A,N: Hello my dear readers I am back and ready to continue Zexal. All the way to the end of book 3. Lucky you! This chapter is interesting. Mostly because Zaira barely has a point of view in it. But we do see ancient Zaira so hopefully that does make up for that. Have fun reading.

Dumon's p.o.v.

Dumon was staring down the foes he was about to face. It was Yuma and Astral and was a battle he knew would come eventually. Astral was the mortal enemy of Barian world and for some foolish reason, Yuma Tsukumo were fighting for their side. That alone was reason enough to battle them. The only good thing out of all this was that his beloved princess was here to witness it. Sure, Zaira had broken up with him and declared they were enemies, but that still didn't change his feelings for her. Killing Yuma and Astral would surely make her sad and Dumon was not sure he could bear it. To see her sad and maybe accusing face... well he was happy she was not here.

"Are you ready to duel Yuma?" Dumon questioned as he began raising his duel arm and create his duel disk.

"But Dumon, I am not so sure we are enemies!" Yuma shouted back fiercely and made the grey barian stop up for a second.

"Why would you doubt that?" Dumon then questioned.

"Because you saved us. Back there at the underground temple. In the pegasus ruin" Yuma responded quickly "If it wasn't for you, I am not sure we would have made it".

"You misunderstand my actions. From the very beginning it has been our destiny to battle" Dumon responded in a fierce tone "The only reason I helped you at that temple was because of her...".

"Because of Zaira you mean?" Astral hummed slowly "Because she is a barian".

"That is correct. Zaira is one of us. No matter how much you are trying to trick her into fighting for you" Dumon responded in a very cold tone "One day she will remember me and then it is game over for you Astral".

"But Dumon, don't you see, Zaira doesn't want to battle any of you either" Yuma tried reasoning "When she fought Alito, she was not the top of her game, and I understand why. I mean the legends tell me you are all humans. Just like me. So, the way I see it you and your pals should be our friends. Not my enemies. I know you and Zaira feels the same".

"You do not know what you speak of" Dumon huffed back "Yes, I agree that Zaira is not my enemy, but you! I do not think so. Besides, anyone who believes we used to be humans are clearly mistaken. Make no mistake about this Yuma. Barian world is the mortal enemy of Astral world!". At that Yuma looked from Astral to Dumon.

"What is the beef between you two? Do you even know why you are going after each other?" Yuma then questioned in a fierce tone. At that Dumon snort.

"The Why is not important! What's important is my mission to destroy Astral world" Dumon proclaimed rather fiercely. A statement that made Astral glare intensely back.

"I too have a mission. To destroy Barian world" he then stated.

Shark's p.o.v.

In the meantime.

Shark: 200 life points.

Abyss/Rio: 4000 Life points.

Shark groaned slightly as he got up from the ground. Abyss's last attack had left he rather shaken, but then again, he had 200 life points remaining while his opponent still had all of theirs. He really was in deep waters. That last attack nearly wiped me out. That however was the last thought he managed, before Rio's eyes glowed again and he was hit with the same weird sensation.

He once again found himself once again in ancient times. This time he was sitting at the throne in the throne room. His supposedly subjects were all either kneeling or standing in the background and wait they were waiting for his orders? Oh, great I am back here again. Why does Abyss keep on doing this to me?!

"Your majesty. A new report from the battlefield" One of the kneeling guards stated as he looked extremely sad down at the floor "Unfortunately it is not a good one. It's become clear that our army is outmatched. Vector's gorgons have overpowered our forces and it is only a matter of time until his troops will be here to storm your castle. Unless you will do something to stop him, Vector will destroy our land and imprison us all".

At that Shark snort annoyed. Why was he even here? This battle had nothing to do with him.

"What do you expect me to do?" He responded in a harsh tone.

"Brother?". Shark could see his sister stare at him with bewilderment. "We are all depending on you to lead us". Shark rolled his eyes at that statement.

"I can't" he replied firmly.

"You have to! Your people are depending on you to protect and defend them. It is your duty as their leader!" Rio firmly stated. All which enraged Shark even more.

"Go protect and defend yourself. Get this straight! I am not their leader!" He yelled back.

"Your... majesty?!" the guards got out in surprise.

