Jungkook" he scratched the back of his head, nervously "Just for a little while?"

Taehyung glared deeper into his eyes "And whys that? You can talk here" Jungkook started to shift his body up into a seating position "Yeah hyung, you can talk here"

Deep down, Jimin felt irritated. He knows that those two were inseparable. "Aish it's okay. I'll be going now. Thanks for having us over"

Feeling intrigued, Jungkook stood up and chased after Jimin who was only a couple feet away from the doorstep. "Hyung, what is it that you wish to tell?"

"You swear that you wouldn't tell Tae?" Jungkook looked over at his lover and back at Jimin, nodding in agreement. Taehyung was close in approaching them so Jimin whispered whatever he wanted to said to the younger one.

"Well that's all!" He grinned, "Goodbye!" He bid farewell and super speed back home.

"Hey babe, what did Jimin say to you?"

Jungkook sharply turned around, immediately slapping his lover hard on the face. "Is it true?"

"Is what true? What are you talking about? And what's this slap for?" Taehyung placed his hand on his right cheek, hissing in pain.

Jungkook didn't answer but went straight up with Taehyung chasing behind. He started packing his things, throwing in as many clothes as he can in his manhattan portage backpack.

"Jungkook, talk to me! What the hell is going on!"

"I don't ever want to see your face anymore. I'm going back to my parents"

"What did Jimin say to you! Tell me!"

"You should know it yourself. I can't believe you wish i was dead"

"Jungkook, listen to yourself, are you even talking sense right now? I love you with all my heart. How can I wish for your death!" Taehyung started to raise his voice because this argument was getting ridiculous.

"You really regret being human don't you? Even if it's with me?"

"I didn't! I already told you that I'll do my best to accept the fact that we don't have powers anymore"

"Well you're still not doing your very best. I'm out. Goodbye, Taehyung"

Jungkook sprinted down the stairs and hail for a cab as soon as he got out. "Jungkook wait! Don't go!"

"Why... Jungkook... Come back..."

Taehyung stood lifeless at his front porch, tears continuously flowing down his cheek as he watched the cab drive away and soon was nowhere in sight.

Park Jimin.. You're so gonna get it.

"Looks like it was easier than I thought" Jimin stood at the top of the cliff where he noticed how miserable his best friend felt watching his lover leave.

"How can you do this? He's your best friend for goodness sake"

"And what choice do you have?" He turned to face his ex-lover. "You would do anything to get me back, won't you?"

"Not anymore. You monster" Hoseok left but was pinned down to the ground by Jimin.

"Let me go!"

"It's either you help me or you'll lose someone you love"

"I've already lost you!" he shouted, struggling to let go of the younger's strong grip.

"It's not me. It's someone dear to you"

Hoseok thought harder and his eyes bulge when he realized who the person Jimin was referring to.

"Don't you dare hurt my sister!" He exerted more force, pushing Jimin away and pinned him down instead.

"Try me" he threatened.

"You son of a bitch!" He punched Jimin multiple times on the face, the beating resume till the point Jimin was coughing out blood. All the younger did was laugh hysterically. Hoseok got up, staring down at him with disgust on his face.

"You don't have a choice, Jung Hoseok" Jimin shakily got up, wiping off the blood with his shirt.

"Now that Jungkook is back at his parents, it's time to carry out what I have planned"

See, it's true, isn't it? At the end of the day, all you can ever rely and trust on is yourself.
