Normal p.o.v.

The project week was officially over at Heartland academy, and Artimus Stanley rushed out of the classroom with the biggest smile Zaira had seen on him yet. She wasn't surprised however. Not with the A they both had scored. Zaira had asked Astral for advice, on how to handle her partner, and Astral told her everyone had their own strength, and it was her job to find the use for those different strengths. So Zaira had finally come to terms with Art's drawing personality, and agreed to his idea with the WDC, but they were doing things her way. It was modern history in some way. That resolved in them going on many interviews, and Art drawing awesome pictures of each individual. After all that kid loved to draw. That kept his focus on this project, which was one of the reasons they Aced it. That and her crowning achievement. Getting Kite to do an interview. They interviewed every WDC finalist they could find, including herself of course, and the committee. Vetrix was nowhere to be found though, and Shark's interview was made by Art himself, since Zaira still hadn't forgiven him completely as of yet. Their relationship was still in a deep mess, even though Yuma and the others tried with all their might to make them make up. That however just made everything worse, since no one forced Zaira to do anything! However school soon returned to normal..

Shark's p.o.v.

Late in the evening. At Shark's place.

"Ahr come on! Come on! Pick up!" Shark sneered annoyed and tapped with his fingers at the desk in his room.

Seconds later he tsked annoyed when he entered the answering machine for the, he didn't know how many times now. Zaira's voice did ring through his gazer. That she wasn't able to pick up and blab, blab, blab. The sentence ended with that if this was Shark, he dared put a message on her gazer. Then the familiar beep sound could be heard. Shark just sneered and turned off the gazer.

"Damn it miss Stubborn. How can we ever make up if you are too stubborn to pick up my calls!" he sneered angrily and slammed his hand at the desk.

He felt like life was so unfair right now. Okay, he may have messed up and said the taboo words to her, but she couldn't be angry at him forever. Shark let out an angry cry now.

"Reginald?!" a voice suddenly said and Shark flinched a little at that. He turned around to see Rio at the doorstep. Shark sighed inside. He had forgotten Rio had moved in here once again, and that she was healthy enough to start school soon.

"What?!" He sneered out in a cold tone "I am in the middle of something".

"Well whatever that something is, it clearly involves a lot of screaming" Rio pointed out and chuckled a little "Wanna talk about it?". Shark glared angrily at her.

"I don't need your help Rio" He replied firmly "I can handle this on my own".

"Oh yeah right, says someone who comes home like a wild shark on rampage every day" Rio replied and grinned again "You can't hide anything from me Reginald. So either you tell me what is wrong, or you pay for a new front door".

Shark glared angrily at her, but then in the end, he sighed and began telling Rio everything.

"So let me get this straight, you ditched a date because of me" Rio said and looked firmly at him. Shark nodded slightly at that. Rio sighed deeply "Oh Reginald, don't you know it is almost illegal to break up a date with a girl. Especially on the day you are supposed to go, and then for some petty reason as visiting me in the hospital. I could wait one night". Shark glared at her, but didn't say anything else.

"I don't know what you said to her, that could make her so mad afterwards, but that girl, Zaira was it, clearly was very angry at you" Rio then continued and hummed "Have you tried to apologies to her?". Shark snort at that.

"Of course. I have been calling her a million times already, but she doesn't pick up" He then replied. Rio rolled her eyes at that.

"I meant face to face Shark. Don't you know us girls hate gazer apologies?" she then said "Do you know what I think? I think Zaira is just waiting for that apology. She clearly have forgiven you already". Shark sneered angrily.

"Oh and how do you know that? You don't know Miss Stubborn at all" he then yelled back. Rio rolled her eyes at him.

"Call it female intuition brother. Something you clearly have been lacking" she replied confidentially "Good thing I am around to help you out. Now listen. If you do exactly as I say, you will soon be reunited with your girlfriend".

Shark glared coldly at her, but figured he might as well do it. He really wanted to be reunited with Zaira.

Zaira's p.o.v.

It was a beautiful morning and I was walking to school as usual. I was actually rather excited to go. Mostly because of me running into Shark boy. He had called, I don't know how many times yesterday, and even though I just let them ring, this was clearly a sign he at least tried getting back together. That made me very happy. After all I already forgiven him for everything that happened in the fight. But decided not to show it at first. Mostly because Yuma and the others insisted on Shark and I should be friends again. We didn't need their help to solve this one out. At some point they of course stopped trying, which was around now, and I decided to accept Shark's non existing apology. After all if he wasn't the proud Shark boy, who would never admit out loud he messed up, then he wouldn't be the boyfriend I truly loved.

"Are you gonna make up with Shark boy, and Shark drake, today Mistress?" Cy questioned inside my soul "That is a good call".

I rolled my eyes at that. Cy has a weird logic sometimes. That the numbers assigned to their wielder, was in some way in charge of us, and this was Shark drake's fault for not keeping Shark in line. Like Shark drake could be to blame for any of this. I knew Shark was the one in charge in that partnership. Like I was with Cy. Sometimes I wonder what was running through his head sometimes. My proud Cy.

