Mizar's p.o.v.

It was late in the evening and Mizar was currently in his room, sitting at his desk sorting through his deck once again. All so he could be ready for whenever he would face up against Kite Tenjo. All to prove that he indeed was the true galaxy master. It was a showdown he was looking forward to. All to show that he was the best. His Tachyon were growling pleased in the background. Just as his master, the dragon wanted to face the other Galaxy eyes to see who was best. They were alike in that way. After hard work of building his deck, Mizar got up to stretch his stiff body and head to bed, when knocks could be heard on his door. Suspicion was clear in his eyes as he glared at the door. Usually he didn't get visits that often if any at all. Especially not this late. He could see this as one of Vector's late pranks or something. He growled annoyed as he walked over towards the door.

"Who is disturbing me this late? If it is, you Vector I will let my dragon maim you!" Mizar sneered as he opened the door.

All his anger disappeared instantly as he did, however. At his doorstep was Dumon standing in barian form with a curled-up rope and puffed up eyes. His stony face was wet, clearly shown he had cried not long ago. To sum it up he looked like a nerve wrack who was about to break down any minute now. Mizar was not sure what to make of this.

"Dumon..." he finally managed to say. His voice changing from fierceness to softness in one go. He was worried about his friend.

"Sorry for the inconvenience. I know it is late, but... I didn't know where else to go" Dumon asked in a harsh dry voice. "May I come in? I know it had no real importance but... I do not wish to be...".

An arm wrapped around the shoulder of his distressed friend as Mizar pushed him lightly into the room. He could not send his friend away when he was in such a distressed state.

"Of course. Make yourself at home" he replied and puffed his friend gently further into the room "Want me to call the servants to bring a beverage here?".

"I would like that very much" Dumon let out in a half-strangled cry.

With a swift flick from his wrist Mizar summoned a servant. One he trusted and could keep quiet with this, and soon two giant cups of warm crystalized tea were in the hands of the two emperors. They were sitting at the edge of Mizar's bed. A place Mizar felt was necessary in case Dumon needed any sort of comfort. The yellow barian had no idea what was going on, but he could guess the circumstances. Dumon were only this heartbroken when it had something to do with Zaira. Of course, deep down, Mizar were hoping he was wrong. Silence were all around them as the two males absorbed the liquid. All so they could calm their nerves first.

"Dumon, what happened? What is the cause of this? I never seen you this down before" The yellow barian then asked slowly, and carefully.

"Zaira..." Dumon managed to say a little bit later, which confirmed Mizar's suspicions. He placed a hand on his shoulder. All to try encouraging him to continue and after a couple of sniffs and deep breaths, Dumon managed to continue "She broke up with me...". Tears fell down his cheeks now.

"Oh Dumon..." Mizar said. Sympathy and tenderness shown in his voice now.

"She chooses Reginald Kastle over me!" he cried loudly "Said she had another life now. She does not love me any longer!". Sobbing cries could be heard as Dumon tossed his head down in the bed, in an attempt of hiding his crying face.

"Dumon! Dumon! Pull yourself together!" Mizar sneered since being caring and sympathetic clearly wasn't the way to go "How do you even know she broke up with you? Have you been to Earth without telling me? If not, this is all a nasty dream...".

"A Dream? Yeah right? I wish that was true!" Dumon sneered as he now were glaring at him with angry tear-filled eyes "Zaira's ruin guardian appeared in barian world and kidnapped me along with her current boyfriend Reginald Kastle. All to force Zaira to duel her. I was lucky to have escaped alive. It was there...there Zaira broke up with me! The love of my life turned me away!!".

Another distressful cry could be heard as Dumon burrowed his face in his bed again. This time Mizar let him do it. He was not getting anywhere anyway. He did make a mental note of all the info Dumon provided him with though. It could be helpful later. All he could do at the moment was being there, letting his friend cry out his sorrow. All while padding his shoulder once in a while. All to remind him that he was here for him. After a while, the cries became small sobs though and Mizar decided it was the right time to act.

