My eyes fluttered open and I let out a groan.

"She's up." A deep voice said.

I set up and frowned as I saw chains on my wrists.

"Kari!" A voice exclaimed happily.

"Bo? Mako.... Where's Korra?" I asked as I looked around.

"The Queen has her."

"Thank the spirits.... Korra will probably already be out of there before they make it to Ba Sing Se." I said as I let out a sigh of relief.

I looked around and saw Ghazan and another woman. I felt eyes on me and turned to see a woman with three eyes watching me. My heart stopped and I looked at her shocked.

"I know you." I said softly.

I saw a small smile appear on her face and she looked at Zaheer.

"Yea we all know them." Mako said with a frown.

"No... I.. I don't know how to explain it but for the past few weeks I have been having dreams about... well her."

"Wow, was like Vaatu trying to warm us about them coming for Korra?" Bolin asked shocked.

"No... I.. I don't think he was." I said with a frown.

I set back against the wall of the van and let out a sigh.

"Hey are you okay?" Bolin asked softly.

"I... I don't know." I said softly.

"Okay you have been acting weird since the Convergence. What's going on? Is it Vaatu?" Mako asked with a frown.

"No, I have him under control."

"No you don't."

"Shut up, I do too and it's not him... it's.. I learned something after the convergence.

"What did you learn?" Bolin asked softly.

"Koda and Lin... well they-"

"Aren't your parents." Mako said calmly.

I sent him a look and he let out a sigh.

"Lin told me while I was staying at the station. She asked me to watch out for you." He explained.

I looked away and he gently kicked me.

"Hey Lin does care about you, she just... doesn't know how to show it." Mako said softly.

"Wait they aren't your parents! Then who is?" Bolin asked shocked.

I let out a sigh and pulled my legs to my chest.

"I don't know, but I have been seeing her in my dreams and if I am correct... you all know my parents." I said softly.

"We do." Ghazan said as he watched me.

"You gonna tell her who they are?" Mako asked with a frown.

"Only if she asks." Zaheer said from up front.

Mako sent me a look and I crossed my legs.

"Ask."

"Hey, this is your chance to know." Bolin said with a smile.

"What if I don't like the answer?" I asked softly.

"Hey, look at me." Bolin said as I kept my eyes on my hands.

He said my name and I looked up.

"No matter who your parents are, that isn't gonna change you. I mean you had a dark spirit control you and you fought it. You were forced to work for Amon and had a shock collar on and still fought him to keep Korra safe. There is nothing that you can't do and your parents... who ever they are... they can't change you." He said with a soft smile.

"You forgot that I almost killed both you and Mako while possessed by Vaatu."

"Yea, but your love for us stopped you from killing us."

I smiled softly and Mako let out a sigh.

"Okay what Bolin is saying is true, no matter what we are here for you and there is nothing that will change that."

"What if Zaheer is my father? Or worse this guy." I said pointing to Ghazan.

"Trust me he isn't your father. If he was you probably wouldn't of survived two years." The woman said from beside him.

"Two years? I thought I spent three years with my birth parents." I said as my eyes went wide.

"No it was two. You were two when they took you."

"I'm a year younger then I thought I was?" I asked shocked.

"So we thought you were turning eighteen... but that means.. you're turning seventeen. Oh my god! Yes that means my girlfriend is younger then me!" Bolin yelled happily.

"By like a few months." I grumbled out.

"Still finally!" Bolin yelled.

I rolled my eyes and let out a groan as I realized Bolin wasn't going to shut up about this.

"You know what! Fine tell me who my parents are!" I snapped.

"You didn't ask nicely." Ghazan said with a smirk.

I shot air at him and he hit the back of his head on the van.

"That nice enough for you?" I asked with a growl.

"Enough. We will tell her later, after we have the avatar." Zaheer said sternly.

"If you think holding us hostage will give you some leverage against the Avatar, you're gonna be very disappointed." Mako said angrily.

"Can't we just enjoy our time together in silence?" The waterbender said with a frown.

"And why did you need Korra alive back in Zaofu? You had her paralyzed. Why didn't you just take her out when you had the chance?" Mako asked with a frown.

"Look, all you need to know is that the world is about to change, for the better." Ghazan said calmly.

"So you guys were like locked up for fifteen years, huh? It must've been like crazy boring." Bolin said calmly.

"Actually, it was only thirteen years. But it felt like thirty."

"I mean, what did you do with all that time? Did you sing songs, work on crafts?"

"Not a lot of craft supplies in a volcanic prison cell." The water bender said as she looked away.

"And I must've renamed the constellations about a thousand times. When it rained, that was a big event." Ghazan said as he leaned back.

"I would've killed for some rain. Mostly I just made up stories about the guards: who was having trouble with his girlfriend; which one secretly wished he'd become a pastry chef."

"Ooh okay, that sounds like fun. Let me try that on you guys. You were raised by an older sister, your mustache grew in when you were ten and I'm sensing - just sensing - an unspoken attraction between you two." Bolin said as he looked between both of them.

They both glanced at each other awkwardly and the waterbender gave Ghazan a sulking look and turned away.

"Two out of three. Not bad." Ghazan said with a smirk.

"Bolin, would you stop making friends with the bad guys?" Mako snapped.

"Sorry!"

"Ghazan, gag those two. We're almost there." Zaheer ordered.

"Wait why isn't she-"

Bolin was cut off by a gag being shoved in his mouth. I held back a laugh and smiled as Mako sent them a glare.

"You know... I always wondered if there was a way to make Bolin be quiet... now I know I just have to have a gag to shut him up." I said with a smile.

Bolin mumbled something and Mako let out a groan.