"Yeah I am" I replied inside happily "I figured it was the right time".

Cy growled in agreement. I took some fast steps now. I couldn't wait to arrive at school today.

To say that I was surprised when I entered school's ground was an understatement. I had just reached the end of the staircase, when a bouquet of flowers were directed towards me in blue colors. I think the flowers were hyacinths, but then again I was not into flowers at all, so could be wrong. However what surprised me more was that Shark were handing me them, along with a box of chocolate. That and his extremely embarrassed face. I must admit I was rather speechless.

"Zaira, I am sorry" Shark then said and bowed to me "Please accept my apologies. These are a just a part of one of the many things, I owe you from the date I ditched".

He handed me the flowers and chocolate now. I was still rather speechless. Thoughts were running through my mind now. Where the hell is Shark boy?! This is not like him at all. What is wrong with him? He knows I am not into this girly stuff. I were glaring at him now. Even watching him from every angle. This couldn't be.. where was my proud Shark boy hiding?! I was staring at his forehead, almost expecting the barian symbol to appear there. Brainwashed by the barians made even more sense than this weird behavior from Shark. When I didn't find it, I poked Shark at his shoulder with one finger. Just to make sure he was real.

"Av, what was that for Miss stubborn?" Shark sneered annoyed. I shook my head.

"Sorry, I was just making sure my Shark boy was in there" I replied in a cold tone. "Which seems to be the case. Even if this is the most awkward situation I ever been in. What the hell is wrong with you?". Shark were staring puzzled at me.

"What is wrong with me? What is wrong with you?" He then sneered "Isn't this what girls like, when their boyfriend messes up? Rio said you would take me back by now".

"Well then I am sorry, but I am not like normal girls Reginald" I replied rather coldly and gave him the things back "I am not into those thing, as you should know. We been dating for a while now. So no I don't accept your apology". At least not until you behave like my Reginald again. I want my proud Shark boy back!

"Grr Zaira you are a piece of work, you know that" Shark now sneered out angrily and looked rather pissed at me "Do you know how long I been working on this?".

"No I don't, and I don't care" I replied coldly back. Shark sneered again and was properly gonna say something, that surely would make us argue once again, when a voice suddenly ran through the courtyard.

"Reginald! I told you should wait for me, so we had the right timing, but no you just have to run off without me" A girl walked down the stairs now.

She was having bluish hair and dressed in a green school uniform. It took me some time to realize she was Rio Kastle. Shark's sister. I swore everyone in the school were watching us now. I was sure every boy in the school was having a crush on her. I just rolled my eyes and had crossed arms over my chest. This was getting better and better this here. It also didn't help that Yuma and the usual gang also were present and saw kinda everything now. The weird fight with Shark and I.

"Oh wow, Shark brought her flowers" Tori uttered and blushed "How romantic". I just rolled my eyes. All we needed now was Astral's observations, and I was humiliated enough. Luckily that didn't happen. Rio snort annoyed now.

"I thought we should do this together" she said in a sulking tone "Why did you leave me behind? What, you are too cool to be seen with me?".

I rolled my eyes. That surely was the case. However Yuma and the crew of course introduced themselves to her, and was it just me, or was Bronk crushing on her? Figures!

"It is so nice to meet some friendly faces" Rio then said and bowed respectfully "What a great start to my first day of class. Hopefully we can all end up being friends". My eyes narrowed a little. Was it me, or was Rio looking at me, when she said that last line? Apparently she was, because she turned towards me now.

"You must be Zaira Wroom. Reginald has told me so much about you" She then said and were holding my hands in hers now "Can't believe you are dating my brother. He is tough to handle sometimes isn't he? But you still manage to start a relationship with him. I am so proud of you". I must admit I got a little surprised by that.

"Well yeah, Shark boy has some flaws, but he also have a good side" I admitted slowly "But I am not sure how much relationships we are having, after he did that stunt over there. I am not into that!". Rio chuckled at that surprisingly.

"Well yeah, just ignore Reginald over there. He has no charm when it comes to understanding girls. He is a hopeless case" she replied and grinned.

"Hey, I did exactly as you asked Rio!" Shark sneered angrily. Rio waved at him.

"Ahr hush Reginald. Can't you see I am talking over here" Rio replied and ignored her brother. She smiled at me again, and whispered inside my ear.

"Really?!" I uttered stunned. This peeked my interest "Shark is having secrets like that?". Rio giggled and nodded. Shark glared angrily up at her.

"Rio! What did you tell her?!" He yelled angrily "You dare tell her anything..".

"Or what Reginald?! I am not scared of you" Rio proclaimed and looked at me "Come Zaira, we need to go to class. Then at lunch break, I will tell you secrets, that will make the big bad Shark boy so flustered. You'll see. It is a treat you can't miss".

"Oh I can't wait for that" I replied and followed after her. I sent Shark a smirk now.