"You do know she have memory loss Dumon. I thought our plan were to approach her slowly..." he began but remembered the guardian had forced Dumon into this situation, so would that even count? He sighed deeply "No scratch that. You couldn't prevent it this time. It was not yours to blame...".

"I... I might have gone Regardless..." Dumon said and sighed "I love her Mizar. Being away from her... it is inevitable. Especially since she has made her choice".

"Wait what choice? Breaking up with you?" Mizar questioned rather puzzled "You know her current actions are only build on her present memories. I am sure she would never have done this if she did remember your relationship...".

"It doesn't really matter Mizar..." Dumon said slowly as he got up whipping his face clean "Zaira made her choice. She is joining Astral and Yuma in the war...".

"She is WHAT?!" Mizar uttered. Rage ringing through him like a wildfire. "You need to tell me everything Dumon. You just have to".

And that he did. He told Mizar everything that had happened in the ruin. How Zaira had won the duel and how she had told them they were enemies. Mizar had tensed at that. His hands were clenched into two angry fists of fury. Zaira had clearly not taken his latest warning serious.

"She is a traitor!" Mizar hissed as soon as Dumon were done telling his story.

"Wh-What?!" Dumon uttered rather shocked and looked at his friend.

"I said She is a traitor! She has betrayed all of us and Barian world!" Mizar sneered angrily out once again "She is not fit to call herself a barian. We need to...".

He didn't manage to say anything more, because a blast of pure energy hit his chest and send him flying into the other side of the room. He even hit a shelf and soon found books raining down on him, as he was lying on the ground and hissing in pain. He was happy Barian had an extreme high pain tolerance. In front of him now was an extremely pissed Dumon though. Even with a few tears in the corner of his eyes, he was an extremely imposing figure right now.

"You DARE say that about her!" He yelled furiously "Zaira is NO traitor. You may be my friendly associate and even outrank her, but that does not mean you can badmouth her in my presence. You are not to touch a hair on her head. Do you understand Mizar? Or do I have to toss you in the dungeon for disobedience!".

Mizar hissed angrily to himself now. He had forgotten who he was speaking to here. Dumon were after all the substitute leader of their people until Nash and Marin returned. Regardless if he was on a mental breakdown right now or not, he was barian in charge. Even Vector feared and had respect for him and that said a lot.

"Yes..." He began but noticed Dumon's cold glare and continued "Yes Lord Dumon. I will not touch a hair on her head. I spoke over me, and for that I will apologize".

"Good. I will take my leave now Mizar. We have a lot of work to do tomorrow, and I expect you to show up" Dumon said in a firm order before he left the room.

Mizar growled as he got up from the floor. He was lucky his possessions were sturdy, or he might have to go get a new shelf, but it was easy move back to its original position. He would have a servant clean up that mess later. Mizar snort to himself. At least his friend was up and working, which were a miserable consolation prize all things considered. Mizar hissed angrily as an energy blast appeared in his hand. He didn't care with what Dumon thought about this. Zaira was a traitor!

Zaira's p.o.v.

Crystals were all around me once again and knew instantly I was in barian world. I had been there once before, and where else would there be a place filled with crystals tundra's and red colored sky? But even so, with all those facts, I still had no clue where I was. The scenery was changeable and sometimes covered in darkness. It was like walking in a thick fog and it didn't take me long to be lost. Not that the location helped. I had only been in Vector's room and the hallways of barian world. Anything else were not familiar to me and were at the same time. It was like the reality were wrapped sometimes.

"Ha-ha sis you are always so clueless!" a voice then suddenly said, and I found myself face to face with Vector of all people.

The only thing different was that he was dressed. It was so unrelated his usual leather dress code. He was in ancient clothes and even carried a giant sword in his hands. That should really intimidate me, but it didn't. Instead I lid up and ran happily over to him burying myself at his chest with a happy squeal.

"Nii san! Nii san I missed you so much!".

