Coliseum battle part 1.

A,N: Well here is the next part. Once again, the chapter became longer than expected but oh well. At least I am updating. Thank for all your support up until now though. I appreciate it a lot. Please comment on what you think of the chapter.

Normal p.o.v.

In the middle of the night. At the lake.

Alito sighed rather relived as he found the lake without any people at all. Sure it did make sense, since it was in the middle of the night, but still. He had hoped that he would arrive here before Yuma and Astral. He wanted to face Yuma again in a duel after his latest defeat against the lobster haired male. To be honest his whole body was aching for a rematch against him. It had been the only thing Alito could think about doing his supposedly endless statuses and it was all he was thinking about now. His rematch so he could get his revenge on Yuma for beating him. That and he had been running around the town to get information of this number ruin. After all that he deserved to battle Yuma. That was for sure. Now all he needed to do was getting his hands on the number card down there. He was already having a plan at hand on how to retrieve it in fact. Several cards called 'Blast with a chain' was in his hand, and all he needed to do now, was putting them in their right place, and make them lead the water away. It was piece of cake.

In the meantime in his hotel room, Nistro couldn't sleep. He couldn't stop thinking about all the fans and Children who was counting on him to win. It kept him up and, in the end, Nistro went on a ride on his motorcycle instead. To clear his head. At some point he ended at the Number ruin lake as well and was now starring at the water before him. He couldn't believe what he was doing here.

"The legend says that whoever captures the spirit of the warrior down there, will gain extraordinary power" Nistro then mused to himself and scratched the back of his hair "I can't believe I came here in the middle of the night because of some moldy old legend. Even if the story was true, I could never reach those ruins unless I have underwater gear with me".

He sighed deeply and was about to walk back to his Motorbike, when Alito's 'Blast and chain' cards activated. Small explosions happened all around the lake, which created a huge hole in the lake and made all the water leak out. Sadly, one of the places these explosions happened, was right underneath the cliff Nistro was standing at, and the ground soon disappeared under him, making Nistro fall into the now reachable ruins.

Shark's p.o.v.

Around the same time.

Shark sighed deeply as he once again paced back and forth on the floor. Back and forth. Back and forth. His movement showing restlessness. He knew it was in the middle of the night, but Shark just couldn't find it in himself to rest at all. He hadn't even undressed for the night either. That was just restless he was at the moment. Shark sighed again before finally stopping his pacing and tossed himself at the bed. His head hitting the pillow seconds later. All which made him sigh out once again. The events from before just couldn't leave his mind at all, along with a lot of other stuff. Dumon! Is this your revenge against me? The things you told me; I was happy not knowing this! You and Zaira! I can't believe it! Shark let out a sigh again. Thinking about this didn't really help him at all, and it didn't help with the information he had gotten from Zaira at the restaurant. She had after all finally admitted she was a barian and Vector's sister, and even though that info didn't change his view of Zaira (He didn't see her as a traitor), it still hurt Shark. Not the info itself. No that was not it, but it was the fact that Dumon had been right. After all if it was true Zaira was a barian and Vector's sister, just like Dumon had stated, then the info around them being lovers once was true as well. Shark let out a painful growl. Mentally this hurt his heart more than any psychically injury ever could do. He had tried everything to forget this, but it hadn't helped at all. Then he had tried to avoid her as much as possible, considering how they were all stuck together on this quest for the numbers, but that hadn't worked either. His sister had once again meddled in his relationship with Zaira, if you could call it that, and dressed Zaira up really nice. Clearly to get his attention, and in some way, it had worked, just not in the way they had hoped. The white t-shirt, the vest. Especially the vest! It reminded him of Dumon's human dress code, and that had just made the pain even more unbearable. That along with everything. It just made it seem that Zaira was no longer his girlfriend, but at the same time, he was afraid of breaking up with her, in case Dumon literally swooped in and took her away for good. After all, who was to say that Zaira's forgotten memories wouldn't return one day, and when they did, Zaira would return to him. She would choose Dumon over him. That he knew! He growled annoyed again. He just didn't know what to do. Hard knocks could suddenly be heard from the door, and it woke up Shark from all these thoughts he was having.