"Rio, Zaira, get back here!" Shark yelled angrily, but it of course didn't do a thing. He sneered angrily and dropped the flowers, and stepped on them. He was pissed.

"Here keep them!" Shark said and tossed Tori the chocolate "I need to stop them, before Rio destroys my reputation". Then he rushed after them.

Normal p.o.v.

Girag had once again some new barian puppets. This time he had decided on the school Floral design club, who's club president were Lotus Hanazoe. Girag wanted of course the numbers from Yuma, Shark and Astral's wolf guardian, and were therefore making a new plan to gain the numbers for Barian world. He decided he once again wanted to target Shark, which Lotus suggested that they kidnapped Rio, to use her as bait to get to Shark and his number. Lotus smiled and said she would do everything she could in the name of Barian world.

Zaira's p.o.v.

Soon it was time to lunch and like Rio promised she was gonna share some of Shark's embarrassing secrets. Why? I didn't know. Maybe because of her good will in becoming friends with me? I was rather hostile at first, but Rio did seem like a nice girl, who wasn't intimidated by my fierce nature at all. But then again, she had lived with Shark all her life, so that was to be expected. It was also interesting to get the inside scoop on Shark. I was really not mad at him, but I could pretend a little while longer. It was fun seeing Shark follow Rio and I around at lunch break, just to make sure Rio didn't spill anything, he didn't want spilled. That lead us to the roof, where we all were assembled to eat lunch together. Rio had apparently invited Yuma and the gang as well. She really wanted to know us all I guess. Shark didn't join us at the carpet we were sitting at. Instead he was eating his lunch at the water tower, while looking down at us with a fierce glare. I smirked inside. There he was. My Shark. He was acting all normal right now. I was so pleased. I was however sitting beside Bronk and Ray at the other end of the carpet. My back was turned towards Reginald. All so I could keep my poker face. Something Ray apparently was happy for.

"I am glad you are finally well enough to leave the hospital" Tori then said and looked worriedly at Rio "So you are a 100 percent back to normal now?".

"I am as good as new" Rio replied with a smile "I had to get better, because Reginald needs me. He would lose his head, if it wasn't attached to his neck. Like one of these mornings, where he overslept. If I hadn't stopped him, he would have run out in his pajamas".

I chuckled at that inside. Imagining that inside my head. It didn't help that Yuma proclaimed he had small sharks on that pajamas.

"His PJ isn't even the worst part.." Rio uttered, but got quickly interrupted by Shark.

"Rio! Watch what you say! Remember I read your diary. So be quiet or else!" Shark sneered up from the water tower now. I wondered if Rio was about to tell one of those embarrassing secrets in that moment. Rio however didn't seem faced.

"Or else what? Well mister Nightlight" Rio just responded in a cold tone. Shark froze completely. Like Rio said he were rather flustered.

"Oh just never mind" Shark uttered from the water tower now.

I was grinning inside. Was siblings always this teasing to each other? I wondered. I knew Shark and Rio loved each other. A lot in fact, consider the length Reginald were going for her in the past. But was all siblings like that? Yuma and Kari was kinda have a similar relationship. I wondered if my Nii san and I were like that in the past. What I could remember from my memories, who were these small bits, we did care for each other right? I sighed inside. I really wished I knew more.

"Zaira chan, smile!" I could suddenly hear a voice say, and felt an arm around my shoulder. Ray was looking at me, poking a finger at my cheek "Come on smile!".

"What in the world do you think you are doing?" I sneered and clenched my fist.

"Giving you a hug, so you will smile Zaira chan" Ray replied "Remember, I promised you I will give you a hug, every time you were down in the doubt. Until you smiled".

I glared at him and gave him a fist in the face, which sent him flying. He landed on the ground some meters away from me.

"I didn't ask you to do that!" I yelled. Sadly I did end up smiling. It was refreshing to knock someone out in a while. Ray groaned a little.

"That's how it goes, when you take the Ray way" which actually made a lot of us laugh at his predicament. It was not like that punch kept him down for long anyway.

"Zaira chan is smiling. Yes!" Ray uttered happily and were soon sitting beside me eating his lunch like nothing ever had happened. Beside his swollen cheek. I rolled my eyes. Ray was a really strange kid. That was for sure.

"Wow straight punch" Rio commented and smiled "No wonder you beat Reginald in the carnival. You are one tough cookie". I turned a little embarrassed by that.

"Oh um thanks" I replied. I didn't want to mention Shark had not really fought me to win, but to free me from Vetrix control in that duel. I really didn't think that duel counted as a victory. Rio turned her attention to Yuma as well.

"Wait you are also one of the duelists who beat Reginald right?" She then questioned and nodded eagerly to herself "Yeah of course I know who you are".

"Well I guess I am getting pretty popular" Yuma replied with a smile.

"Yeah, you sure are, Kite Tenjo" Rio replied slowly. At that I couldn't keep myself from chuckling. Rio though he was Kite. That was hilarious!