His arms wrapped around me as he chuckled that insane laugher, I was so used hearing.

"Me too Zaira sis. Me too. Now did you kill Nash for me?".

I looked puzzled up at him. The question had surprised me big time. Kill Nash? Who was that? Funny enough it didn't disturb me one bit that I had to kill someone though.

"Kill Nash? Who is that? Why should I kill him for you?" I asked and could feel Vector chuckle as he let a hand roam through my orange locks. As a teaser he even pulled in one.

"Why? Because that is your mission Zaira sis. You are my General after all. Have you forgotten that?" He questioned and smirked "Don't tell me you intend to fail me?".

"I... I don't know... Vector Nii san. My memories are so blurry" I replied and let slowly go of him. Now I was actually fretting for my safety. "Are you mad...? Are you here to kill me?".

"My sweat little sister" Vector responded. He looked hurt as he broke the space between us. His forehead was resting on mine in a carrying matter "I am hurt you would think so ill of me. You are my sweet little sister and I care deeply about you".

A kiss got planted on my forehead and I once again felt safe. My brother was not going to kill me for my failure.

"Although... He might not be so lenient with you Zaira sis".

Vector had just said that when thunder could be heard, and a giant imposing figure were suddenly standing in Vector's place. Thunder were roaming in the sky and suddenly I was standing at the edge of a deep cliff. Falling down there will kill me without any questions. Something stuck my chest without warning. Lightning? An arrow? Energy blasts? Whatever it was it didn't matter, because it forced me backwards down the cliff with deep speed. I let out a terrified scream! I was going to die!

"Zaira!" another voice screamed, and a hand grabbed mine.

I sighed relieved at first. That until I realized my rescuer had be so foolish to follow me into my, our, soon to be doom. Grey rocky skin had grabbed around my wrist though as His grey eyes were looking at me worriedly. I instantly knew it was Dumon of all people.

"Dumon? What are you doing here?" I sneered angrily "Why are you rescuing me? I broke your heart. You should be mad and angry at me".

"You can break my heart a million times over, but it will never change the love I feel for you Zaira" The grey barian replied and rubbed my cheek affectionate. "I will always be here to protect and save you from danger".

Tears welled up and fell down my cheeks. How could he say things like this after that breakup? I would be furious if that was the case. However, Dumon didn't say or do anything. He was only holding me close. His own way to protect me for whatever was going to happen. Fog were around us again and weird pictures emerged. None of them made any sense to me. I couldn't even see what they were.

"Zaira your destiny is soon at hand. You have to make a choice!".

A voice suddenly ran all around us and confused both of us "Who are you Zaira Wroom?". I looked puzzled around. There was no one here. I was about to ask, who this unknown stranger was, when another voice began talking.

"Zaira? Zaira where are you? Answer me mistress? Please return home with me!".

I didn't need many seconds to know that this voice was Cy's. I looked around to find him, but he was nowhere to be seen. What did he mean by returning home with him though?

"I got you!" a new voice suddenly said as a human hand had grabbed mine and stopped both mine and Dumon's fall. Purple eyes were looking down at me, from another cliff and I sighed relieved.

"Reginald Kastle?!" Dumon uttered stunned. His hand was still locked with my other hand and we were both dangling over the foggy abyss. "Why are you here?". '

"Yeah like you are the only one taking credit from rescuing Our Zaira Dumon" I could hear Shark sneer "Now hold on tight so I can pull you up...". Then the ground crashed around him too, and we all fell down in the abyss.

Time skip.

"Well look who it is. The sleeping beauty has awakened finally".

That was the first words Kairi greeted me as I entered the kitchen. Both Kairi and Grandma Haru was presented. Kairi purring a cup of coffee from the coffee maker. Properly the only reason she was down here in the first place. I heard she had to write a big shot story for her editor today. I growled annoyed as I grabbed a burned toast bread with marmalade. What was her problem? Just because it was 11 in the morning, didn't give her the right to give me that kind of greeting. It was weekend for goodness sake. I could sleep as long as I wanted.

