Battles, memories and a lot of water. part 2.

A,N: Hello dear readers I am back and ready for updating lol. Just had a week vacation with my boyfriend, haven't seen each other in so long because of the corona, so didn't write at all. So sorry. Or not. Do not regret my decision at all. However, now I am back and ready to finish book 3 off for good. Only 3 chapters to go! Have fun reading.

Yuma's p.o.v.

In the meantime.

"Yuma! Yuma, wake up!".

He could hear a voice say and he groaned slightly, before opening his eyes, finding Astral and Shark beside him. Both of them looked worried at him, while Yuma took in his surroundings. The last thing he remembered was jumping into the ocean after Shark and Rio. There he had been swallowed up by a giant whirlpool of some kind. No wonder he lost consciousness.

"I... I must have dozed off" The lobster haired boy mumbled.

Soon he found white sand in his hand and let out a quick gasp. "Where... where are we?". His eyes gazed around to find something familiar, but all he could see was a white sandy ground and an extremely clear blue sky.

"I am not certain" Astral mused as well "I also lost consciousness when we were drawn into the whirlpool. However, it appears that we are beneath the bottom of the ocean". That made Yuma stare in bewilderment at the sky.

"So, wait, the ocean is like the sky" He uttered in surprise.

"And these footprints..." Shark then stated and pointed at the ground where these footprints were visible. "Rio is here too!".

That of course made the little group determined to find her, as they now followed the footprint in the white sand. Soon they noticed an ancient ruin in the horizon.

"Wow check it out" Shark said as this impressive ruin was in sight.

"Wow that thing is enormous" Yuma uttered stunned as well.

The group of course decided to go in. More because they didn't have a choice, since Rio's footprint led them in here, but what they saw left them in awe for at least a second. Giant walls and damaged blue tiles met their eyes. It was unlike anything they had ever seen.

"What do you think this is?" Yuma then questioned.

"Perhaps this place is a labyrinth?" Astral wondered out loud. Yuma nodded in agreement to that.

It fit the description perfectly. After all his father once told him about a ruined labyrinth. Yuma wondered if this was it. A squeaky sound from a bird could suddenly be heard, and it made Yuma turn instantly towards it. There, underneath it, were two shiny objects stuck in the marble. After a bit of effort, Yuma was soon holding two of his dad's coins in his hands.

"My dad's coins. That means the numbers must be here" Yuma uttered determined.

And with that determination the trio entered the labyrinth in search of Rio and the numbers. They were determined to find both of them.

"Rio has some kind of mysterious power" Shark then told them as they wandered the empty hallways "She can see things you and I can't. Just like before in the airship. I wouldn't be surprised one bit if what she saw let her to this place".

"I wish she could have seen something less spooky" Yuma replied as he shuttered a little.

This labyrinth gave him the creeps. He continued forward with Astral trailing along, and for a while silence were all around them. They just wandered aimlessly through this maze without a goal whatsoever. What they didn't know was that at some point they lost Shark to the endless maze of corridors.

"This labyrinth goes on forever" Yuma then pointed out and sighed deeply.

"Yeah I doubt we will find the exit if we continue to wander aimlessly" Astral pointed out. Yuma clapped his hands together in eagerness now.

"Well good thing I have a plan" He then said and sounded like a know it all suddenly "According to the book Zaira lend me called 'Third grade mazes solved easily', all you have to do is keep making left's or was it right's? I um never actually finished the book". All which made Astral sigh beside him.

"With you Yuma there are no left's or rights. Only wrong" he stated.

"Well... I am sure Shark knows how to get out right?" Yuma replied and turned towards where he believed his third teammate was, only to find no one there.

"Wait where did he go? Shark! Shark!" Yuma began yelling as he walked back the way they had come in, and not only could they not find Shark, but the entrance had disappeared somehow. It confused the lobster haired boy quite a bit.

"Something is weird here. We went back the exact same way we came in, but we still cannot find the entrance" he uttered in pure distress.

"I am afraid the normal rules do not apply in this labyrinth" Astral then stated "Unfortunately, we have been walking in circles this whole time".

"Say what?! That can't be true!" Yuma yelled out angrily.

"It is a fact. I never forget what I have seen" Astral said and placed his hand on a cracked mark on the wall "We have already passed this particular mark three times".