"I am Yuma!" Yuma shouted offended "Yuma Tsukumo!".

"Oh yeah, I heard about you too. You're the one who always lucks out and wins. By accident right?" Rio then questioned. I had to cover my mouth with my hand. I couldn't stop myself from laughing. Yuma looked even more offended though.

"Did you say by accident?" He uttered rather annoyed.

"What was it your catchphrase goes?" Rio said and went thoughtful "I think I got it. I am heeling my toe right?". I ended up coughing, while trying to hide my laughter.

"No it is I'm feeling the flow" Yuma yelled up and got up from his seat. He looked over at me now "And this is not funny Zaira. This is an urgent matter".

"Very urgent.." Tori replied with a smirk. I tried to look serious.

"Are you sure?" Rio questioned puzzled "It sounds wrong to me".

"Em excuse me" A voice suddenly said and I noticed a herd of boys standing at the top of the roof now. "Rio Kastle?". Rio got up from her seat and walked over to them. My eyes narrowed. I wonder what they all wanted with her.

"I am the leader of the soccer team" A boy then said "We need you. Join us and manage the soccer team".

A lot of uproar happened. Apparently all the boys were from different clubs who wanted Rio on their team. Rio just smiled at them.

"Wow it is nice to be wanted. After school, I will visit each of your teams and select the one that is the best fit for me" she replied, and the boys were thrilled. Rio however suddenly turned towards me with a big smile.

"But boys.. there is a little condition" Rio then said innocently.

Time skip. At the soccer field.

I sighed deeply and wondered how I got mixed up in all of this. I mean I have never played soccer before, so how come I have to be paired up in Rio's stupid idea. I sighed deeply again and looked out over the whole field. Apparently Rio wants to take on the whole team of soccer players. Something she had promised every other team as well. The one that could beat her, was the one she would join and manage. Once again I sighed. And why was I mixed up in this? Well apparently Rio wanted to check me out to see if I had what it takes to go the distance. As in being worthy of being together with Reginald in the first place, if I were the reason we lost. I sighed again. On the other hand, I really hated to lose. So what if the odds were against us. I just had to remember the rules. We should make a goal at the other end of the field, and can only use our feet's. We should make sure the other team doesn't steal the ball, and we can pass to each other. Sounds easy enough.

"Okay Rio. You think you are good, but no one is this good" the soccer leader proclaimed. He was the goal keeper in this. "Even with a partner".

"That was true until now" Rio replied with a smirk "Let's take them Zaira".

"Oh yeah sure" I replied rather quickly as Rio ran down at the field.

I of course followed with quick speed. Rio dodged a lot of players, and when she was surrounded she passed the ball to me, which I manage to get. I ran towards the goal now. Jumped over some of the obstacles. I never knew I was this agile, but then again, I never played any of the sports games before.

"Rio, here!" I shouted as I was surrounded as well. I made an nice and easy pass.

"On it!" Rio shouted and got the ball at her chest. As soon as the ball hit the ground, Rio made a super shot, who even surprised the goal keeper and we won the match.

The next match was Judo. We aced that rather well too. The boys on that team, not so much. Then ping-pong. I was Rio's partner in all the clubs, where you were allowed to have a partner. Rio aced shouji, chinese chess, and single activity all by herself. I helped her with baseball, and Basketball too. I actually found that rather fun. Of course none of the teams could actually beat us. We both together were a wild tornado, no one could stop, and saw coming. Basketball was the last club activity we did, before the clubs gave up on getting Rio, or me for that matter, to join their team.

"Wow Rio and Zai. That was like totally insane" Yuma uttered.

"Yeah!" Ray uttered too with shining fan eyes "Oh I wish I had a camera".

"Thanks" Rio and I replied in unison and looked at each other. Rio then chuckled.

"Actually I am impressed you could keep up with me. Never found anyone who could get up to my level. No wonder Reginald has fallen for you".

I blushed a little at that, but quickly got my face in natural colors again. In the background I could hear how people complained about Rio, and that she was not the girl they thought she would be. I snort at that. People could be so judgemental.

"Those guys are so rude" Tori now said rather annoyed. Rio just smiled.

"Oh it is okay. I ignore people like that" she replied "Some people recent it when a girl turns out to be more than just a pretty face". I nodded at that. I knew that feeling.

"A pretty face. She is so much more" I could hear Bronk mumble. He was blushing like hell "She is the girl I split my lunch with". I rolled my eyes. Bronk had a big crush on her now.

"You're Rio Kastle right?" a voice then suddenly said and three girls wearing kimono's approached us now. "Sorry to interrupt, but our president of our club has heard a lot of great things about you, and she would love for you two to meet. Are you free to drop by right now?".

"Well sure, what kind of club is it?" Rio then questioned.

"Oh our club is the floral design club" one of the girls replied "Please come with us. You can take your friends with you if you like". Rio hummed a little at that.

"Let's do it" I replied and sighed, but Rio stopped me.

