Okay so I'm home alone and I decided to share what happened to me once when I was home alone.

Okay so one night when I was home alone I heard something weird. It sounded like a dying screech and then a gurgle. I got really scared so I ran into the kitchen and grabbed the second biggest knife. The person started banging and scratching on my front door. I sat on the side of the kitchen door with the knife in my hand. Then the front door burst open. I heard a person mumbling about something being a pain in áss. At the time I had a dog and my dog ran into the room and started biting at the persons pant leg. I heard a bang and then a loud crunching sound. My dog yelped in pain and then it was silent. Then realization hit. They just killed my dog. The person walked into the kitchen as if looking for someone. I tried my best not to scream or cry. I ended up gasping when he got really close to me. He grabbed me by my hair and dragged me to the end of the hallway and threw me against the wall. I realized I still had the kitchen knife and waited until he got close to me. I swiped at the guys leg and heard him fall I took this chance to see who it was. I thought I would see a really scary looking man but instead I saw my older brothers best friend. I continuously swiped at his leg until he crawled out of the house. I never heard of him again.

That night my family lost a dog and over on thousand dollars. My parents still think the dog ran away and my brother still thinks he'll see my brothers friend again. I had to clean up the mess he made and get rid of the dog. I can't trust to easily now and I can't stand being alone. I was 10 when it happened but I'm fine now. I eventually told my parents what happened at home around last year. He was caught a couple days after the incident and my mom and dad know what happened. I didn't tell them about the dog. But I've grown to like staying home alone now. Especially since my parents got me pepper spray and we now have an alarm system that sends a message to my parents. That was my worst experience.