"Well it is nice to see you up and about again dear" Haru greeted. She was sitting at the table and reading the newspaper while drinking a cup of tea "Yuma and his friends already left for today. Had some adventuring to make. I am surprised that you are not joining him".

I shrugged as I bit off a corner of my bread. I didn't really feel like going with them, and Yuma and Astral had understood, strangely enough. Even Shark had been considerate when I decided not to go gather the two remaining numbers. It was like they all knew something I didn't.

"I don't feel like it. That's all" I responded and tossed the other half of the waste bucket "I will be outside in the garden if anyone needs me".

"But Zaira you barely ate breakfast" Grandma Haru uttered stunned "Are you well child? You are not getting sick, are you?".

"No, I am just not hungry" I answered fiercely "That is not a crime!".

"Did you and that Reginald have a spat?" Kairi suddenly questioned and made me hiss annoyed "You behave the same way I did when Charlie broke up with me...".

"We didn't have a spat!" I yelled angrily "Everything is fine. So just lay off!". Then I marched out rather angry. I felt like I was interrogated here!

Shark's p.o.v.

In the meantime, at the ship.

Shark sighed deeply as he were staring distantly at the energy readings on the monitors. He had decided he was in charge of that, but in reality, had been an excuse to be alone. He should be fine. He should be Happy, his girlfriend Zaira told Dumon off and committed herself to him truly. He should be happy. He should be thrilled! But all he was feeling was misery. Or in this case Her misery, Last time they were together, Shark had seen it in Zaira's eyes. The hurt, the pain that reflected there, and even though he was not the one doing the deed, it hurt him that she was unhappy. For that reason, he had let her go. For that reason, he had even let her go back to Heartland with Kite of all people, and he had lacking trust in him to begin with. He knew Zaira would not admit it, to herself or others around her, but breaking up with Dumon made her grief for a relationship she couldn't even remember. But it had been shown in her eyes and properly also in her heart. Shark growled annoyed. It almost made him regret his decision. Maybe she shouldn't be alone right now. Maybe she should be surrounded by friends and Himself. That might help, but at the same time he knew Zaira needed time. She would return to them, Him, when she was ready. That he knew. And so, did he. Shark would never admit it, not to anyone and especially not Dumon, but seeing Zaira this hurt, this vulnerable, made him reconsider his relationship and even, as a fluctuating through of course, consider going to barian world and drag Dumon to earth, so They could share her together. Zaira did seem happier with both of them there. Besides, Dumon created this mess, so he should be the one fixing it damn it! Shark hissed annoyed. Now he actually wished he had never met that geeky gray haired barian. Things would be so much simpler. Hands wrapped around his eyes and covered his sight for at least some seconds.

"Guess who!" he could hear his sister singsong. After all who else could play such a childish game on him but Rio.

"Rio stop with these childish games already" Shark sneered back as his sister finally removed her hands from his face. He could hear her chuckle.

"Ah come on Reginald, that was a classic" she replied and grinned "Besides, I have no intension on stopping until you stop mopping about".

"I am not morphing about!" Shark sneered back in annoyance.

"Says the guy with that grim Impression" Rio countered and pushed him away from the station "Go take a breather Reginald. I would feel a lot safer if you were not the one at the control station. We are at the ruin's soon anyway so go tell Yuma".

She pointed at one of the camera feed that showed Yuma standing on the ship deck outside, and were like Rio called him, moping about as well. Clearly Rio's way of telling him to have a guy talk with Yuma and Astral and stop moping. Cursing words entered his mouth as he marched towards the deck rather annoyed.

He found Yuma at the edge of the deck and were having a conversation with his floating friend Astral. They were discussing a topic Shark was very familiar with.

"Hey Astral are you sure that the barians started out as humans?" Yuma asked.

"I do not doubt the memories I received from the numbers" Astral mused slowly "Even our Zaira were once human remember? We were at her ruin recently".