"But that means the entrance just disappeared somehow" Yuma uttered and looked rather bumped "That is not good".

That until Yuma decided that if this labyrinth was not applying to the laws of physics, then neither would he. Then he tried to climb up the walls, only to fall to the ground seconds later.

"Wait Yuma look up ahead" Astral then said and pointed at a weird phenomenon that was happening right in front of them. A wall suddenly began materializing itself in front of them and thereby cut off their current route. Just like that.

"Oh no we are all walled in" Yuma uttered in pure distress. "There is no way to get out now". Something Astral of course agreed on, which wasn't really that helpful.

"It is clear that this labyrinth is doing whatever it takes to interrupt our progress" Astral mused out. It only made Yuma panic more.

"I bet Shark is trapped like we are" he then said.

Shark's p.o.v.

Shark sneered annoyed as he was glaring down the empty corridors. Just like Yuma and Astral he was trapped within this weird magical labyrinth, that clearly was up to no good. All Shark wanted to do was find his sister and Yuma and get the hell out of here. The only thing he had accomplished was finding one of Rio's spell cards in the labyrinth before he was suddenly cut off from Yuma and Astral. A wall had materialized itself in front of his and literally forced him down another route. All which Shark was not appreciating. Not one bit. No one was forcing him to do anything! It didn't help that a certain weird voice was whispering in his ear, nudging him forward and encouraged him to come to them. Shark didn't stand for it.

"Show yourself! I never liked playing hide and seek!" Shark sneered as another corridor blocked itself off and forced him down the other corridor.

"Come!" the voice whispered, and Shark felt compelled to go down that road from where the voice was coming from.

He didn't really seem to have a choice so why wait. With fast steps he ran down the corridors, as the voice continued to become louder and louder, and soon he found himself in the middle of the ruin. A giant pyramid, who sort of looked like an old maya pyramid, were in front of them, and the voice encouraged him to walk up the stairs. Shark growled annoyed as he walked up to the top, finding himself on a platform, where he could see all of the labyrinth unfold underneath him. At a giant stone pedestal with stairs engraved in it, was a person standing. Her red eyes were glaring down at Shark. Even though she was dressed differently, Shark believed her attire resembled that of an ancient priestess, he still recognized her as his sister Rio. She wore a long hood on her head, white heeled sandals, a white dress and three gold rings on her legs. All which Shark found weird. In her hands she was having a shiny card, who Shark identified as a number.

"Rio you found one of the numbers?!" Shark then said. A weird blue aura appeared around Rio now, which confused her brother a big deal "What's wrong?!".

"I have been waiting for you a very long time Reginald Kastle" Rio then said with a morphed voice of her own and someone else. Someone ancient.

"Wait you are not Rio" Shark sneered as he glared down this entity. As he did that the blue aura around Rio expanded and took the shape of a bearded warrior clad in dark blue armor. He looked very imposing.

"No. My name is Abyss" The warrior then responded.

"Oh. So, you are a number guardian, and you used Rio to bring us here, didn't you?" Shark sneered out in an angry tone of voice.

"You are here because it is your destiny to battle me. Just as it was for your girlfriend when she faced Tala. Now I command the one who will inherit my powers to awaken" Abyss/Rio replied, which confused Shark quite a lot.

"I don't know what you are aiming for here, but I will be glad to battle you. Now let my sister go!" Shark sneered as he glared up at Abyss.

"Oh of course I will, but only if you can defeat me" Abyss replied as his blue aura retreated back into Rio, who was clearly his vessel right now.

"I will defeat you! I will do whatever it takes to get my sister back!" Shark hissed and activated his duel disk and gazer. Rio did the same thing, and soon a heated duel was about to happen.

Zaira's p.o.v.

Around the same time.