"Brother! How can you say such a thing?! Of course, you are our leader" Rio tried reasoning with him "You are the one who brought all the surrounding nations together. You're the one who has kept the peace for so many years".

"No way. You got the wrong guy" Shark responded.

He was taken back by his sister's words. There was just no way he could be able to do such a thing.

"Do it!" a voice then suddenly shouted and made Shark turn his head.

In front of him was this giant mirror, and he could see himself in it. An almost normal image was staring back at him. The difference, however, was that it had blue eyes and were smirking evilly at him.

"This is a journey you must see to the end. If you can win a duel in your world, you can win a battle here. Unless you are too afraid".

Shark was staring at the image in pure disbelief now. That until he realized it was Abyss who had been speaking to him. Enraged over the action and the words he had been saying, Shark slammed his fist into the mirror. It of course began cracking rather loudly.

"I am never afraid!" Shark then yelled rather loudly, which of course got the attention of his men and his sister. They were literally staring as his fight with the mirror ended.

"Your highness?".

"Brother are you okay?" Rio also questioned in a worried tone.

"I am no emperor, but I am no loser either" Shark mused to himself as he were still glaring at the mirror. It gave him an idea. "Send reinforcements and stop the invaders!".

Shark soon found himself back at the duel in the real world. All which annoyed him deeply. Sure, he didn't want to be in that other world, but it didn't fit him one bit that Abyss could just send him back and fought as he pleased. More mind games. Why is this guardian doing all this? Was this how Zaira felt when she was dueling Tala? Shark clenched his fists. He really didn't care about why. All he wanted was to defeat Abyss and save his sister. Rio had just ended her turn, so Shark was up. I gotta find a way to take out that Gorgonic Guardian before it takes me out. Wait, Rio's card that I found in the labyrinth. It can get me out of this. As long as I am able to draw it now.

"My turn I draw!" Shark stated and drew. As luck so happens, he had drawn the spell card he needed, and he activated it right away. It was called "Freezing Point" and it reduced the att points of Gorgonic guardian all the way down to 0.

"Now your monsters att points drop all the way down to 0" Shark informed Abyss "And since its second ability destroys any monster with 0 attack point, your monster's own ability is taking itself out". Shark looked rather satisfied when Gorgonic Guardian did just that and got sent to the graveyard, leaving Abyss/Rio wide open for an attack.

In the ancient times, Shark managed the same result against Vector's gorgons. He had along with him men equipped themselves with mirror shields, which enabled them to use the gorgons' own power to turn themselves to stone and destroy themselves. Kinda like the legend of medusa if you think about it. 

"How am I doing so far Abyss?" Shark replied confidently. He continued his move by summoning "Depth Shark" to the field in att mode. It was a level 5 monster with 1400 att and 0 def, but since Shark controlled no monsters, he could summon this without tribute. He of course used it to attack Abyss directly, and soon Rio alias Abyss was down to 2600 life points. Shark ended his turn with a face down.

Mizar's p.o.v.

Mizar was pacing back and fought. Back and fought for the mullioned time. Or Mizar guessed that was how many times he had done that since arriving in barian world. His distress was clear as day. Properly the reason the servants had stirred clear of his path. After all none of them wanted to be his dragon's next meal. However, Mizar couldn't help it. It was his fault after all. He was the reason she was unconscious and his nagging conscious were getting the better of him so to speak.

"Beverage?" A voice suddenly said as a cup were in front of him that looked suspiciously like tea. Chillia send him a little smile as she continued "You look as if you need it my lord".

"What are you doing here? Weren't you supposed to watch...?".

"I am and so are you" the female interrupted "I just thought a beverage would calm your nerves and mine. Besides 5-minute break doesn't change anything".

"If that how you work, I am not sure I should have rehired you" Mizar mused in a cold tone, but he did take the cup.

Then his eyes flickered to the person sleeping in the bed and sighed deeply. He sat the cut down on the nearest table and for once decided to sit down in the nearest armchair. He let out yet another sigh. Right now, they were currently in a light magenta room mixed with golden colors. Her room so to speak, which didn't really help Mizar in his guilt. It just made it worse.

"Dumon is so going to kill me when he gets back" Mizar mused and sighed "I went against his orders. Maybe he really will toss me in the dungeon".