"Nah, I don't need your help with this Zaira. You already proved yourself" she proclaimed "So you are free to do whatever you like". My eyes widened at that.

"Hmm really? Then I think I will skip this club. Flowers are not really my thing" I replied and yawned "I think I will go get some fresh air. See you later". Then I left the gym.

Normal p.o.v.

The others were soon assembled at the floral design club's meeting room. You could see lots of flower designs, standing on a table near one of the walls. They looked beautiful. They were of course greeted by the president of the club, and were soon sitting down on their knees at the floor as you did, in Japanese culture.

"Thank you for coming Rio" The president greeted. She was cutting the flowers from one of the branches, as she was making a floral design right now "I am Lotus Hanazoe and I am the head of the floral design club, and I am pleased you brought your friends with you. I think you will find our club the perfect place to let your roots settle. We will provide you with a sunny path, so you can flourish in our little garden".

As she said that, she was cutting off the flowers from the branches.

"Haven't you teem that flower enough?" Tori questioned "There is not much left".

"Oh not at all. We pride ourselves on knowing just how far to take our flower, so that each bud my fully blossom" Lotus replied and her eyes began turning red. She continued on talking, but Yuma was only half listening. That is until Astral showed.

"Yuma, Yuma" he called and made the boy wake up. He was rather drowsy all of the sudden. He looked at Astral.

"Yuma look all around you" the ghost responded and Yuma did just that. He noticed that all his friends were suddenly asleep.

"Why is everyone sleeping?" he questioned puzzled.

"I suspect she has lowered them into a trance, using the tender of her voice" Astral replied slowly.

Yuma looked puzzled at Lotus for that. He wondered why she did that, and Astral suspected she was an agent of barian world. Seconds later all Yuma's friends fell to the ground, and were sleeping tightly.

"Impressive, you resisted the power of my voice" Lotus then said.

"What are you up to?" Yuma then sneered out. He didn't know what was going on.

"I see no harm in telling you" Lotus said and her eyes glowed again "My plan was to use Rio as bait, to get to Shark and his number". Yuma sneered angrily.

"That is so wrong!" he then uttered. Lotus just smiled at that.

"Perhaps, but you may like my new plan better. As you avoided nap time, I will duel you for your numbers" Lotus then concluded. Yuma snort at that.

"Think again.." he began and got up, but Yuma's legs were so numb from sitting on the ground that he fell backwards instead. Yelling "Pins and needles! Make it stop".

"You are funny Yuma. Sad but funny" Lotus said and chuckled.

"I'll show you funny" Yuma replied angrily. That until Rio suddenly got up.

"And I'll be here watching" She said and smirked. Lotus looked rather stunned.

"Not you two" she uttered annoyed. Yuma looked puzzled too.

"Rio, I thought you fell asleep as well" He then questioned.

"Something just didn't feel right to me" Rio replied and grinned "So I faked falling under her control". Lotus smirked evilly at that.

"My, my, what a clever girl you are" She then said. Yuma looked worriedly at Rio and began a long speech on that he was going to protect her. Rio snort at that.

"I'll be okay" she then replied and got up from the floor. She was glaring coldly at Lotus now "Lotus, I heard all about your little big plan. You stay away from my brother Shark, you hear me! If you wanna duel, then duel me!".

"Really you will regret that" Lotus sneered and got up as well.

They both left the room to duel in the courtyard. I was too narrowed in the club for an all-out duel. Soon Lotus and Rio activated their duel disk, and an epic duel was underway.

Zaira's p.o.v.

"Ahr the wind is so refreshing from up here" I uttered out loud and took a deep breath, inhaling the air around me.

Cy was beside me as mini spirit form, and was doing the exact same thing. Inhaling in the air, like trying to see if the wind was really as refreshing as I stated it was. Could a spirit even inhale the air? Right now we were out on the balconies, who had this view over the courtyard of the school. It was a special place, since this was the place, Shark brought me that time I passed out in class. I had hidden intentions really on why I wanted to be here actually.

"If you say so Mistress" Cy then replied in a little puzzled tone. Apparently Spirits really couldn't inhale the air, and Cy had to take my word for it.

"It was actually fun today" I then proclaimed "Rio is one tough girl. No wonder she is related to Reginald. Although they are as different as night and day".

"I am glad you had fun today Mistress" Cy responded and tried nuzzling my cheek again. "If you are happy, I am happy". I chuckled at that.

"That is very reassuring Cy. Thank you" I then said and smiled. Cy growled happily.

"I will always be here to protect you Mistress" The wolf then replied and tried nuzzling my cheek again. "This time you will not leave me all of the sudden".

"Um leave you? You mean when I almost died at the WDC?" I questioned. Surprisingly Cy shook his head. That confused me even more.

"Then when? When I left Astral world and ended up in the orphanage?" I then asked.

I was really only guessing here, since I couldn't remember my depart from Astral world, beside waking up on a beach. Cy had not been there I think. Once again Cy shook his head. That confused me even more.