"Yeah I know that" Yuma mused slowly and turned towards his friend "It is just what turned them into Barians? There has to be a reason, right?".

"It is possible that there was some common factor in their legends that reincarnated them as Barians" Astral mused thoughtfully. Shark snort and walked forward.

"If you are smart you won't worry about who or what the barians are" He stated and could see how Yuma looked surprised at him. He clearly hadn't noticed Shark beforehand. All which made the purple haired male snort.

"Why is that? Zaira is one. I thought you would be more curious" Yuma then said.

"So, that doesn't change the fact that I love her. Besides, she is one of us" Shark counted and crossed his arms over his chest "I suggest you take my advice seriously Yuma and don't let personal feelings are involved. Things always get messy. You do remember what happened with your friend Ray?".

Shark could see how the lobster haired boy shuttered at the memory at first, but then he was looking at him with determined eyes.

"Then what is your reason? What makes you battle against the barians Shark?" Yuma questioned him. Shark snort coldly at that.

"I wanna make them pay for what they did to me and my sister" Shark started off fiercely "That and I wanna protect Zaira from their evil claws. Nothing more, nothing less". He could hear Astral hum beside Yuma now.

"I assume that your philosophy prevents you from bringing emotions into a duel?" the astral being questioned.

"Yeah. I duel for myself and Zaira. Period. I don't need anyone else tying me down" He hissed back at Astral "Rio said we are soon at the ruins. I will prepare myself if I were you".

Then he walked back inside, leaving a screaming Yuma, that surely wanted him to stay, in order for him to persuade him otherwise, but Shark didn't let him. He didn't need his support. He was fine on his own.

Mizar's p.o.v.

At a construction site, giving them a perfect view over Hearland city, was Dumon and Mizar standing in their human form, and were mentally preparing themselves for the soon to be battle. Or at least Mizar was. He had no idea what his friend and current leader was thinking.

"So, you are absolutely certain Zaira is not on board Astral's ship at the moment?" Dumon asked as he bit his lip in worry.

He was cooping very well now compared to last night, but it was clear that the gray barian still felt rather hurt. Mizar couldn't blame him. He was there when they unofficially began dating in barian world. Or as Dumon called it, spending time together. It was against the code for an unclassified barian to date a barian emperor. It was protocol. Zaira had to face the barian test, but no matter the outcome, she could date Dumon afterwards. Nash meant that the teaching for a newborn barian and their studies came first. It gave them a chance to get used to their world and everything else in it, before getting distracted by anything else. Mizar usually also agreed, but the love those two were having for each other, while hiding it from everyone else, but him, showed him otherwise. It was not like Dumon could distract Zaira from becoming an empress herself. It was more the other way around. Mizar would smile inside at the memories of how Dumon had been so distracted by her, that he of all people neglected his work to barian world. He had to cover for him a lot of times. However, now with Zaira's recent breakup, all that was being tossed away, and it gave Mizar a foul taste in his mouth.

"Yes, I am sure. You will not run into her on your mission. You have my word" Mizar replied dutifully. He had not forgotten the episode in his room last night. "But why you still wanna go after these mytherian numbers, is beyond me".

"I am certain the last remaining ruins, will lead me to my search in finding our leader Nash and Merin" Dumon replied firmly "Besides, we need those numbers to protect barian world, and the mission comes first".

"It doesn't matter what you say Dumon. I am done looking for those numbers" Mizar replied, "I am only here because You ordered me to".

"Is it because that legend at the ruin claimed you were human once?" Dumon then asked "Believe me when I say that it was a shock for all of us. Not just you".

"I am a barian!" Mizar sneered back rather fiercely "I could never have been a filthy human!". He could feel Dumon's gray eyes study him now.

"However, you may feel about those stories I am certain the last remaining legends will tell me about Nash and Marin. It is the upmost importance that I find them and restore them as our rightful leader" Dumon lectured firmly.