"Not if Lord Vector finds out about this first" Chillia mused as she sat down on the chair in between Mizar and the bed. "You know how he is when it comes to the empress. You will wish he had killed you". Mizar growled in displeasure.

"Why isn't she waking up?! I didn't even hit her!" he then yelled up.

"Fatigue my lord. Your actions exhausted her completely" Chillia replied and sighed "That and barian world's power does not heal her for a weird reason".

Mizar growled annoyed. That he already knew. That was why he had given her his Lapiz to wear. All they had to do was waiting for her to wake up. After the events that happened in the woods, Mizar decided to bring Zaira back with him to barian world. Sure, he knew Zaira got weakened being here, but where else should be bring her? His distrust for humans were still an issue and he was terrible at first aid. At least here she could get some treatment for a while. Until either Vector or Dumon returned. Mizar had not yet decided if he were gonna hightail it out with Zaira or telling the truth. He was an honorable man, and surely Galaxy eyes could keep Vector at bey, but if the other emperors did gain up on him, he didn't stand a chance against their full might. Mizar sighed. Guess only time would tell what his actions would be.

"Lord Mizar if I may" Chillia began and got his attention "Why did you target the princess and tried to... well hurt her? You are her sensei. Is it because she broke up with lord Dumon?". At that Mizar snort coldly. It was none of her business. That said it could help him get over the guilt he was feeling. Chillia served him so...

"It is because I am her sensei that I did what I did" Mizar mused out slowly "Zaira was my student. I taught her everything I know, and even though she now titled as one of the emperors, I do feel responsible for her actions. It is a teacher's job to lead their student, so they go down the right path. Zaira strayed from her path by turning against us. It is my obligation to remedy the error by eliminating her".

"But in the end, you couldn't do it my lord. That is saying something" Chillia replied and send him a happy smile "I am grateful you didn't kill her".

Mizar growled annoyed at that. He would never admit that he was happy too. After all, in the end he couldn't kill her. He had the opportunity, but when Zaira spoke those words 'Mizar sensei', it had stirred up all sort of memories he just couldn't ignore. Besides, if she remembered him and the relationship they once had, that could mean she were recovering. Dumon was right. One day Zaira would return to them. They just had to be patience. A patience he recalled he might have lost recently.

"Just focus on getting better kiddo" Mizar then said. It was directed to the sleeping Zaira more than anyone else. It was words he had used before once a long time ago. "I will be there when you wake up. I will take the repercussions".

Astral's p.o.v.

Astral was staring down Dumon. He had each just claimed what their mission was. Dumon wanted to destroy Astral world and Astral himself wanted to destroy Barian world. Even if it was that world Zaira was from. It was his mission. However, at the same time he did find Yuma's actions admirable. That boy never seems to stop surprising him it seems. Of course, Yuma of all people wanted to become friends with the barians rather than fight them. That was a trait he admired in Yuma. His drive for dueling and his love for his friends were admirable too, and sometimes Astral wished he had Yuma's innocent way of thinking. If he had he might come up with a reason to stop all the fighting, but alas that was not possible. It was clearly stated in the way Dumon was acting towards them right now.

"The time for talking has passed. It is time for us to duel" Dumon proclaimed.

"Dumon, before we battle. I want to ask you one question" Astral then said. After all he was not sure he would get this answer when they were dueling. "There are 8 barian emperors, Zaira being one of them, but there is 2 we have yet to meet. Who are they?". Astral could see how Dumon's hands tightened all of the sudden. ¨

"They are Marin and Nash. They are the leader of the seven barian emperors" Dumon replied fiercely.

Astral was about to ask more into this, when suddenly a strange light appeared in the ocean sky. It looked like the phenomenon 'Aurora' Astral had read about in some of his books in Astral world.

"Hey look up there! What is that?" Yuma pointed out for the both of them which made Dumon turn around and look up at the aurora too. "It is Shark".

"It appears he is engaged with in a duel with someone" Astral added in as well.

"Yeah and it is Rio. This can't be good" Yuma mused as one of the pictures in the aurora showed just that. For some weird reason Shark and Rio was dueling against each other. Something Dumon also found very interesting.