"I was before then.." Cy mused out in a puzzled tone "I can't remember completely, but at some point you left me, reluctantly. When you almost died in the abyss at the WDC, I recalled the same dreadful feeling of almost losing you again. It was then I knew, you had left me once before, but this time I will be there. I will protect you!".

"Oh Cy" I said in a carrying tone, and made the wolf spirit sit on my open hands now. "I will not leave you, I promise". Cy nodded in agreement.

"Of course you won't Mistress. You would never do that. But next time you leave, I will follow. I already decided on that" He then said and confused me completely. I wanted to ask what he meant by that, but Cy interrupted me, by saying something else "Mistress, we are not alone. Seem like you have a guest".

I nodded slowly. I already knew. He was not as good as I was to hide in the shadows.

"I know you are there Shark boy" I then said out very loud "Show yourself!".

As I expected, Shark walked out from the shadows inside. He had been hiding at the door apparently. I hummed at that. I wondered how much he had 'heard'. Considered he properly could only hear me talk, and not Cy.

"Guess your number sniffed me out?" Shark questioned slowly. I rolled my eyes.

"No, your hiding abilities sucks" I said "I knew you were hiding, and so did Cy".

Cy growled in agreement at that, but Shark properly didn't hear it. He walked over to the railing I was hanging up at, and looked at me. I just ignored his gaze.

"What do you want?" I asked him instead. Shark sighed a little, then looked away.

"We might need to talk" he then confessed and were surely embarrassed by now.

"Oh really?" I said in a little harsh tone "About what?". Shark looked firmly at me.

"About us" he then admitted "I don't know.. since Rio has woken up, you barely spoken to me, and you don't pick up my calls. Did you really mean what you said, when we had our.. fight? Did you break up with me?".

I hummed a little and recalled the fight. I did say we were through to him.

"No" I finally replied "We are still together in some way. Although we can call this a break, if you want to". I could see Shark sigh relieved.

"But.. you were a jerk" I then continued and could see him freeze "And I ignored you this week, because you hurt me deeply Reginald. Those words are taboo for a reason". Shark nodded slightly.

"I know. I know I hurt you deeply and..". I placed a finger on his lip to silence him.

"I wasn't finished" I then said and grinned "You were a jerk, but you are my jerk. If you haven't pulled that stunt this morning, I would have forgiven you by now".

"Grr Rio!" Shark sneered angrily "She said girls liked that stuff".

"She weren't wrong. Normal girls do love that stuff, but as my boyfriend, I thought you knew me better than that Reginald" I then said and looked down in the court "I am not like those girls, and your sister.. is.. dueling?!".

I shouted that last part in utter confusion. Rio was really dueling down there. Shark turned so quickly around, that I was sure he could fly. At least in that moment.

"She is dueling?!" He uttered "Against who?".

We followed the duel rather intensely. That until her opponent were revealed as an agent of barian world, it couldn't go fast enough to get down there.

Yuma's p.o.v.

Yuma looked intensely at the duel who was underway. Rio was damn determined to beat her. It reminded him of Zaira in some way. At least with the fierceness in dueling. Astral were beside him, watching the duel with great interest. The two girls activated their gazer and duel disk and the duel began.

Rio: 4000 Lp's.

Lotus: 4000 Lp's.

Lotus started off first. She drew and summons "Fire lily" in att mode. It was an lv 3 monster with 800 att points. Then she activated the field spell "Zen garden", who made the whole courtyard in greenery, with the stone Zen garden in the middle. As long as this field spell was activated water monsters can't attack, and every xyz monster gains att equal to their lv multiplied by 100.

"Lotus's first draw, certainly proves her duel deck was ready and waiting to battle Shark" Astral now commented in the background.

Lotus continued her move. Since she had summoned a plant type monster, her garden makes her able to summon another plant type monster from her hand. Like her "Ferocious flora". Since she now has two plant type monsters, Lotus can summon "Cosmos" from her hand via its own eff. She had 3 lv 3 monsters now. She overlaid them to xyz summon "Battlecruiser Dianthus" who was this rank 3 Earth monster with 2100 att points. However because of Zen garden, it's att rose up to 2400.

"If you think things look bleached, then wait until Dianthus's eff" Lotus told them and activated it's eff.

By using one Ou, Rio took 300 points of damage for every card in her hand. Rio had 5. She now took 1500 points of damage. Rio got of course blasted to the ground, and her life points hit 2500.

"I believe your confidence has been up rooted" Lotus then said and placed facedown. She ended her turn. It was Rio's turn now. Rio sneered angrily and got up.

"Not bad Lotus, but it is my move now" She then said and drew.

She started off her move by summoning "Blizzard falcon". It was a lv 4 water winged beast monster with 1500 att and def points. She then activated the spell "Blizzard jet". Now her Blizzard falcon gained 1500 att points for this turn.

"Oho, 3000 att points. That is awesome" Yuma uttered happily "But not for you Lotus". However Lotus didn't seem faced. She was instead laughing.