"Yeah and it will get the pressure of your back, so you can mourn over Zaira" Mizar thought, but he of course didn't share it with his leader at the moment.

He did wonder however, that if Zaira was in fact on the Ship along with Astral, would Dumon have it in him to go? He was not sure his friend was strong enough to face her. It was for that reason he was going to do this.

"I trust you will take care of barian world while I am away?" Dumon then asked him.

"You have my word Dumon" Mizar replied and bowed.

"Good, and remember, do not touch a hair on Zaira's head. You will answer to me if you do!" Dumon hissed as he took on his barian form.

His gray eyes were glaring at him. Mizar nodded. He had given his word. He kept his promises. Before long, Dumon disappeared through a portal and left him alone on the construction site.

"Hmm I swore to not touch a hair on her head" Mizar mused, and a faint smile appeared on his lips. An energy ball appeared in his hands now "He said nothing about energy blasts touching her...".

Yuma's p.o.v.

A strong storm was swirling around them as Yuma and his crew appeared at the supposedly ruin's location. They were currently in the middle of the Atlantean sea somewhere, but the storm was to intense that they couldn't see anything. Yuma even ended up being bumped around because of the turbulence.

"Rio are you sure this is where the ruins are?" Shark asked his sister.

"The coordinates say it is!" she yelled back. She was having a tight grip in the control panel as well. "It is differently the place...". Yuma noticed that Rio suddenly stopped talking for a sec and that her brother Shark had to snap her out of it.

"Rio what's the matter?" Shark had asked and Rio had just stated nothing. Yuma was not sure if she lied, but it didn't seem like anything was wrong, so he believed her.

"I believe it would be wise to leave this area. At least for the time being" Astral then suggested. Yuma was agreeing on that. He had it with the bouncing. Sadly, fate was so cruel to them, because suddenly the power of the ship shut down.

"It appears our airship is gonna stay right were it is" Astral commented which only made Yuma pretty annoyed. Everyone could see that.

"Who are you?! Show yourself now!" Rio then suddenly shouted and were looking around in the ship, like she was looking for someone. "Why are you calling me? What do you want from me?!". Yuma and the others were staring confused at her.

"Wait Rio? Who are you talking to?" Shark then questioned in a worried tone. As he had said that the lights of the ship turned off, leaving them all in darkness.

"What's up with the lights?" Yuma uttered shocked.

"Rio can you sense something? What's going on?" Tori uttered worried as well. There was no answer, but suddenly the lights were back on again. Without any explanation which confused Yuma quite a deal. What was going on here?

"The lights are back..." Yuma stated as he looked around in confusion.

"But something feels different now..." Shark mused. He turned towards the spot where Rio had just been at, only to find that she was gone.

"Rio! Rio!" Shark began shouting, making everyone turn around and look for her.

"Shark look at the monitors!" Yuma then uttered and made Shark turn towards the place he was pointing at.

There was Rio, outside at the deck of the ship. It looked like she was walking towards the railing. Yuma was sure something was off with her. It was like she was in a trance or something.

"Why would she go out on the deck of the ship like that? There is a huge storm out there?" Yuma questioned puzzled.

He could hear how Shark growled annoyed as he rushed after his sister out on the ship's deck. Yuma of course decided to follow. A distress sight followed him. Shark was standing at the middle of the deck in horror as he noticed her sister toss herself overboard and into the ocean below. Yuma didn't even manage to count to 5 before Shark had jumped after her in an attempt to save her. In the end Yuma decided to jump after them, with Astral trailing along, and soon they were caught by the ocean currents.

Zaira's p.o.v.

Around the same time.

"Huff, huff, tell me why I am doing this again?!" I growled as I pulled myself up the long staircase to Roku's sanctuary, carrying a massive bag with food.

"Your grandma was worried about you Mistress and send you here" I could hear Cy say inside our shared soul and I growled annoyed. I was apparently an alpha wolf, Tala said so, but I couldn't say no to Grandma Haru, what's up with that?