"Why would they duel each other here?" Astral could hear him say before turning around and facing them once again. It was like he was making up his mind.

"You are lucky more pressing matters have come up. I will deal with you another time" Dumon then said as he got up in the air and flew towards the aurora.

"Hey wait!" Yuma uttered as he tried to follow Dumon, only to find himself fall down into the water all around them "Ah that's right. Fly away like the chicken you are. Come on Astral. Let's get to Shark and Rio".

"But in order to do that we have to escape through this labyrinth" Astral hummed slightly.

It was stupid to just wander aimlessly after all. then Astral noticed the water around Yuma and the current who lead to who knows where. He turned his gaze back to the water who was breaching through the hole Dumon made, and something occurred to him. The water that is flowing must lead somewhere.

"Yuma we must act. Do you have a monster who can paddle?" Astral then asked.

"This is no time to go canoeing" Yuma began complaining but Astral stopped him.

"I disagree. It is the perfect time" Astral then stated.

Soon they had summoned "Stinging swordsman" and let the little monster sit on its card as it was following the current. After all the water must lead somewhere, and that place could only be the exit. Or so Astral hoped.

Normal p.o.v.

Rio/Abyss: 2600 Life points.

Shark; 200 life points.

At the top of the Maja pyramid Dumon had just arrived and were now witnessing the duel between Shark and Rio. It was currently Rio's turn.

"It is my turn. I draw" Rio stated as she drew a card from her deck.

"First things first" Shark stated fiercely as he interrupted her "My Shark's special effect is activating. During your turn, its att points are doubled". (1400-2800 att)

"There is no chance I am going to lose this duel" Shark proclaimed rather fiercely.

"I beg to differ brother" Rio stated as her eyes glowed.

She activated the spell "Gorgonic Ritual" from her hand. By banishing a rock type monster from her grave, like "Gorgonic Guardian", she was then allowed to bring back two rock type monsters from the graveyard in def mode onto her field. She chooses "Gorgonic Gargoyle" and "Gorgonic Golem". Next, she activated the spell "Gorgonic Pile" which allowed her to increase their levels equal to the number of Gorgonic monsters she was controlling. Since she had two and her monsters were currently level 3, they both rose to become level 5 monsters. Shark hissed annoyed at that.

"I see where this is going" he then stated. She was going for an xyz monster.

"Now brother, let's revisit your memories" Rio then suddenly said and her eyes glowed. The vibrations from her once again hit Shark.

Earlier in ancient times.

"Bahahaha look at them run. Those cowards. The agony! The screams! It is such a delicious sight" Vector uttered in manic cheerfully voice now as he was watching the events unfold in front of him. The mad ruler was sitting on his throne at the main ship and enjoying the sight completely. He had never been this thrilled before.

"Yes! Turn everything to ash! Turn them to stone. Give me more agony. Let the foolish king Nash know true torment before he surrenders to me!".

"You seem to be enjoying yourself brother" a voice spoke, making the insane ruler turn towards it.

First with anger in his eyes. He didn't want to be disturbed, but when he saw who it was, it changed to happy glee.

"Ah Zaira, my dear sister. Come, come sit down and enjoy the festivities with me".

He pointed at his throne, his father's throne, who only had enough space for him really. Vector did mean to advance it, so his beloved sister to sit beside him, but he hadn't had the time to do so yet. Maybe he would steal Nash's throne when he won the war? However, until then Zaira had to sit on his brother's lap. Not that Vector had anything against that. He liked the closeness. Zaira send him a smirk before shaking her head.

"Maybe another time dear Nii san. I am here as your general" Zaira responded and bowed respectfully "I have a proposition for you".

"Hmm do tell my dear" Vector said as he leaned his arm at the armrest of the throne "If this is anything about our spoils of war. You know I would grant you anything".

"Let me take some of our men and lead a surprised attack on Nash's kingdom".

"And why would I let you do that my dear. You do know how I feel about you are endangering yourself" Vector mused slowly "Besides, there is no need for that. Our Gorgons are ruthlessly diminishing Nash's weak army as we speak".

"I heard a little whisper around that Nash has come up with a strategy against our gorgons" Zaira responded confidently "You know my entail are never wrong".