"Pity. All that effort for nothing. My Zen garden field spell prevents water monsters, such as your falcon, from attacking" she then replied.

"Who says I will be attacking?" Rio then questioned with a smirk.

She activated her falcon's special eff. Since her falcon att changed, the difference in its att was dealt to Lotus as damage. So Lotus got his by an ice blast and lost 1500 life points.

"Oh yeah" Yuma responded happily at that.

"I concur. It's seems like Rio knows what she is doing" Astral added.

Rio placed three cards face down and ended her turn. As she did, her falcon's att returned to normal. Lotus smirked evilly at that.

"Dueling me was a foolish move" Lotus then said and you could see the barian symbol appear on her forehead "And now you shall reap what you have sowed".

She drew and from her hand she activated "Rank up magic barian's force". She rebuild the overlay network with her xyz monster.

"Go Chaos xyz evolution" she shouted "Born of chaos. Visits your judgement of this world of filth. Come forth Cxyz battleship cherry blossom". It was this rank 4 earth monster with 2400 att points and 2000 def points.

"Watch out Rio" Yuma yelled worriedly from the sideline.

"Oh I got this Yuma" Rio replied rather confidentially.

"Oh I highly doubt that" Lotus replied.

She told them her Zen garden effect gave her cherry blossom 400 extra att points. It had 2800 att now. Then Lotus activated it's special eff. By using one Ou, Rio took 400 points of damage for every card on the field. Rio had 4 cards, and Lotus had 3.

"Do you know how much that makes?" Lotus then asked. Yuma were flipping out.

"Ahr math sneak attack! 3 and 4 is um.. wait I got this".

"That's 2800 points of damage" Astral then responded.

Yuma looked rather horrified now. Rio only had 2500 life points left. Lotus monster fired a blast and hit Rio hard on. Lotus was laughing thinking, everything was over, but when the dust was settled, Rio was still standing, with 500 life points left.

"But how you should be gone" Lotus uttered confused. At that Rio smirked.

"Ha, I don't lose my cool that easy Lotus" she then replied "You see before your cherry blossom's eff, I activated my trap 'Diamond dust'. It destroyed my water attribute monster, so I only had 2 cards on my field, and only took 2000 points of damage. And that is only the beginning, of what this trap card can do, but I don't think you will like the rest. You take 500 points of damage, for every monster that was destroyed".

Yuma's eyes widened in surprise, when another ice blast happened and Lotus now lost 500 life points.

"Rio is a great duelist, isn't she?" Yuma then said.

"I am afraid that remains to be seen Yuma" Astral replied worriedly.

"You are as bothersome as a weed in a garden" Lotus now proclaimed "It is time I groom you for good. And this should do the trick nicely".

She attacked with her monster now. Since Rio had sacrificed her falcon, she was wide open for a direct attack. Luckily Rio was prepared for that. She activated the trap called "Ice chain". With it Rio could summon a lv 4 water attribute monster. Like her, lv 4 "Aurora wing" in def mode. Cherry blossom has to attack that monster instead and destroyed it, but protected Rio's life point. And that was not all, since Aurora wing got destroyed by battle, Rio could once per turn, bring Aurora wing back from the grave in def mode. Lotus just snort at that.

"Well that move bought you a tiny bit of time" Lotus then said and ended her turn with a face down. "Now there is really something on my mind, I really must ask. Tell me how much longer can you hang on".

"Let's find out!" Rio replied and drew.

She activated her last facedown. It was the spell "Monster reborn" which brought back her falcon from her grave. Lotus however was ready with a trap called "Rose Marker". Since Rio activated a spell or Trap card, Lotus dealt her 300 points of damage.

"Oh no Rio!" Yuma uttered rather scared "Looks like Lotus still has plenty of bad seeds in her garden". At that Lotus chuckled evilly.

"Yes, very well put Yuma, because you see, just like flower who has been neglected and left out in the cold, I will watch you wilt" She then proclaimed and laughed.

"That won't be happening anytime soon" Rio then proclaimed and got up on her feet's once again. She was only having 200 life points left, but she hadn't lost her cool yet. "You see I just made a chance to my strategy, and that means I'll be winning this duel much sooner than I imagined. Bet you wanna know how? You think our duel has been icy. You haven't seen anything yet".

Rio was radiating with confidence. It was like the whole field got covered in ice. She overlaid her two lv 4 monsters to build the overlay network and xyz summon "Ice beast Zerofyne". It looked like some ice princess with icy wings actually, who was a rank 4 water monster with 2000 att and 2200 def. Because of Zen garden Zerofyne got 400 extra att. Lotus looked at the new monster and snort coldly.

"Your monster certainly can make an entrance, but it takes more than a chilly entrance to defeat me" she then proclaimed. Rio chuckled at that.

"Oh not to worry, because I am not done yet" Rio replied and activated her Zerofyne's special eff.