"Stop complaining and do it. This exercise will give you the strength and power you need to duel. Don't tell me you are quitting?!".

"Who said anything about quitting?!" I hissed out loud rather fiercely and pulled the bag further up my back. With quick steps I were spurting up the stairs as fast as my leg could muster. After that, it didn't take long to reach the sanctuary.

"You did it, Mistress, but who were you talking to earlier?" I could hear Cy say.

I took a deep breath and shook my head in confusion. Who had that voice been earlier? It was so familiar, and I was sure I had heard it before. Now that I thought about it, it was not the first time this voice was reprimanding my training, whatever training it was talking about. Last time I was here a voice also telling me stuff like this. Was Roku's mansion haunted or was it just me?

"Zaira!". A shouting voice said and soon I found myself pulled into a hug, blue lock hitting my face seconds later. I groaned slightly, knowing full well Haku were greeting me right now.

"It has been so long Zaira" Haku then said and let go of me, but still shaking my hand like crazy "How have you been? And you brought food? Are you by yourself or am I expecting the red-haired boy any minute now?".

I sighed before pushing the girl away before getting myself up again. Of course, Haku had to tackle me to the ground.

"I am fine, thank you very much. Grandma send me up here with food for some weird reason, so lets just get it over with" I bit her off. I properly came off fiercer as I wanted, but if Haku noticed, she didn't let it get to her.

"Right! I am sure the master will be pleased. We are gonna have so much fun!" she uttered and ran off we me. Here we go again!

Time skip.

"So Haru brings you here, because she believes something is bothering you?" Roku questioned with a sweet smile. "How sweet of her. She must hold you very dear".

"Well yeah I guess that is true" I mused out slowly "But there is nothing bothering me really. I am fine".

We were currently inside the duel sanctuary sitting on the Zabuton cushions on the floor. It is a Japanese sitting cushion really. Used for meditation. Grandma Haru had one at home with us. I didn't understand why he suddenly had to be all formal on me. We had been here before, Yuma and I, we never needed to sit on these before. My eyes wandered to Haku sitting a bit away drinking her tea without a care in the world. She was not sitting on such a pillow.

"Yes, Yes I am sure you think so" Roku replied and chuckled "Maybe even feel so, but sometimes people needs a need a new perspective in order to accept reality...".

"Yeah whatever. I didn't get any of that" I snort out "Are we done here? Grandma Haru didn't want me back in the house before I had been here".

"Oh Zaira, you are clearly been hit hard. It is a bit uncommon that I take in duelists with these kinds of issues, but in your case, I am making an exception. Not many people can deal with your ferociousness when you first get stubborn" Roku lectured and sighed.

I was about to ask what he meant by that when he suddenly waved over Haku. She was now holding a mirror towards me.

"Tell me what you see Zaira" Roku then advised, making me look puzzled at him.

"I see myself" I answered honestly, which made Roku nod approving.

"Yes, but tell me Zaira, without the mirror, can you see yourself?" Roku then said making me very confused. He chuckled "Of course not. We might see our body, hands and feet, but not your face. That is what the mirror is for. However, we can feel it. Touch our nose, mouth and ear".

"Um yeah I guess so, where are you going with this master Roku?" I asked slowly.

"Well to see yourself truly, you either need someone telling you or a mirror. And right now, you are not able to see yourself or your heart for that matter. You need someone's perspective" the old man replied and took my hand "You can be so stubborn Zaira. Grandma Haru knew you wouldn't listen to her or anyone else on this matter, but she was sure you wouldn't refuse my advice. I can't disagree on that. Just know I want the best for you when I tell you this Zaira".

"Um okay..." I said really slowly. I didn't like where this was going.

"You are grieving Zaira. It is plain as a day and written all over your face" Roku then said and sighed "I do not know the reason for this, and I don't wanna know, but if you don't accept it and move on, it might consume you...".