"Shark! Shark! Open up!" He could then hear Zaira shout from the other side of the door. She sounded annoyed. Shark however decided to stay silent in hopes that she would think he was not here and leave. That didn't work out that well.

"I know you are in there, Shark boy, so don't try to pretend otherwise!" Zaira shouted. She sounded even more pissed than before "Open up now or I will break in myself! I am not kidding! I count to 3...!".

Shark groaned rather annoyed, but knowing Zaira's reputation as former thief, he was not taking any chances. He was having his pride. He would rather have her see him when he wanted to instead of her seeing him as an emotional mess. He took a deep breath to compose himself before he opened the door. He of course got met by a ferocious female wolf, who luckily for him, was dressed in her usual dress code.

"It was about time" Zaira sneered as she walked inside without any regards. She walked into the middle of the room, before she turned around to face him. Her wolfy glare was slowly disappearing in her eyes. "We need to talk".

"Oh really? I would never have guessed that when you almost knocked down my door" Shark replied sarcastically as he shut the door, locking it in the process.

"Don't you dare take that sarcastically tone with me Reginald" Zaira sneered back. She now had her arms crossed over her chest. "I wanna know what's been bothering you, and don't you say it is nothing, you been weird since the Pegasus ruin. In fact I will not leave this room until you do". Shark lifted an eyebrow at that.

"Weird hu? You are the one to talk. You were just as weird" he then stated. At that Zaira actually stopped up for a second, before she got her firm compose back on.

"Okay true. I deserve that one. I wasn't straight with you from the get-go, but a lot of things were on my mind and I needed to progress it" she then replied in a firm tone.

"That's putting it lightly, but before you even begin to question me, try seeing it from my perspective. Don't you think I can have a lot on my mind to progress too" Shark then replied as he was facing Zaira, with his arms over his chest too. Both of them were rather defensive. That only made Zaira roll her eyes at him.

"I did. I have been trying to figure you out since that talk on the ship" she then replied "You have been very distant from me lately. I first thought it was because I hadn't been straight with you. Being... being a supposedly barian and brother to Vector. I thought you were mad at me, and needed space, but your actions at the restaurant makes me wonder if there is more too it".

"Well that is annoyingly observant of you" Shark snort back in a rather cold tone "But let me give you some pointers. It Does Not Concern You".

"But Shark..." Zaira began in a soft voice, but quickly changed into fierceness "It does, if it ruins our relationship. Just spill it already".

Shark snort rather coldly but no words left his lips. Instead he was staring just as fiercely into Zaira's purple eyes with a glare that clearly said, 'Just butt out'. Zaira however was just as stubborn as he was.

"Is it... because of Dumon?" she then uttered slowly, which of course caught Shark off guard. Big time! Then anger rose up in him.

"Dumon?! How can you think that? That bastard! He's the one...".

"I hit a nerve, didn't I?" Zaira interrupted and send him a sly smile "You did after all mention his name, just before you left the restaurant...".

"You just shut your mouth!" Shark sneered in a very defensive matter. He was like an animal chased into a corner, and like that animal he was trying to strike back. As hard as he could. "You don't know anything! You don't know what kind of torment he has put me through, and you don't car...".

"So what did he say?" Zaira once again interrupted, cutting through Shark angry fit. Just like that. "Knowing Dumon, verbal torments seem to be his only strength in tortures situations, or so do I believe. What happened when you two went to get water at the pegasus ruin? You returned on your own and refused to talk to me...".

"Nothing happened. I told you that already!" Shark now sneered and turned his back to her. He just couldn't see her accusing face any longer. However he couldn't keep himself from talking though "Just because that bastard states you were lovers once, doesn't mean he can come here and mess up everything".

"Wait what? Lovers? Is this what this is all about Shark boy?" Zaira then questioned making Shark turn towards her "There is nothing between me and Dumon...".

"Of course I know that. I know that you wouldn't cheat on me miss stubborn" Shark stated and shrugged a little "The problem is that you Were. Sure you don't remember that now, but one day you will and then you will leave me in favor for him...".