I ran and I ran. There was nothing more I really could do than run, unless I wanted to get hit by those blasts Mizar was sending after me. I didn't want to be reduced to energetic dust or whatever that was going to happen to me when the blast hit. I was not even gonna risk it. I did have a good life here on earth with Yuma and his friends. I didn't want it to end just because a yellow barian deemed me traitor and wanted to kill me. Why I knew he saw me as a traitor was easy really. Why else had he warned me and were now trying to kill me? That and it was clearly shown in his eyes. His murderous attempts were a big give away. It was in these situations you really know how good shape you were really in and I wished I had trained more. My legs were burning. In a quick attempt I hit behind a giant rock formation now. All to catch my breath for at least some seconds before I ran again. That and I needed to come up with something here. Anything! This could not go on forever. A loud thump could be heard as I heard Mizar land on one of the tree branches. Clearly scouting the area to see where I had scuttled off too. Sure, I could not see him at the moment, but I saw that as a good sign. That must mean he was not close by.

"Show yourself Zaira Wroom! It is cowardly to hide and you know it!" I could hear Mizar yell somewhere, who in my opinion was way too close for comfort.

I needed to come up with a plan and fast. My thoughts went to what I knew about the barians so far. From the entail from Dumon you needed your barian Lapiz to store up energy. Mizar's was at his chest right now and if I could hit it and damage it, I was sure he was unable to blast me any longer. Problem was how the heck I was able to get near him to even pull that off. He would blast me as soon as I was in sight. That was for sure. I also had a feeling Mizar would be able to sense my barian energy if I even tried to store up any, and then it was game over. That and he seem to be attacking from high attitude giving him a bird's perspective over everything. I was gazing around to see what options I had left. I was currently in a forest, not sure how much was left if Mizar kept this up though, but the terrain had been changeable into a rockier terrain now. I had a feeling the forest might be ending soon, which was good and bad news at the same time. Mizar did not have any branches to jump on soon, but it also limited my hiding places considerably. I only had two options left. Fight back or die. Sounds simple enough right? Or not. I could not create that kind of blasts. The only thing I had been able to do with my barian power was sensing and blocking. Then again, I could maybe bounce it back to him. Injure Mizar with his own energies. Well it was worth a shot. If I was going to die, I might as well be while I was fighting. It seemed more honorable.

"When you are standing face to face with a dangerously situation, always fight! Even if you know you are going to die. I would rather die with my pride, knowing I did my best than run away with a shattered pride, or run away as the coward I am".

I rubbed my head as the advice from the dream so long ago entered my head. It had been that time when Mizar first showed up with his stupid dragon. I had faced it head on and even made it behave. All because I fought it head on instead of running away. I groaned slightly as my head began getting dizzy. It felt like something was enveloping me in that moment. Was this a memory?

A yellow barian jumped through a desolated landscape. Rocks and hardcore ground were the only thing meeting this barian's eye, as he jumped from rock to rock in search of something. Or in this case someone. A loud roar got his attention and he rushed towards the sounds. A scene that was not to his liking met his eyes, and he glared with distasteful eyes at the girl and dragon down there.

"Who is a good dragon?" the girl praised the dragon as she petted its head with caring strokes and Mizar hissed annoyed as he glared down on the orange haired girl down there.

Dressed in a purple blouse and pants along with black boats were Zaira Wroom standing, and worse of all taming his dragon! Again!

"Zaira!" Mizar yelled making the girl flinch before she turned around looking up at him with an innocent smile, while trying to hide something behind her back.

"Oh, hello Lord Mizar. Didn't know you were here. What a pleasant surprise!".

"Zaira how many times do I have to tell you not to come here without my approval?!" The yellow barian hissed out in a scolding.

"But... But Tachyon were lonely" she tried defended.

"He is a wild ferocious dragon!" Mizar countered "He has to fend for himself and do not need a humanoid companion like you to tame him! And stop feeding him!".

He had just said that when Tachyon dragon grabbed the giant lunch of meat Zaira had hidden behind her back and ate it in one huge go. Mizar growled even more annoyed now. Zaira on the other hand were scratching her hair sheepishly.

"Ehehe ups" was her only responds now that the deed was already done.

Mizar sneered annoyed as he landed beside her, sending her a cold glare as he grabbed around her wrist.

"I told you time and time again that you are spoiling him too much!" Mizar scolded "He is NOT your dragon! He is mine! How can he become stronger when you baby him all the time?".

Zaira tried to seem like she was listening to him, but Mizar knew she would do this again. She was friendly with all the over 100 numbers, but for some reason she had taken a shine to His Dragon!

"Go do your chores before I report to Nash that you are slacking off again!".