"Grieving?! Yeah right? That is a good one Master. I am not grieving. What should I be grieving over" I blabbed out like crazy "Besides, we haven't been together for years to come or even remembers it? I broke up with him and...". In the end I ended up with covering my mouth. I had said too much.

"Oh Zaira" Haku said and hugged me gently "It does not matter that your mind does not remember, because your heart still does. And it is grieving. If you stop deceiving yourself, you will know we are right. It is natural progress of life and...".

"No! No! I am not grieving!" I shouted and pushed Haku away from me. Tears were already falling down my cheeks now, as I progressed the situation. Because deep down I already knew. I just didn't want to accept it "I am not grieving over him! No matter what you say...!". Then I literally ran out of the duel sanctuary as fast as I could.

Time skip.

I was running and running. Not care where or why. I just needed to get away from the sanctuary as fast as I could. Tears were running like hell down my cheeks though, they were covering my eyes, and I fell over a tree root. I hit the ground pretty hard. I let out a cry and this time I couldn't hold it back. Just like Roku and Haku had said. I was grieving. Grieving over my breakup with Dumon. No matter how much sense it gave. My heart remembered even though my memories didn't. For a while I was just lying there, letting the pain out. It actually did help. When I first accepted it and didn't try to ignore it that is. Sure, I don't think the pain was gone, when I finally stopped crying, it might never go away, but I was feeling a bit better. Enough at least to get myself up, I didn't want or could lie on the ground all day. Then my eyes widened in surprise. The place I was at right now, was the place where Mizar had activated a barian sphere field and challenged Yuma, and later Kite, to a duel. What I first had thought was a tree root was in fact the cracks in the ground, the energy of the duel had created. Or the duel with Mizar and Kite had. Talk about close call though. The fissure Yuma, Shark and I had fallen down in had only been meters away. If I hadn't tripped earlier, I might have... I gulped slightly. Who knows what might have happened? I took some steps back. Whatever reason I lead me here, didn't mean that I had to stay. Or so did I believe.

"Mistress dug!" I could then hear Cy shout at me, and by pure instinct I did. An energy blast flew past me and hit a tree a bit away. It disappeared instantly in a rain or sparkling energies now. Had that blast hit me, it would have been me.

"Ah missed again. I was going for merciful death, but that doesn't seem to be happening anytime soon" A voice then suddenly said, and Mizar appeared on a tree branch some meters away.

It was pretty ironic since this was the place, he had tried to blast me last time. Mizar did seem to recognize the place though, as he was scanning the area for unknown reasons.

"Mizar" I uttered making the yellow but now humanoid barian look at me.

"You are still sloppy Zaira. I would even go so far to say that you haven't learned a thing since our last encounter" he mocked.

A more concentrated energy blast than the ones he had used on Tori last time we were here, were assembled in his right palm right now. I had a sneaky suspicion that if this hit me, I was gone. Just like the tree.

"Which only make me slightly regret what is about to happen now" He continued. He was glaring at me with his cold blue eyes and I gulped a little. This was clearly not a friendly visit that was for sure.

"If this is because of me breaking up with Dumon, I am sure we can talk this through Mizar" I tried to reason with him. But that only backfired.

"Ha we don't have anything to talk about Zaira Wroom. I told you to stay out of our way" Mizar hissed angrily "I warned you that if you stayed on the Astral prince's side, I would kill you!".

A,N: Oh, dear lord. Ending the story chapter with a dead threat. How could I? Well as you can see I could. Especially since I am the author lol. The story is getting intriguing. I am soon at the end of the book. Only few chapters to go. That and I wanted to write this part with Mizar and Zaira so bad, that I couldn't help myself. However, hopefully this chapter kept your excitement tingling, just like mine. In the next chapter, well you can guess what happens. But Shark and Yuma also faces the ruin's guardian abyss for the numbers. I haven't decided if this is in two or three parts. There are gonna be happening in the next chapter, that I don't know if it can contain all of it. However, hope you will be looking forward to it. Please comment on what you think.