"Ah, but even if that is true, I do have a surprise up my sleeve". Vector chuckled darkly at that now. He was proud over his achievements in subduing the god of the seas.

"And if you are letting me lead the forces, we can triple the outcome of success" Zaira pointed out and bowed once again "I beg you Nii-sama. Let me do this for you. I can't stay cooped up like this. I need to fight. I need to taste blood...".

"Oh, my dear sister. Begging doesn't suit you" Vector responded.

He made her come closer and soon he was having a tight grip in her chin. Soon they were eye to eye.

"Do not bow down to anyone else, but me Zaira. Don't let any defeat you and we got a deal".

Zaira's eyes lit up like Christmas and as soon as he had let go of her, arms wrapped around him since Zaira was hugging him.

"Oh, thank you! Thank you Nii-sama! I won't let you down".

"You are my priced general. Go capture Nash for me my dear".

"Of course, Nii-sama. Consider it done".

Time skip.

"Master Vector, our enemies are using their mirror shields to destroy our Gorgons one by one. They launched a counterattack. At this rate, our army...".

"Silent your impudent fool. My Sister and I took everything into account" Vector hissed in an angry tone as a maniac smirk appeared on his face. "There is nothing that can stop me from defeating these enemies. They may think they are winning, but they will soon find that they never stood a chance. Appear before me now my mighty menace!".

As Vector shouted those last words, the water around the ship began to glow, and out of the waters a mighty creature appeared that had the king of the lands of Poseidon stare in awe and horror...

In the real world, Rio was preparing for an xyz summon with her two monsters.

"Now brace yourself brother" she stated as she overlaid her two level 5 monsters "I xyz summon, appear number '73 Abyss splash'".

Shark were staring in awe as this rank 5 monster with 2400 att and 1400 def points appeared onto his sisters' field. It was a mighty warrior dressed in blue and golden armor. His sole appearance made the vibrations of the past run wild, and they were not only hitting Shark now, but also Dumon and Astral, who were a little further away. Both of them got transported back into to the past as well and were staring in awe at the scene before them.

Vector had also summoned Abyss splash in that realm. It was like it was mirroring the duel Shark was having in the real world.

"Am I witnessing the legend as it happened?" Astral questioned bewildered and looked around. His eyes widened as he saw a girl with orange hair on a little boat a bit far away. However, Astral could recognize the features for miles away "Wait is that Zaira? What is she doing in this legend?".

Dumon were at the same time looking around for clues to his missing friends and noticed Shark on one of the ships. That and the mysterious pendant he was wearing who could resemble a barian crest Lapiz.

A bit further away at the king's castle, Rio was watching the event unfold.

"With this mighty warrior by Vector's side. We cannot win. Our land will be doomed, unless I do what needs to be done".

Shark's p.o.v.

Abyss was attacking relentlessly, leaving calamity in its wake. Shark could only watch in horror as his men and ships were destroyed. He didn't know what to do. The whole situation seemed hopeless to him no matter how he looked at it. Then sounds of a whining horse could be heard, and at a bride to one of the harbors were Rio riding towards Abyss with determination shown in her eyes. She didn't stop for anything and were soon standing at the harbor meters away from the god. No matter how much Shark was shouting her name.

Shark soon found himself back in the real world and were looking in horror as his sister suddenly were radiating in a weird, strange color. She was even being lifted up in the air, by this strange force, and Shark could only feel the dread that rose in him.

"Rio! Rio! No!" he shouted rather hopelessly. He could do little of the situation.

"Reginald Kastle. I must know if you are the one, I seek and to do that I must unleash my full power" a dark male voice spoke as an entity who clearly had been the one controlling Rio emerged down from the stairs Rio had been standing at.

He looked much like the number card he was facing, and it didn't take Shark long to realize that was Abyss's guardian form. Besides the beard he was having.

"Witness the true form of Abyss Splash" Abyss introduced himself as.

"You!" Shark sneered in an angry tone. He would have said a lot more hadn't it been for Abyss activating his number's ability. By using one Ou it att points were doubled.

"4800 att points?!" Shark hissed. His Depth Shark only had 2800 and with only 200 life points remaining... if this attack succeeded, Shark was done for.