"Hai Lord Mizar" she saluted and ran off before he could scold her again.

I gasped surprised as the memory ended. I was not sure what I was seeing here. Did I really feed his dragon in the past? It explained so much. Why the dragon was more scared of me than I of it. Although that still left so many questions. I mean Mizar didn't seem to be punishing me much in the memory, even though I disobeyed him. why was that? He was eager to do that now after all, so what changed? Because I broke Dumon's heart or was there more behind it?

"I found you!" I heard Mizar shout and instantly felt the energy rose in the air, as he fired another blast at me.

I acted on instinct and got out of the way pretty fast. I was running for dear life so to speak. Knowing Mizar, he would rapidly fire at me, and seconds later he didn't disappoint. He really intended to kill me here!

"I don't know what I have done wrong, but I am sorry!" I uttered as I dodged yet another blast "Why do you intend to kill me Mizar!".

I managed to jump over the nearest boulder. Guess the adrenaline were kicking in. I was sure I normally wouldn't be able to do this. That's for sure.

"You better off not knowing!" Mizar sneered "That is the only mercy I can grant you or will ever grant you".

I growled annoyed at that. That was no answer. That and what mercy was he talking about? Mercy to kill me? Spare me for future events? Energy rose around me as I managed to shield myself from one of his blasts and even redirected them. Not that it bothered Mizar much as he just sliced through his own blast. I had a feeling he of course knew its components being its creator and therefore could break it easily. I guess I had to blast him myself. Or at least die trying.

"I don't know what you are talking about! But I am sure Dumon would not be happy about you killing me!" I sneered as I tried building up energy for an attack.

I hoped that by talking to him I could distract him long enough for him to Not kill me. Mizar growled annoyed at that. Not sure it was because of our talk or because the landscape changed and left him without branches. My back hit another rock and for the time being I was safe. Or I hoped I was.

"You are right. I am looking forward to a sentence in prison when I return" I could hear Mizar hiss somewhere "However, I do not care about that Zaira Wroom. The deed justified the means. You should never have broken your promise to me".

"Promise...?" I was about to ask but covered my mouth.

Like I wanted him to find me just because I was curious. He was willing to risk being send to prison for killing me? That might sound like a mild sentence, but since Vector was my brother, it properly wasn't. If my brother and the insane prince from the ruins were one and the same, torture was properly unavoidable. That and what promise was he talking about? If I knew then I might could change his mind in killing me. I bit my lip as I tried to move around in stealth mode. That didn't go as well as I hoped. A rock I hadn't seen made me trip, and even worse made me twist my ankle in painful matter. I was trying to cover my mouth because of the scream that tried to leave my lips. However, everything was futile as Mizar landed in front of me seconds later. His stoic expression showed on his face as an energy blast assembled in his right hand.

"This is for your own good Zaira" he said as the energy blast were millimeters away from my face now "Hope you one day can forgive me".

Tears welled down my cheeks now. I didn't want to die! I wanted to live. Where was the justification in killing me anyway ? Then suddenly, like before, something, maybe light, were enveloping me and another memory began showing itself.

It was night in barian world. Little light was shown in the glowing orb they here called the sun, even though it looked more like a black hole with light in it. However, regardless it being night, there were still enough to see without wandering lost in the darkness. In a garden somewhere outside the barian palace was a girl standing, leaning at one of the floating crystals. She seemed to be lost in thoughts and worry was clear in her purple eyes. Something was clearly bothering her.

"Zaira? What are you doing out here?" a voice suddenly said and startled the female. She turned around and accidentally hit the stranger in the head with her white feathers.

"Ah I am so sorry" She apologized as the stranger being the yellow barian lord Mizar pushed the wings away himself. She continued "I am just not used to the wings yet and I forgot them, and... and I am really sorry Lord Mizar". She bowed in apology to him.

"Just Mizar kiddo. You are after all one of us now" Mizar replied and tapped her head in a caring matter "Mind tell me why you are out here, instead of being at the festivities. We are after all celebrating your honor in becoming a barian lord...".

"I um I..." Zaira replied hesitantly. She was not sure what to say really.

"Let me guess, when you finished your trial, your door was giving you a lot to think about" Mizar then said and hummed "It happened to all of us really...".