Then without warning, warm passionate lips crashed onto his. Shark didn't even see that coming. Zaira had apparently moved around while he had been talking and was now kissing him like there was no tomorrow. Shark, who had been talking in that moment, had not been prepared for this at all. With wide eyes, he half-hearted tried to kiss back, but it still was a very awkward kiss. One Zaira ended up pulling away from.

"You are such a fool Shark boy. You really are" she then stated and send him one of her sweet smile "So what if my memories of my barian life returns. It is not like I will just forget the memories I made here on Earth with you. I love you. That will never change you hear".

Shark was literally staring. He was staring into Zaira's purple eyes, which showed her honesty and sincerity in her words. It made Shark believe and trust her words. Sure neither of them knew what the future would bring them, but Zaira, even though she had lost her memories, was ready to try regardless, so why couldn't he? They were together in this after all.

"Again. Let's kiss again" was Shark's only responds, but it seemed like Zaira understood his attentions, because they both kissed again.

A kiss that should make them both forget their worries, for now, and just live in the present, where only each other mattered. A kiss for them to make up, without saying anything and a kiss because it showed just how much they loved each other. Shark just couldn't be happier. Sadly, fate was once again too cruel to them. Coughing sounds could be heard, making both Zaira and Shark lift an eyebrow to see who was interrupting them. Shark had almost figured it was either Rio or Yuma in some way. Both of them could after all be annoyingly interrupting, but when both of them opened their eyes, it was neither of them. It was Astral.

"Astral! What the heck?" Zaira then uttered "How long have you been here? Can't we have some privacy?".

"Oh I have just arrived. Is this the kissing I have heard so much about? It is a very interesting observations" Astral began which made both Shark and Zaira turn red in their face, and Zaira flipping out on him, by tossing a pillow.

"Astral! This is personal! Out! Out now!" she yelled at him.

"My apologizes Zaira, but that is not possible. Something has happened up at the lake. We need to act now" Astral stated in a firm tone.

Zaira and Shark both looked at each other and nodded. This had to wait for later.

Zaira's p.o.v.

We soon arrived on the balcony of the suite to our hotel room, only to find that we weren't the only ones. Kite and Rio was already there, and Kite was scanning the area with a pair of binoculars. I was not sure why, but I knew that whatever was going on Shark and I could face it together. Shark and I had made up and it felt great to say the least. Especially since I was holding my boyfriend's hand right now.

"Well look who's finally made up hu?" I could then hear Rio say and send us on of her sly smiles "It was about time".

I must admit I felt a little embarrassed about that, and Shark looked just as red as I did. He would properly have said something back at Rio had it not been for Yuma walking out on the balcony, while rubbing sleep out of his eyes. Guess Astral finally got Yuma up too.

"Hey you guys. What's wrong? Astral said something was happening up at the lake" Yuma then questioned and looked rather puzzled at all of us.

"It's more like something's going down" Kite replied and handed him the binoculars. I narrowed my eyes at that and tried to spot what Kite had been talking about. It was pretty each considering that it was in plain sight. Even from here.

"Wait the water has drained away. I can see the ruins now" Yuma uttered rather stunned which made Kite nod back as a reply.

I narrowed my eyes once more. I didn't like this at all. The water from the lake couldn't just magically disappear overnight. No someone made this happen. I bet my name on it.

"We can reach the ruins now" Yuma uttered rather cheerfully which made me just glare annoyed at him. Did he really think this was going to be this easy?

"Yeah but so can the barians" Shark sneered and then turned towards me "No offense Zaira. But none of those barian's we faced has been pleasant to say the least".

"Ah it is okay" I mused out rather quickly.

I wasn't offended at all. But my thoughts did linger on Dumon's again, before I shook that thought out of my head. Sure, he had been helping us at the pegasus ruin, but at the Sargasso, he hadn't been that helpful at all. That and I knew how Shark felt around Dumon now. I snort annoyed to myself here. So what if Dumon and I might have been lovers. I was together with Shark now. and that would never change. Or so I hoped.

"Yeah they can reach the ruins before we do" Astral added in, in a worried tone. At that I nodded as well. We had to hurry and get down there!

"Shark" I could suddenly hear Rio say as she tapped her brother on his shoulder. We all turned towards her "I sense... there is a dark power down there".