"The end of the duel is at hand Reginald. Go Abyss Splash attack depth shark with final fall!" Abyss shouted and made his monster attack.

Luckily, Shark was prepared for it. He activated his face down trap card "Hide and Shark". Since he ha less than 2000 life points, he could pay half his life points (200-100) and then banish his Shark to end the battle phase. Sure, Shark survived, but he still got sent flying by his own trap because his life points went down. Right now, he was lying groaning at the ground. He could however hear Abyss splash snort at him though.

"You barely managed to survive" the guardian mocked.

"But at least I did" Shark hissed back as he began getting up on his feet.

He did however first activate the second effect of his trap. His Depth Shark returned to the field and gained att points equal to the life points Shark lost, which was 100 points. His Shark rose to 1500 now. That along with that Abyss splash ended his turn, so number 73 att points went down to 2400.

"I see your Shark lives to fight another fight, as do you Reginald Kastle" Abyss then stated, "But know this, you will not emerge from this duel victorious".

Shark once again found himself back in ancient times, and things had gone from bad to worse. Right now, Rio was captured by Abyss Splash to Shark's horror.

"Ha-ha. It will be a good idea to surrender now" Shark could hear Vector singsong in the background. Along with his insane laugher "If you don't your sister is going for a nice long swim". Laughter followed again as a portal appeared in the waters underneath. Abyss were holding Rio over it to finalize the threat. If his sister fell in there, who knows what would happen. Nothing good surely. A whiny horse scream could be heard however, as a flying horse with its rider, entered the battlefield.

"What is Dumon doing here?" Shark questioned bewildered as he followed the rider with his eyes. The flying knight chuckled at that.

"Why are you so surprised my friend? Didn't you know that I would come to your aid when you got into trouble?" Dumon then said.

"I... I didn't know you were my friend" Shark responded slowly.

"What are you waiting for?! Shoot them down!" Vector shouted as he made his archers fire arrows at Dumon and his pegasus. When that didn't help, since Dumon were dodging every single arrow, Vector instead turned his attention to Shark.

"Make your choice. Do you want to save your sister or your people?!" He then demanded to know. A dilemma Shark of course couldn't answer.

"Do not fret my brother. Because I will make the choice for you" He could then hear Rio say as she was looking down at him with sad eyes.

"Rio! You can't mean...!" Shark uttered in pure distress.

"I do Brother. I will offer up my own soul to Abyss in order for you to claim Victory" Rio stated as jumped into the portal below. Her actions however purified Abyss from Vector's control and even summoned another god to fight by their side. Not that Shark cared about that at the moment. He was shouting his sister's name almost endlessly in hopes that she would come back to him.

In the background Astral and the barian Dumon were witnessing the events unfold and they both made the same observation. Could Rio and Shark be the barians Nash and Marin?

"So, these are... my memories?" Shark uttered rather shocked. He was back in the real world, lying on his knees and were progressing everything he had seen.

"Could it be I wasn't able to save my sister?" Shark questioned horrified.

"And history will repeat itself, when you fail to save your sister once again" Abyss stated as the stairway behind him crumbled "Your journey is over. As is Rio's. I no longer have need for her". Just like in ancient times the whirlpool portal Abyss had summoned, appeared underneath Rio now. To Shark's horror.

"Take a good long look on your sister Reginald Kastle. This is the last time you will ever see her" Abyss said as he dropped Rio down towards the whirlpool.

Shark were fighting his limp body as he was trying to get up and rescue his sister. However, considering everything that had just happened, and all that he had seen, Shark just couldn't find the strength to get up. He couldn't save Rio!

"Rio!" Another voice then shouted as a lobster haired boy ran past Shark and jumped grabbing a hold on Rio and tumbled forward, escaping the whirlpool all together.

"Don't worry. I got Rio covered Shark. You can beat this guy no problem" Yuma replied and send him a cheesy grin. Both him and Astral had of course reached them now. All which made Shark sigh relieved. His sister was okay.

"But Yuma..." Shark began questioning.

He had no idea how to defeat Abyss Splash. That until a number card were suddenly glowing in front of him. Shark had a feeling he knew where it came from and were sending Rio a little smile. With her help he would win this duel.