Zaira looked surprised up at the yellow barian lord, who was right now staring up in the dark sky.

"You... you too?" Zaira questioned and then sighed "Guess it is no surprise since all of the emperors have a door that enhances their barian powers...".

"Yes, so mind telling me what is bothering you kiddo?".

"Well um the door told me that following my heart would or could have repercussions in the future" Zaira then mused out slowly. She sighed deeply.

"I don't know what to do Mizar. I really don't".

"Don't fret about it Zaira. The door tells us all meaningless babble" Mizar replied and hummed when he saw her hopeful eyes look up at him "My door was not any better. It spoke of a rival who would lead my goals astray in my pursuit of him. Nonsense if you ask me. I lived for over hundreds of years, and I never crossed paths with such a character. Besides no one can defeat me or my Tachyon dragon".

"Yes, that is true" Zaira mused slowly "But what if my door speaks the truth. It is just, I don't know how Not to follow my heart. I mean it is part of me and... I am so confused".

"Don't be" Mizar reassured. He placed a hand on her shoulder "Just stay the way you are. Don't give it a second's thought. Your lone existence gives us hope. If your heart gives us repercussions, then so be it".

Zaira sighed again as her hand roamed around on the crystal.

"You sound like Nash. It does not help on the pressure I am under" She sighed again. "That is another reason I am out here. Cannot handle Nash or My brother. Well everyone. You expect so much from me. Nash even states 'I am an angel send to barian world'. How can I live up to that?".

"By staying true to yourself and Barian world no matter what happens" Mizar replied and were now staring eye to eye with Zaira "Live one day at a time and stay true to our cause. I want you to promise me that Zaira. For the sake of barian world".

"I promise...".

I was staring in awe as the memory ended. Now the tears were running twice as fast down my cheeks. Not that Mizar noticed the difference. For him nothing had really happened, but to me it was like time had been standing still. Now I finally knew why he wanted to kill me. Not because I broke up with Dumon or anything like that, but because I broke my promise to him by siding with Yuma and Astral. Now I also knew where the voice of advice had been coming from. It was Mizar's. It all made sense now. Mizar was after all my...

"I am sorry" I whispered slowly as I looked up at Mizar with tearful eyes "I finally understand. I broke our promise. I am sorry. Can you forgive me Mizar sensei?". Then my world turned black.

Normal p.o.v.

Around the same time.

At the ship Tori was looking worriedly down at the ocean.

"Where could they be?" She questioned "I should have heard something by now. Unless they are unable to...". A giant energy ball filled with chaos energy appeared in front of her and cut her off before she could say anything else. The ball slowly transformed itself and soon Dumon was floating in front of her in his barian form.

"You are Dumon" Tori said and stated the obvious.

"If you and your friends are here, that must mean there is a number somewhere nearby" Dumon deducted and were glaring at Tori with his gray cold eyes.

"I don't know anything about numbers. All I know is that when they got here, they jumped into the ocean" Tori yelled back rather defensively, making the gray barian look down at the waters below.

"The ocean" The barian then mused out as he transformed into an energy ball again and flew down into the ocean, leaving a stunned Tori behind.

"Oh no. I hope Yuma and the others are gonna be okay" she uttered to herself.

Shark's p.o.v.

Shark: 4000 Lp's

Rio/Abyss: 4000 Lp's.

Shark glared down Abyss as the duel began. He was determined to free his sister. No matter what. He didn't know what Abyss's goal in this duel was, nor did he care. All he wanted to do was to defeat him and the quicker the better.

"My turn. I draw!" Shark stated as he did just that.

He started off his move by summoning 'Big jaws" to the field in att mode. It was a level 3 monster with 1800 att and 300 def points. Since he normal summoned a fish type monster, Shark could also special summon "Shark stickers" from his hand in att mode. (Lv 3, 200 att, 1000 def) He then overlaid both monsters to xyz summon rank 3 "Black ray lancer" to the field in att mode. Shark was sure that with black ray lancer's 2100 att points. He could deal some major damage to Abyss in the next turn. With that assessment Shark ended his turn with a face down.

"Then it is my move" Rio stated as she drew from her deck.