"It must be one of the barians" I replied slowly. I could feel this as well. This weird dark power. There even were some kind of resembles with it, but I just couldn't put my fingers on where. Not that it was important but still.

"Hu? Why are you all still awake?" A voice suddenly said. I turned around to see Dextra stand in the door to the room. She was dressed in a fine silk nightgown.

"Did something happen?" she then asked, making us all nod.

I let Yuma and Astral deal with explaining the details, but in the end Dextra agreed to drive us out to the lake in her car. As soon as she had changed her clothes that is.

Alito's p.o.v.

In the meantime.

Alito was walking through the hallways of this ancient as well as ruined coliseum in his search for the number hidden in here. In his hand was a torch and its flame burned brightly, being the only light in these dark hallways. After all Alito had no clue where this number card might be hiding, so he needed to have his eyes and ears open for everything. As he walked through these hallways however, he did notice some strange carvings at the walls. It was some kind of old mural of some sort and it clearly told a story of kind. Usually this was not something he would be interested in the least, but those pictures had him captivated. It was like they awoke something inside of him that made it impossible for him to turn his eyes away. Not even for a second. He saw pictures of a warrior maybe, who was battling with his bare hands. He was facing an opponent who seemed royal because he was wearing a crown and holding a sword. Alito couldn't find any meaning in this at all and finally managed to draw his eyes away from it, only to find himself looking at another picture. This time the warrior seemed captured and people were pointing swords at him. Alito groaned a little as he shook his head away from this picture too. This had no importance to his mission here. He was here to find this ruins number, so he could be even with Yuma. With determined steps now, Alito walked through the hallways towards the only light he was seeing. He was determined to prevail in this. But at the same time a little annoying thought entered his mind as well, as he left entering now the arena of the coliseum. I feel like I have walked through here before. Then he was standing in the arena looking up at a giant hand statue, who was placed in the middle of the center of the ruin, and in between two fingers was a card stuck. Alito of course knew that must be the number he had been looking for. He didn't hesitate as he jumped up in the air to grab the card from the statue. Sadly, what he hadn't been counted for was the barrier surrounding it. He was literally thrown into it.

"Ah! This barrier is strong!" Alito uttered rather shocked. He knew this was the number cards doing, and it annoyed him a great deal.

"Only one who possesses the spirit of a great warrior is worthy of inheriting my power" Alito could then suddenly hear a voice say as a spirit of a warrior monster appeared in front of him. "Could you be the one? Are you willing to prove that you surpass all others in skills and courage?". Alito snort confident at that.

"You better believe it. Now give me that number so I can beat Yuma Tsukumo once and for all!" He then yelled back as he slammed his fist into the barrier.

It was carrying all his current barian strength in that punch, and it began to shake the barrier.

"No! You are... you cannot be him" the guardian then suddenly uttered.

The barrier then broke, making the guardian disappear, and soon Alito was holding up this ruin's number card in his hand. He was smiling in triumph.

"You are mine!" He shouted cheerfully as the statue and everything around got destroyed. After all Alito needed suitable place for him to battle Yuma. That until he read the number cards effects. That made his eyes narrow.

"This number card is extremely powerful but using it will cost me dearly. I have to be willing to put everything on the line" he then mumbled to himself.

"Hey buddy! What are you doing here?!" a loud voice suddenly said and made Alito turn towards this person.

This human. Alito had a strange feeling that he had seen him before. Then it darned to him. He had seen him on one of the build boards around town, when he was passing through. Something with that he was some kind of hot shot duelist in some kind of tournament, and it made Alito smirk evilly. Of course I can have him take the risk for me.

"Nistro! What are you doing here?" another voice then spoke up.

Alito didn't need to look up to see who this was. He could recognize this voice anywhere. Yuma Tsukumo! He then turned towards them. It was really Yuma along with Astral. Zaira was not far away from them along with their friends, and she quickly joined them in the arena. This couldn't be better.

"Wait Alito?" Yuma then uttered rather stunned but then send him a cheerful grin "Long time no see. I am glad to see that you are okay. I was worried about what happened to you after our duel". At that Alito chuckled darkly.