Things went pretty quick from here. Shark drew and used the spell "Aqua Mirage" which he equipped to "Depth Shark". By doing so his Shark and the spell counted as two monsters when overlaid. Then he activated "Monster reborn" to bring back "Black Ray Lancer" from the graveyard. He also activated his face down trap called "Full Armored Xyz". With it he could equip an xyz monster with another xyz monster on his field. Like his Black ray lancer, before he finally overlaid his two sharks to summon the number Rio gave him. "Number 94 Crystalzero". It was also a rank 5 monster with 2200 att and 1600 def points and Shark of course summoned it to the field in att mode. The effect of "Full armored xyz" kicks in and made Black ray lancer equip itself to Crystalzero. All which raised the monsters att points all the way up to 4300. Abyss activated his numbers effect, used an Ou and made his att points double. It rose all the way up to 4800 again and were currently the stronger monster. But not for long, since Shark activated Crystalzero's effect. By using one Ou he could halve the attack points of Abyss splash. Shark of course used both of his monster's Ou and made Abyss splash's att point down to only 1200. Shark of course attacked and ended up winning the duel.

"Yes! Awesome win Shark!" He could hear Yuma cheer from the background. However, he really didn't care much about it. Instead he was fixated on Abyss.

"Why? Why did you do this to me and Rio?" he then questioned.

"I only followed your orders Reginald. Your orders to awaken your memories" Abyss told him "It is your destiny to lead the world as its rightful ruler. Remember that".

That was the last thing Abyss said before turning into a card and land in Shark's hand. Clearly stating that he was his number now.

"I gave no such order!" Shark sneered as he was glaring down at the card.

Fog began to appear around them and before they all knew it, they were all back at Astral's airship, where a worried Tori were waiting for them. Shark, however, were only interested in Rio who was lying on the Ship's deck and were unconscious.

Zaira's p.o.v.

Around the same time.

I woke up rather groggy and the first thing I saw was the color yellow. That followed by the sounds of footsteps, woke me up from my slumber pretty quick. I blinked several times. Just to make sure I wasn't hallucinating and after several attempt I realized this was really true. Mizar was actually piggybacking me. As unreal as it looked or sounded. What surprised me even more was that I was alive. Last time we met he were trying to kill me. What was going on here?

"Seems like you are finally awake kiddo" Mizar then in a firm tone.

"Mizar... sensei. I don't understand. Why am I here? Weren't you about to kill me?" I questioned very puzzled. That with him still piggybacking me even though I was still awake, left many unanswered questions here.

"I lost my patience with you kiddo. I was foolish I admit" I could hear muse "Your actions towards the war and Dumon. I brought you here so you could heal".

"I am sorry. I broke my promise" I mused slowly and shook my head a little. The event from before had me still shaken up a little. To know that Mizar was or were my teacher once had me a bit baffled to be honest. It was no wonder I was stubborn...

"Don't be. I shouldn't have lost my patience with you. Even if you are fighting for the Astral world" Mizar replied and huffed "Dumon is right. You lost your memories and don't have a choice in the matter".

At that statement I looked puzzled at the yellow barian. What did he mean by that? No choice. But in the end, I let it slide. There was more important matter to discuss. Like where I was or where we were actually going. I knew we were in a corridor in barian world. The crystals at the wall was a big giveaway, but where we exactly were still had me pounding.

"You can put me down now sensei. I can walk by myself" I then said.

"No can't do kiddo. You twisted your ankle earlier in our battle. I am not taking any chances" Mizar replied proudly "They will kill me if anything else happens to you".

"Oh okay" I replied rather puzzled and suddenly lit up when another picture entered my mind "Wait, you have carried me like this once before haven't you sensei?".

"Yes. It is ironic how things are repeating themselves" Mizar said and sighed deeply "I had lost my patience with you back then as well. You ran away and ended up hurt there too. I had to carry you like this as well".

"I did? I don't remember" I mused thoughtfully.

"Well it doesn't really matter anyway" Mizar said as he stopped up "We are here". I looked puzzled around and found us standing in front of a door. A gray door to be exact. Confusion were all around me. Why did he carry me all the way here?

"This is Dumon's room" Mizar explained as he put me down "I was going to send you back to Earth but decided against it. You need to see something first".