She started off her move by summoning "Gorgonic Golem" from her hand to the field in att mode. It was a level 3 dark attribute rock monster with 1200 att and 600 def points. Shark's eyebrows narrowed at that. Rio never have had that monster before. Meaning she was using this number guardian's deck. However, since Rio summoned a Gorgonic monster she could also special summon "Gorgonic Gargoyle" in att mode onto the field because of its own effect. It was a level 3 monster too, so Shark knew what was coming next. She was going for an xyz summoning.

"I overlay my two Gorgonic monsters in order to build the overlay network and xyz summon 'Gorgonic Guardian'" Rio then stated as a dark attribute serpent looking monster appeared onto the field now in att mode. It was a rank 3 too with 1600 att and 1200 def points. Shark hummed at that.

"1600 att points? Too bad by Black ray lancer has 2100 points. There is no way you can defeat me" Shark stated rather confidentially.

"Well we will have to see about that" Rio then proclaimed in a firm tone as she glared down Shark "I activate my Gorgonic guardian's special effect. By using one Ou I can negate the special effects of your black ray lancer and take away all its att points".

Shark looked in horror as the Gorgonic monster ate one of his overlay units and a beam got fired out from its eyes, turning his monster into stone.

"Black ray lancer! No!" Shark uttered in distress. His monster was useless now.

"And that is not all" Rio continued "Whenever Gorgonic guardian is on the field monsters with 0 att points are destroyed!".

Shark eyes widened in disbelief as his monster now got destroyed. He was blow to pieces so to speak. But that was not the worst of it. Since Shark no longer had any monsters on the field Rio made her guardian attack him directly. 1600 got deduced from his life points, leaving him only with 2400 life points remaining. Shark even got send flying and hit the ground pretty hard seconds later. He could hear how Rio ended his turn with a face down though.

"You are not good enough to get her back. Shall I remind you?!" Abyss then spoke through Rio and for some reasons her eyes were glowing now. Shark, who had been trying to get up from the ground, got hit by the vibrations Abyss sent out.

"Wait that light?" Shark questioned puzzled as he felt extremely weird all of the sudden "What is happening to me?!". Then his world went black.

When he opened his eyes again, Shark found himself in an entirely different place. He found himself sitting one a throne inside a giant throne room, where guards dressed in weird clothes, were stationed at the wall. As he looked around for clues, he found a mirror close at the throne, and realized he was no different. Dressed in golden armor with a blue cape wrapped around his neck, and a strange necklace around his neck. A weird crest was in it.

"I don't understand. What's going on? Where am I? And how did I get into these weird clothes!" Shark uttered out loud to himself.

"Brother" a voice then suddenly greeted him, and Shark turned surprised towards the voice.

Walking down the blue carpet from the other end of the room was Rio and she was sending him a caring smile. She was dressed in the get up she was wearing in his duel with Abyss. White long ropes of that of a priestess.

"We have been waiting for you. The time is finally here" Rio said which confused Shark.

"Time?" he asked, "Time for what?".

Rio send him a caring smile before she walked away. She did wave at him thou since she wanted him to follow. So, Shark did. After all what else were he supposed to do here. They entered a balcony and as Shark reached the edge, the sound of cheering could be heard. Shark found a crowd of people down in what he expected was a courtyard. People were happy to see him for some reason.

"As you can see, the subjects are happy to see their emperor" Rio said as she joined his side. She was sending the subjects smiles of gratitude now.

"You mean I am an emperor?" Shark questioned stunned, but his thoughts quickly lead to disbelief. There was no way this could be true. Abyss must be pulling his leg or something.

"Your majesty! Your majesty!" a new voice then suddenly yelled and a subject, Shark suspected was a guard, entered the balcony seconds later.

"The enemy is attacking!" the guard then yelled.

"The enemy?!".

Shark rushed to the harbor, where this enemy was sighted, riding a horse provided by his servants, and soon found himself at the outer ring wall fortress leading out to the sea. There he was met by a battalion of his supposed guards, as they all tried to explain the current situation to their ruler. A fleet of ancient ships were shown in the horizon, all wearing red sails with a white skull. Shark's first thought was that they were being attacked by pirates, but at the same time Shark had a feeling that was not the case. That banner and Skull he was sure he knew this from somewhere.

"This looks bad. Really bad" Shark mused to himself. He had no idea what to do here.