"As you can see, I am perfectly fine. I have completely recovered, and I can't wait to step into the ring with you and have a rematch" He then replied.

He could feel how the number was vibrating in his hand and wanted to battle as well. However the risks were just too great.

"Someone set off explosives to get rid of the water in the lake. I think it may have been this guy Yuma" Nistro then told them and for a second he let his guard down. Which was all Alito needed.

"You are a duelist, right? Then you will love this card" Alito then said as he tossed the ruin's number towards Nistro.

He of course caught it along with the power of Barian's force since Alito was now holding it. Its light hit Nistro full force, making him now under Alito's control and the familiar barian symbol appear onto his forehead. Yuma and the others were of course completely taken back by it.

"Wait! No! What are you doing? Nistro!" Yuma then uttered rather shocked.

Alito would have loved the look on Yuma's face, hadn't it been for Zaira who was sending him one of her wolfy glares. It gave him goosebumps.

"Alito why have you taken control of Nistro's mind?" She then questioned.

"Wait taken control?" a purple haired girl he didn't know by name asked and were looking at him with cold eyes too "Wait who are you?".

"My name is Alito and I am one of the 8 barian emperors" he introduced.

"Wait you can't be a barian" the purple haired girl replied shocked and her eyes wandered over to Zaira for a sec, before they were locked on him again "Your associates left this world when Dr. Faker was defeated".

"Well now we are back and ready for a tag team duel" Alito then proclaimed and shrugged "Two of us against two of you".

"You expect us to fight Nistro?" the girl then questioned worriedly.

"Winning this duel is the only way to free him from Alito's mind control" Yuma filled her in as he pulled out his gazer and disk.

Alito couldn't keep himself from smiling. Soon he was going to duel and defeat Yuma. Sadly, not everything went according to plan, when Zaira suddenly placed a hand on his duel disk. It confused everyone around here. Even Alito himself.

"No Yuma. You are not dueling in this. Let me handle it. This is after all my duty as Astral's guardian" Zaira then stated and send him yet another wolfy glare.

"Wait you?" Yuma questioned rather confused.

"Hmm yes interesting indeed" Astral then added in and was staring at Zaira now "For whatever reason do you think you should be the one facing him?".

"Two reasons really. 1 So I can prove myself to everyone and 2 He really doesn't deserve dueling you two" Zaira explained which pissed off Alito big time.

"What? Why do I not deserve to duel Yuma?!" He then yelled up.

"We for starters, you brainwashed my friend" Zaira began and snort "Second, you are not behaving like yourself Alito. Where is the strong and courageous Alito who challenged me to a battle without any strings attached?".

"What?! I am courageous and strong!" Alito yelled up as he tossed another tantrum.

"I think you hit a nerve Zaira" he could then hear the purple girl from before state. She had raised duel disk too "Let's show these men how to battle".

"Welcome onboard Dextra" Zaira stated with a smile. Alito tsked annoyed at that.

"Okay fine. You will regret meddling in this" he then sneered back and looked over at Nistro, his now loyal puppet. "Change of plans. We have to defeat those two girls before getting to Yuma. Are you up for it?".

"All threats to barian world must be eliminated" was Nistro's only responds to that.

Zaira's p.o.v.

I looked determined as Alito accepted our challenge. Just like that. I guess Dextra was right when she said I hit a nerve, but to be honest I really didn't care there. I just couldn't let him duel. Not after he brainwashed Nistro. That was usually not Alito's style. When I had meet him back in Heartland city, he had been fierce, courageous and were not afraid to duel anyone regardless of the risks. Now however it was like he was a completely different person. A scary cowardly person. I don't know what happened to him in Barian world after he risked everything in his duel against Yuma, but whatever punishment he had gotten, it couldn't change a person that much could it? My thoughts instantly drew to Dumon, being their current leader and all. I just couldn't believe Dumon would be so cruel to his people. I just couldn't, even though it was weird that I was defending Barian world now too. Maybe it had something to do with that I was a barian too? I shook those thoughts out of my head. I had to focus. I had to duel. I had to come to the bottom of this, and the only way I could do that was with a duel. It always revealed a lot of your opponent.