"In Dumon's room?" I questioned in disbelief "Isn't that illegal entering when he is not here?". Mizar hummed innocently at that.

"Yes" He then admitted "And I am sure he also has a fail system of some kind since Vector broke in once to pull a prank on him. We have about 10 seconds before he knows we are here. However hopefully he is occupied elsewhere".

That was the only warning I got before Mizar slammed the door open and entered the room. I did follow him rather slowly, and when I entered the room Mizar was already into a full search of something. Whatever he was looking for, it must be important if he was risking a break in, in someone else's room?

"If I were Dumon, where would I keep it?" Mizar mused as he was literally searching the whole place extremely quickly.

He did let out a little victorious growl when he pulled out a grey box from beneath the bed. That was all he did manage before a voice spoke at the threshold of the room.

"Who dare enter... Zaira? And Mizar. What are you two doing here?" Dumon questioned as he was glaring down both of us. More Mizar than me really? Something I was extremely grateful for.

"Ah Dumon you appeared sooner than I expected" Mizar replied and hid the box behind him. I rolled my eyes. It was not like Dumon couldn't see it really.

"Why are you two here?" Dumon repeated his question as he walked inside the room and cornered us "And why is Zaira back in our world? You know it makes her sick. You better have a good explanation Mizar!".

"Oh, Dumon" Mizar replied and were holding the box in front of him "You know full well why I am here. I am here to make Zaira remember".

"How dare you!" Dumon hissed as he walked over to Mizar and grabbing the box from him "Breaking in and stealing someone's belongings is not like you Mizar!".

"I was doing you a favor Dumon" Mizar hissed back "She remembers me now. I thought I could do the same thing for you".

"We broke up! Making Her remember will only cause pain. Pain I do not wish to inflict on her!" Dumon hissed furiously. I could see his gaze flick between me and Mizar "Sent her back. Sent her back Mizar or so help me find a suitable punishment for you".

He had just said that when the lit fell off and all the content in the box fell out. I bit my lip as a realized Mizar had deliberately turned the box upside down before giving Dumon it. The panic that showed in the gray barians eyes were priceless and be bowed down and picked up several items. Most of them being pictures. One of them landed in front of my feet and I of course bowed down to picked it up. My curiosity was awoken so to speak. I noticed Dumon as barian in it right away. His eyes looked happy. Then my gaze found the second person on the picture. Clearly female and barian. She was having white wings and long orange hair and... Dumon snatched the picture out of my hands with quick moments, but I already seen enough to put two and two together. No matter how much he wanted to hide the truth from me.

"Who is she? The girl in the picture" I asked in a firm tone.

"No one Zaira. Go home" Dumon replied rather quickly.

"Is she me? Is that my barian form?" I continued asking "Give me the box Dumon!".

"No! They are my belongings. They have nothing to do with you" he countered.

"Says you, when there clearly are pictures of me in it!" I hissed back "I wanna know what else you are keeping in there".

"So what? You are not a barian any longer Zaira. You made your choice!" Dumon sneered back "Why would I show you my memories of a relationship you don't even value any longer?".

My eyes widened at that statement. So did Dumon's since he clearly had spoken over him. Pain ran through me as I realized what he was keeping in there. Memories of us? That's what Mizar wanted to show me, to remember Dumon and the relationship we once shared. I could hear Dumon sigh deeply now.

"You choose Reginald over me. I understand your decision Zaira. I really do. Now you have to understand mine" he said as a hand roamed at my chest and pulled the yellow Lapiz Mizar apparently had given me off my chest. "Ignorance is bliss. Go be with your Reginald. He might need it".

Then he pushed me through the portal he had created behind me. The last thing I saw was Dumon's sad eyes.

A,N: Well that was that chapter. I am amazed I managed so quick. 4 days. It took me 4 days to write this. I must really want this chapter to be posted lol. I am proud of myself. Don't think I can do that with the next chapter. It is with Dark mist and that says a lot. However, hope you liked the chapter so far. Things are getting intense. Especially between Zaira, Dumon and Shark now. But what do you readers think? I would like your opinion. Who do you think Zaira ends up with in the end? Sure, she chooses Reginald for now, but that might chance with him being barian and all that. Lol. Please comment on what you think.