"Your majesty. Something is in the waters" one of the guard stated.

Just before three monsters emerged. They looked exactly like the Gorgonic guardians' monsters Rio had been using in his duel against Abyss. Without warning beams shut out from their eyes and hit his men. One of the guards had quickly pushed their emperor to the ground, and when Shark looked up again, he found half of his men here turned to stone. If that wasn't bad enough, a giant ancient warship who could only belong to a royal family, appeared in the front now. Shark could easily see the orange haired character dressed in weird ancient clothes and was sitting on the ship's throne.

"It's Vector!" Shark uttered out in horror.

"He is the mad warrior who has been attacking, plundering and pillaging our lands" one of the guards informed him, which only made Shark have a bad taste in his mouth. What was Vector doing here? Then something stirred in him and Shark...

Found himself back at the duel with Abyss. Rio's eyes were no longer glowing, and the vibrations were slowly wearing off. Shark figured that was the reason he was back here again. Even though he had no clue on where he had been. Shark finally got up on his feet as he was glaring up at Rio and Abyss. Both his hands were clenched in anger though. It was Abyss. He is the one playing tricks on me! But why? Shark shook his head. That really didn't matter right now. What matters was the duel.

"My turn. I draw!" Shark then stated before he looked through his hand to do the optimal move.

If I summon my monsters in att mode, Gorgonic guardian's effect would just destroy it again. If that is the case... Shark tossed down his monster in defense position and ended his turn. There was not much he could do after all. However, it was not a bad move either. The monster I just thrown down is my 'Skull kraken' and it has 1600 def points. Gorgonic guardian has only 1600 att points. That means I won't take any damage this turn. Or so he believed.

"Get ready dear brother. It is my move" Rio shouted as she drew. Then she sends him a confident smirk. "And I hope you don't think you have protected yourself from my Gorgonic guardian's attack, because now I activate my face down card. the spell 'gorgon charm'. It switches your face down monster face up".

"Wait what, but that means...Skull kraken!" Shark uttered in pure horror, as his Shark kraken was in face up defense position.

Since it was now visible to the gorgon's eyes, Rio activated her monster's effect. By using one Ou Shark's monster got turned to stone as it lost its effect and att points. Since all monsters with 0 att points was destroyed in the present of the Gorgonic monster, Shark was once again defenseless. But that was not all Rio did. She also activated the equip spell "Xyz unit" and targeted Gorgonic Guardian. It now gained 200 att points for every rank it has. It was a rank 3 so it gained 600 att points. (1600-2200att) Then Rio attacked Shark directly once again and he was sent flying to the ground once again. That attack left him with only 200 life points remaining now. He was in deep waters now.

Yuma's p.o.v.

In the meantime.

"Ahr Astral we gotta get out of here!" Yuma uttered rather frustrated.

His eyes were scanning their surroundings as new pathways were created by the labyrinth. It didn't him the fanciest clue however, on how to get out of here and find Shark and Rio. "Yuma look!" Astral then suddenly said as a weird light ball, or whatever it really was appeared in the sky above them. With a loud thump it even broke the surface on the barrier that was keeping the water from floating, and a giant geyser of water began falling down with great speed. It began slowly, but surely to fill up the ruin with water. From it however emerged Dumon and he were soon staring eye to eye with them both.

"Dumon? What are you doing here?" Yuma questioned rather puzzled.

"Yuma, Astral" Dumon started off. It was like they were sharing pleasantries before he answered his question. "I have been following you. I cannot allow you to have any more numbers". That pretty much explained everything.

"Then you better find some way to stop me" Yuma sneered back.

"You are an opponent that I will eventually have to defeat" Dumon then mused in a cold tone "And without our princess Zaira around to sadden by your death, I have no qualms in defeating the two of you. Yuma, Astral. Prepare yourself".

"Bring it on!" Yuma responded just as fiercely.

A,N: Well that seemed like a good place to stop, since the episode is ending and everything. The last episode being the last part of this ruin. The next chapter will of course be with Shark and his duel against Abyss. Shark is re visiting his memories as Abyss calls it. Zaira will show. Just not the way you think. As for the present Zaira and Mizar, who knows. I am sure it piques your interest lol. Please comment on what you think. Always like feedback.