"Wait hang on! Zaira, you and Dextra has never really faced any of the barians before. Let me handle it" I could then hear Shark say. That only made me growl rather annoyed. Didn't he really think I could handle myself out there?

"No Shark. Don't interfere" I could then suddenly hear Kite say "Let Zaira duel. She needs to prove herself, and Dextra has her own reason for battling. Let's leave it up to those two".

At that I send Kite a grateful smile. At least he believed in us here.

"Are you two ready?" I could then hear Alito say, "As soon as this is done and over with, I will finally duel Yuma and get my revenge!".

"Yeah don't count on it" I snort back rather annoyed. "Because you will lose here. Then I will finally figure out what's going on and why you controlled Nistro".

"Oh really? Well let me share something with you two then" Alito replied in a gleeful tone and walked over to Nistro and hit him slowly in the chest. "I need Nistro's help. He will be a valuable partner. In fact he will give this duel his all".

"What do you mean?" Dextra sneered back at him, which made Alito chuckle.

"You two will find out soon" he replied and tossed off his cloak and activated his duel disk and gazer.

Nistro activated his gear as well, and soon only Dextra and I were lacking. We both looked at each other and nodded a silent agreement, before w activated our gears as well. It was time to duel.

Nistro: 4000 Lp's.

Zaira: 4000 Lp's.

Alito: 4000 Lp's.

Dextra: 4000 Lp's.

"The barians must prevail, so I'll go first" Nistro then claimed and drew.

He started off his move by summoning "Heroic challenger ambush soldier" to the field in att mode. It was this level 1 monster with 0 att and defense points, which I found very suspicious. Why would he summon such a weak monster in att mode, even though it was the first turn of our tag duel? Furthermore, Nistro just ended his turn without doing much more. All which I found even more suspicious.

"What the heck are you two planning?" I asked but got of course no answer. It was not like they would just tell me their strategies after all. "Fine be that way. It is my turn!".

I drew and decided that I had to go all out this turn, in case any of them would have any surprises for me. I started off my move by summoning "Armor wolf" to the field, which was level 4 monster dressed in white armor. Then I activated the spell "Level exchange". By discarding a card from my hand I ccould summon a monster from my deck instead. It just needed to have the same level as the monster I discarded. I discarded my beast wolf in order to summon my "Werewolf hunter" to the field in att mode. It was also a level 4 monster. Then I of course overlaid both my monsters in order to xyz summon and bring out "Nb 24 Cyclone beast wolf". Cy of course greeted me and the others with a fierce growl of his, stating that he was ready.

"So that is your number eh Zaira? You never used that against me before. You must be worried" Alito taunted me with and grinned evilly. I just snort coldly at that.

"The one being worried should be you Alito" I then sneered back and looked at my number and companion Cy, before I tossed down a face down card, leaving me with only one card in my hand. "With Cy on my field, I can't lose".

"He-he if you say so Zaira. Just know that you can't win" Alito then stated and chuckled rather darkly "I guess it is my turn".

Then he drew as well. My eyes narrowed as I was staring intensely at him. If I wanted to know his game plan, I had to pay attention after all. Sadly, this move didn't really reveal anything, because all Alito did was placing a card and a monster face down on the field. I growled rather annoyed at that. What was their game plan here?

"It is my turn. I draw!" I could suddenly hear Dextra say and made me turn my attention towards her for now.

That I have never seen a girl this determined to draw. Dextra really was set on defeating Alito and free Nistro from his control, wasn't she? It made me hum a little. If I didn't know better, Dextra might even have feelings for Nistro, being partners and friends for so long, but that was of course only a theory.

"I place one monster face down and sets two cards facedown" Dextra then said and ended her turn as well.

I hummed rather thoughtful at that. Both Dextra and Alito seemed rather caution here at the start of the tag duel. Sure it was something I had expected Dextra to do, but not Alito. His last battle with Yuma, he had given his all and by using that weird counter strategy, he always had an extra card up in his sleeves but now, now he was totally different. Alito, what happened to you?

"Mistress, you got to focus on the duel" Cy then advised inside my head and shook me out of the many thoughts I was having.