By using one Ou, all other face up card lose their effects until Rio's next standby phase. But that is not all, for all cards that loses their effect, Lotus's monster loses 300 att points. Since Rio had 3 cards on Lotus's field frozen (Zen garden, her cherry blossom, and rose marker), her cherry blossom lost 900 att.

"Since Zen garden lost its eff, Xyz monsters, no longer have an att boost" Astral commented when Zerofyne and cherry blossom lost att. Cherry blossom had 1500 att and Zerofyne 2000. Rio snort at that.

"I'll say your Zen garden just got trampled" she then proclaimed "It sets the stage for my next move".

Which Rio then did. She attacked with Zerofyne, since water monsters now also could attack. However Lotus was not completely out of the picture. She activated her facedown card. It was the spell "Flower judgement". This spell sends all of cherry blossoms Ou's to the grave, but it gains 800 att points for each one. Cherry blossom had 3100 att now.

"All your icy attack, is no match for my frightful flower monsters" Lotus now said.

"Oh think again" Rio replied and sent her a cold gaze "Your chances of winning are about to get snowed in".

Then she activated the spell "Freezing point". Since Lotus's xyz monster had no Ou's, it loses all its att points. Yuma looked stunned around as the whole place were suddenly frozen. He then shivered because of the cold.

"This cannot be happening! My flowers have never failed me" Lotus uttered rather stunned. Rio snort at that.

"They say there is a first time for everything. Show her Zerofyne!" Rio shouted and made her attack.

An ice attack got blown towards lotus's monster and destroyed it completely. Lotus got blown to the ground with 0 life points, and the barian symbol disappearing from her forehead. Rio had won the duel.

"Oh yeah you did it Rio" Yuma uttered happily and looked at her "You are a real Ice Queen". That made Rio sent him an annoyed glare though.

"Oh well you know what I meant" Yuma then tried defending, and Rio giggled.

"Yeah I do. Just messing with you. I am not Reginald. I have a sense of humor you know" she said and smiled. Footsteps could be heard, and Shark and Zaira approached them now.

"Hey Rio, caught the match. It was an okay duel I guess" Shark then said and shrugged. Rio looked stunned at him. Zaira nodded at that.

"But Shark, you missed it" Yuma said rather puzzled.

"Nope I saw it!" Shark replied firmly. Rio's eyes widened even more.

"You watched the duel, this whole time?" she then questioned.

"Yep, even though I didn't give you any pointers" her brother responded.

"I don't need your help" Rio replied rather stubbornly.

Zaira's p.o.v.

I sighed relieved as all the things at our school went back to normal. Tori and the gang woke up from the nap, Lotus had put them in, and Rio surprisingly won over Lotus, who was no longer possessed by the barian's along with the rest of the club. I was surprised Rio won, but like Yuma said, she was sort of an Ice queen, like I was wolf leader to my pack of wolves, so yeah I figured she could take care of herself. The sunset was shown in the sky now, as we all walked home together. Shark and I were walking side by side. I looked up at him.

"Hey Reginald?" I then said and got Shark's attention "If you want me to forgive you, there is one thing I need you to do..".

"Hmm what?" he questioned in a puzzled tone.

"Don't ever listen to your sister again!" I then said firmly "At least not with our relationship". Shark actually sent me a smirk and took my hand.

"Of course" he replied and kissed my cheek "I wouldn't listen to her now anyway".

"Hey, that is not fair!" Rio shouted angrily "I was helping you guys". Shark and I just ignored her at that point. Yuma, who were walking on Shark's other side, smiled.

"Well at least Rio is a real pro in dueling" he then said "She is one tough cookie".

"Nah, deep down she goes to pieces pretty quickly" he responded. I looked confused at him. Then Rio had suddenly stopped up. She looked so scared.

"Ah!" she yelled and rushed over to hide behind Shark now "Cat! Cat! Cat!". She pointed at a little kitten who was walking on the street now beside us.

"Don't tell me you are scared of a kitten?" Ray questioned puzzled and bowed down to pat it. Rio looked rather terrified.

"I know it is weird, but they give me the goosebumps" she said and looked at her brother "Reginald, I need you to get rid of it now!".

"I though you said you didn't want my help Rio" Shark replied and smirked.

"Come on!" she yelled. I rolled my eyes at that. So much for the brave Ice queen.

"Ah she is cute when she is terrified" Bronk then said and blushed.

I rolled my eyes. And Bronk really needed to get over his crush. Then Rio were suddenly yelling up because her brother didn't want to get rid of the kitten. I smirked at that. This was seriously gonna be an interesting school time, since Rio had joined the group. That I was sure off.

A,N: Well that was that chapter. A really fitting ending lol. A funny too. In the next chapter we meet Alito. The guy who has the same curly hair as me, and color. Okay maybe you didn't need to know that. However he is interesting. Crushing on Tori, Tries to flirt with Tori, and counter clashes with Zaira. Wait what?! I meant dueling with Yuma.. And stalks Zaira. Okay that sounds completely off, But I promise an interesting chapter you hopefully will like lol.