He was of course right. The duel had after all just begun. Everyone was having something on the field. It was now that strategy was important. It could turn the duel in either ways after all.

"I draw and summon 'Heroic challenger clasp sword'" Nistro then stated and ones again summoned another level 1 monster.

Then he activated his ambush soldier's effect. Since it has been faced up on the field for more than one turn, he could tribute it to summon 2 more heroic challenger monsters from his hand. The only drawback was that all monsters on the field became level 1. However, I think that was Nistro's plan all along. He summoned "H.C. Double lance" and "H.C. Night watchman" to the field. He of course used all of them to Xyz summon since all his monsters now was level 1, to bring out the ruins number. Or at least I thought so. What another card could Alito have given him after all.

"With these three monsters I build the overlay network and xyz summon 'NB 54 Lion hart'" Nistro then told us as a giant lion warrior monster appeared onto the field.

It was of course a rank 1 monster, but what surprised me the most was its att and def points were only 100 points. That couldn't be right. Nistro went through all this trouble to summon it. It must have some hidden abilities.

"This must be the number from these ruins" Yuma then uttered from the sideline.

"It doesn't seem to be packing that much punch" Dextra added in. She did however look worried and who could really blame her.

"When Lion Hart is in attack mode, you can't destroy it in battle" Nistro then began explaining and then yelled "Go Lion hart attack Cyclone beast wolf!".

"Wait what? Are you completely lost it Nistro?" I sneered back rather annoyed. Cy was stronger than Lion Hart.

"Yeah it doesn't make any sense Nistro. You are setting yourself up to take 2400 points of damage" Dextra then said. He was trying to make Nistro see reason, before it was too late, but sadly he was still under Alito's full control.

"Lion hart's special effect activates" Was all Nistro said in reply "Now Zaira will take the same amount of damage that I do".

"Wait what?!" I uttered rather stunned and at the same time annoyed.

Cy could have stopped this battle earlier, but since it was now about to be executed, I couldn't do a thing. All I could do was watch as Cy and Lion Hart faced up against each other, hereafter both Nistro and I got send flying since we both took 2400 points of damage. I did however manage to keep my balance and landed on my feet. Almost like a cat, which I did find weird. I groaned slightly at that. It had hurt. A lot, but at least I did survive with few scratches here and there. Nistro however had seen better days. He had hit the ground pretty hard. I really hoped that he was going to be okay.

"Nistro?!" Dextra uttered rather worried thereafter she turned to me "Zaira are you okay? How did you handle this better than Nistro?". I shrugged a little.

"I think it has something to do with my heritage" I then mumbled and walked back to the duel at hand "Isn't it true, that Barians have higher pain tolerance Alito?".

"Hmm? How do you know about that?" Alito then questioned and shrugged "But True. That is one of the reasons we barians are far superior than humans".

"Wait, so it is true? Your intend to keep exchanging blows until one of you collapses?" Astral then uttered rather shocked and looked over at Zaira "I finally understand why Zaira didn't want Yuma participating. In the end he would not be able to handle all those blows".

"That's right. Except I can pound away without taking damage. Nistro will get thumped instead. As a puppet he is very useful and completely disposable" Alito then replied and chuckled rather darkly.

I on the other hand didn't say anything. I didn't answer any of their questions. Sure I knew Alito had something up his sleeve but never knew it was this extreme. That and for some reason Alito didn't know I was a barian. Not that I was gonna tell him, but still I wondered why. I mean Dumon, Vector and Mizar knew, so why didn't Alito? However what I did know was that Alito was being a big coward. A coward and a big jerk.

"Alito I can't believe you are battling that way. You wouldn't have sunk this low when we had dueled before" I could hear Yuma shout from the tribune.

"That was then Yuma. Now I will do anything to win!" Alito shouted back. I growled annoyed at that. I just couldn't wait to take him down.

A,N: Well that is the end for this part. I decided to split it once again. Do tell that I never have any idea on how long each chapter is going to be, only I know what I want to write. So yeah apparently became longer than I thought. That and not fully sure on the end of the duel yet. Or how it is going to end, so yeah decided to split it. Hope you readers are okay with it though.
